personality: As one of the older members, Rena is naturally motherly towards everyone else, she'll always check to make sure they're in good health and that they had their fair share of food and drink. Because of this motherly streak in her personality, she'll often be found in the kitchen cooking for the other members or running around trying to make sure that they're all ready in time for the next schedule, if they aren't then they'll be the ones regretting it. Due to this side of her, Rena is also generally empathetic unless you catch her in a bad mood. She does her best to understand everything that the members are going through and if they want advice she'll be more than happy to try and help them out but she's also equally good at just listening to them and letting them know that she's always there. Rena can be really quiet, especially when she's in a bad mood. Most of the time, she'll sit back and listen to everyone else rather than getting involved herself, the way she see's it is that if she stays quiet, the others get more time to shine. That and she doesn't often have a lot to say.

Being laid-back isn't always a bad thing, it's normally a good thing in certain people and according to certain moods but for Rena it isn't really a good thing as she's an idol because she doesn't bother about her hair being completely perfect for a radio show or her clothes looking the best during a fansign. Despite always rushing the other members to be ready on time, Rena is normally the last to be completely ready and she'll have to finish while on the way to an event. This also leads to her being rather messy, if you were to enter her room you would find her bed completely covered in clothes and whatever else she decided to throw on there.

background: Born in Fukuoka, Rena was raised close to the beach and her parents often visited there with her while she was growing up which increased her love for the sun, sand and sea. While she was at school here, Rena was extremely popular and had boys confessing to her every other day, however she wasn't interested and would rather spend her time with her parents and beloved music. When she was seven, her father was offered a job in Osaka and the family moved away without a second thought, despite her protests. In an attempt to make her happy again, her father began teaching her Korean and various songs for her to play on the piano. After five years of not finding any happiness in Osaka, her parents proposed moving to Seoul, her father's hometown which Rena was more than happy to do as she didn't really enjoy living in Osaka and she didn't have any close friends that she would be leaving behind. So, at the age of twelve, Rena moved to Seoul with her parents and her interest in music increased as she became more interested in the music shows and industries. By the time she was getting ready to go to high school, she was accepted into Seoul's Arts High School for her musical talents and three years later graduated with almost top marks. Although she was interested in going to University afterwards, she was advised by her manager that it wasn't a good idea if she had any plans to debut in the future and life as a University student/trainee would be extremely difficult. Which left Rena heartbroken but she decided it was for the best, much to the disappointment of her parents.

▲ casual ) Rena is quite girly when she's casual, girly and chic as she likes to point out as she keeps up with the latest trends. Although, if you catch her in a really lazy mood you'll normally find her in a pair of jeans and an oversized shirt but usually she keeps it rather plain and sweet with a classy shirt and skirt. Despite dressing classy or chic, Rena doesn't often wear heels when she's being casual and would rather wear a pair of flats.
▲ formal ) When it comes to being formal, Rena barely ever gets a choice as the stylists often choose for her. However, when she does get to choose, she would rather wear something simple and flattering like a short black dress and a matching pair of heels if it's a big formal event but if it's just dinner with friends at a nice restaurant, she'll often wear a flattering skirt rather than a dress.

onscreen behaviour: When she's onscreen, Rena normally keeps quiet and lets the others talk rather than her unless she's asked a question directly or one of the other members makes a mistake, or starts to say something they shouldn't then she'll in and stop them speaking. If she's on her own on a show, she'll show her more outgoing side and she'll try to speak up more often. Rena's quietness onscreen sometimes leads people to believe that she's really 'cold'.
onstage behaviour: On stage, Rena's extremely outgoing and she completely changes who she is because it's her time to shine on the stage. It's hard to take the wide smile off of her face while she's performing.

how she got in: She auditioned three times before finally getting in after being encouraged to audition by one of her teachers. Rena also auditioned for sm once but she was rejected.
trainee life: Rena's trainee life was decent, it wasn't perfect and she struggled at times when it came to studying and training at the same time as it took up all of her time and she struggled to sleep enough, making her even sleepier when she was in class or in a singing lesson. She was friendly with a few of the other trainees but she knew she shouldn't get too close, afterall she was competing with them to debut but Rena couldn't help being nice and motherly towards everyone. In her first year as a trainee she struggled a lot but by the time it was her fourth year, she was considering just leaving the company and going to university like her parents wanted her to but one of the other trainees who became a member convinced her to stay.

personality: Suho's generally the perfect guy to most people, he's polite, considerate and relatively quiet. Whenever he's around everyone seems to be at peace and he manages to keep most of the other guys under control. From a young age, Suho was taught that manners is the way to a womans heart, he'll always open doors for any girl and he'll constantly check that they are alright, that everything is perfect for them if they're on some sort of date. What makes him even better is his charming smile and sense of humor, it's hard to catch this guy without a big smile across his face or not making some sort of quiet remark in the background. Around the people that he's closest to, Suho can be a totally different guy and he'll mess around with them, join in pulling pranks and making all sorts of jokes. Sometimes, Suho's quietness can get him into some bother if he doesn't answer a certain question or he spends too much time thinking about something, it can cause some upset and misunderstanding even though he never intended on it as he's naturally quiet. Luckily for his family, Suho is also rather intelligent and throughout his schooling he was always one of the top in his grades, although this can be bothersome for those close to him when he corrects them every so often.

Jinyoung is the complete opposite to Rena. He's loud, outgoing and sometimes he can be pretty full of himself or as s like to say, he catches the 'prince disease'. As the leader of the group, Jinyoung tries extra hard to impress his fans which can lead to him being louder than usual and making a complete fool of himself, which he later regrets. As well as being outgoing, Jinyoung is a creative person, he's all about music and if you really want to find him then you're more likely to find him in the recording studio or in his room composing yet another song. His creativeness doesn't stop there however, like Rena he is a big fan of cooking and see's this as one of his many charms. Jinyoung is a natural leader and he's always worrying about s or those around him, he's a really caring person deep down behind all of the self-love. He can be very lively and unlike some other leaders, he'll be the one bouncing around the dorm or creating a big fuss on one of the tv shows.

story: Suho and Rena met briefly before she was informed about the jyp-sm joint group and that she would be training on and off at the sm building. They first met through one of the other trainees that Rena was friendly with as this trainee had a massive interest in Suho and had known him from their high school years. It wasn't until Rena first arrived in the sm building that they really began to talk as she was extremely quiet and Suho decided he would try to include her with the other trainees around. Within a matter of weeks they had exchanged numbers and became good friends, from then on he continued to speak to her about everything although he found it hard due to his debut. When Exo did finally debut, Rena was there for the first show to support her friend.

Jinyoung met Rena while they were both supporting friends backstage at a concert, Jinyoung himself was preparing to perform when he bumped into Rena and they exchanged greetings. This happened a few times as they both knew the same people and often went along to support their friends. They never really got to speaking a lot, only a brief exchange of hellos and their names despite both wanting to start a long conversation with one another.
