jay is very imaginative, being the one who is talented at art. she uses her imagination for almost anything she does every single day and it always surprises others whenever she is just thinking of how she should design her math binder. even her meaningless doodles look like they're well thought out masterpieces. It's really part of her, using her imagination. she is sometimes described as a dreamy girl because of this. whenever she can't use her imagination, she always feels as if like something is missing.

she's also a protective person. if someone offends a friend, family member, or classmate of hers, she'll defend them in a snap of a finger. jay doesn't like seeing anyone she cares be hurt emotionally or physically and would do anything to avoid that. she makes sure that everyone has no problems and isn't feeling stressed. once jay knows they have a problem, she'll bug them until they tell her. she wants them to make the weight lighten and pass it to her so she can also help. she doesn't want anyone she cares for face their problems alone.

Background : jay came from a rich a family where her mother works as a professional wedding photographer and her father was a famous soccer player. but when her father passed away, all their money had gone to waste and they hadn't had any money since, until her step-father came and helped them. he helped lived and her mother eventually fell in love with him and they got married. jay became the girl she used to be again and moved back to korea, incase something else happens, she had her grandmother, grandfather and some of her mother and father's brothers and sisters. her mother continued her work in korea and sometimes flew back to autralia when the company over there needed help.

How did you get in the agency : a few months after being accepted in starship entertainment, she received a phone call saying she was scouted by sm, after they saw her cover videos on youtube which she posted while she was younger. starship was quite happy for her to get scouted by sm and let her go.

How were your trainee days : at first she thought moving agency was a bad thing, because she wouldn't be able to have her bestfriend (crush) by her side and she won't be as happy as she was before, anymore. but after meeting sehun and the other exo members, she became as lively as when she was with seungcheol.
