This site wasn't made to cater for our every need. Boss - our only tech support- just finished a week doing maintenance updates for the site and he deserves to rest. [Read here]. If you are no longer satisfied with the site, you are free to go.

I don't understand why someone - who posted a link to restricted material and got banned then got his account back because his followers annoyed the mods and the admin, which is basically cyberbullying - think that it is okay to call AFF names and gather his unknowing minions again to do the same thing for an author who unrated her chapters, thus re-classifying it as an unrated fic, got featured for the second time in the non-rated section which resulted to it getting unfeatured. Mind you, not marking fics appropriately is a bannable offense and she just lost her star. Anyway, she too is calling forth her followers to message his twitter account.

Know what, if he didn't link restricted material, he won't get a warning, he won't get banned, he won't be needing to make another account to re-post his stories - stories that the algorithm measured the upvotes before they got banned again, and the algorithm won't have to feature them. Boss, then, wouldn't have to unfeature them coz what is the use if readers can't access it. And the algorithm, again, won't have to choose another fic to be featured. Which happened to be her fic. So, tell me if it is still AFF's fault.

I don't have to shield the mods or the admin. They can take care of themselves. They obviously have more power than me to deal with them. Because at this point, nothing I say will make a difference. And I don''t care anymore what happens to them.

But I just want to remind everyone that the moderators and boss are doing what they can to keep this site running. No matter how they make them out as the 'enemies' or 'lazy people who can't do their jobs right', know that that isn't true. Also, messaging his twitter account isn't the right way to file a report. We only use that if we can't access the site.

Most importantly, being polite and humble will take you a long way.

I think perspective is important. Users need to remember that no matter how popular their stories are, they are one person on a site with 500 000+ users. Not only that, it's a fanfiction site! For RECREATIONAL PURPOSES. Boss Nichi didn't have to create the site, he doesn't have to keep working to improve it.

Let's not be ungrateful, unappreciative and self-entitled just because we wrote a fanfic that got featured.

In full agreement Keeper.

Maybe it's time to accept that if users like that are upset, Im fully happy to hold the door for them as they walk out ;)
