Background:
Hanbyul grew up differently unlike the other children. She was sickly as a child. During all those times, her parents didn't allow her to play and have fun outside like the other children. She was stuck inside their home, playing with her stuffed toys, or reading books. Even in school. she wasn't allowed to stay in school after class to have fun with her other classmates, instead, she was fetched right away by their family driver, and her nanny. This became the reason, why her classmates stopped talking to her. Since they don't have much time interacting with her, to know her better, they stayed away from her. At first, it was hard for Hanbyul, she would cry somewhere, where kids don't usually go, or just stayed in school's CR instead of going to class. She gets intimidated when she sees other students like her, happy with their friends. But not everyone stayed away from her. There was this one boy, pretty older than her, who tried talking to her. This boy, that looks like he's 10 years old already, while Hanbyul is just 5 years old. He started talking to her, getting to know her fully, played with her, and kept her company. Pretty much like how an oppa would take care of his dongsaeng. Since then, Hanbyul didn't feel alone anymore, as long as her friend oppa is by her side, everything seems fine. She would invite her in their home to play with her, and the boy would gladly accept it. Her parents are thankful for this boy also, to keep Hanbyul company, and made her normal again. She's playing again, she smiles again, she eats again, and she doesn't feel lonely anymore.
Everything was going on so well, not until Hanbyul has to go and stay abroad for her medication. She has to stay until she graduated high school, and won't go back, not unless her parents know that she's fully well. She was 10 at that time, 5 years after she and her Hongki oppa became the best of friends. It was pretty hard for Hongki to see her leaving, specially for Hanbyul, since she knows, that she's going to a different place, a place where everything is new to her, and a place where there is no Hongki oppa.
8 years has passed, when they went back to Korea. Hanbyul has finished high school, and is fully well already. Yes she's fully well, but her parents still treats her as fragile as before. They can't even approve Hanbyul's wish of taking Music in college. Of course she's excited to meet her Hongki oppa, ready to confess to him, but when she knew him having a relationship with another girl, that's when she started changing. From the sweet girl, to the wild one. From being fragile, to acting strong and doesn't care at anything bad happening to her. She changed, totally. She wanted him to know that she's not the little Hanbyul that he used to take care before. She's all grown up now and doesn't need him. As much as she wanted to tell him, that she likes him, she can't, that's why she acted like she never cared, and that if ever Hongki needs something, she's just there, ready to help him anytime.
