So, where to even begin?

When I first started writing on aff I was 15 and it was basically a platform for me to release all of my stress and step into an alternate universe that I could create with my own imagination. Writing has always been a very accessible outlet for me and it’s always been a part of my life but it didn’t really become a passion until I reached high school. Since then, aff has fostered all the ideas that I rarely think to write in school or professionally and it’s seen me grow as a writer.

Of course, I still have a lot of room for improvement and I will continue to work hard to pursue a writing style of my own but the point is, I’ve never imagined myself to get a lot of readers.

From the very beginning, aff was already such a gift to me for being a blank canvas that I could use to spread my own imagination. I told myself that one reader or one hundred readers – there was no difference because if someone was reading my writing then I would continue to do it and to the best of my efforts. Yet, if I said that I don’t feel more encouraged by more subbies, I’d be a big, fat liar.

Honestly, this whole advertising surprise that Mina has given me is just too strange because I really didn’t even dare to think beyond two hundred subscribers. (I’m a little hermit who’s so easy to please, right?) I can barely believe that this is real and I was afraid to write this post last night because I was like 'what if I go to bed and when I wake up, it's all just a dream?’ Now, wouldn't that be awkward? :L Lol. You're all probably laughing at me but it's a pretty typical thing for me to do because I'm super clueless and a massive clutz.

But obviously, I’m writing this post now so… It’s evidently not just a dream and I should stop rambling because the point of this post is to say…

Thank you, Mina

I am aware that most of you know who Mina is and if you don’t you’re probably all familiar with the work of a certain ‘primrosing’. Now, Mina is a jack of her trade, so to speak and she’s just a wonderful writer with such a creative and daring imagination. I met her through aff and it was this exact fic where we got to know each other and I can honestly say that it has just been such a wonderful experience.

I hope that we can all take a moment to acknowledge the fact that Mina actually surprised me with the advertisement because she’s a generous and beautiful person. She never told me anything beforehand and it was really just such a sweet thing to do for someone you don’t even know in person! T.T God bless her soul and it is thanks to her that I have met all of you (cheers and throws confetti and dances around like a mad woman) so let’s all thank her together (bows).

Now, other than having to thank Mina, I also want to thank all of you for showing this story so much love. You’ve all been so forgiving of the timing of my posts and the flaws that still exist in my writing. So, thank you.

To all my readers before the advertisement, I promise you that I will continue to stay humble, to continue to work hard and to never change in any way that hurts any of you despite the change in the number of subscribers. I feel like I have to say even though you might not think it’s a big deal but do you guys realise that I am nearly writing for eight hundred people and this is just freaking insane to me! It's a pretty big deal for this little hermit. hehe ^____^

To all my new readers, I welcome you aboard and hope that you enjoy this journey with me. I hope that we can get to know each other and I also promise that I will continue to stay grounded and will work hard to create a story that we can all enjoy. Don’t be afraid to leave your thoughts or any constructive criticism behind. If you find it hard to comment about the story, ask me any questions you have and we can just spazz about exo or any other kpop groups together! hehe. 

I will continue to try my best to reply to all your wonderful comments (plz just keep in mind that it will definitely take me longer to get to all of you).
