YG's WHO IS NEXT?

As part of ACES, I am very very very happy that Team A will be debuting soon. Like I've said in my tweets, I am 100% happy about the result of the survival program. Thing is, I am 100% sad too... I love my #OTP11 like that.

Seriously, and I mean it with all my fangirl heart - I love those 11 boys wholeheartedly! Of course, I have my bias(es) in the  person of Jinwoo & Mino but to be honest, I love those 9 other boys just as much too. [In Bigbang, I always say that my bias(es) is Seungri and GD but I really love and support Taeyang, Dae and TOP in the same way I do with the other two...] What I'm saying is, it's really hard to pick biases because they are all awesome and great and everything fantastic.

Anyway, I really hate how people bring the other team down just to lift the other up. Yes, some fans of Team A bash Team B and vice versa... but I think that's inevitable so I don't mind. After all, its always just a matter of PERSONAL PREFERENCE. What you like is not always going to be the same with others. So just state your opinion and DO NOT PUSH IT DOWN PEOPLE'S THROAT. There isn't a need to say that the other is better like its a fact... because it is, and will always be, JUST AN OPINION.

That said, let me state mine.  I don't know about musical genres so I try to describe it as to how it makes me feel:

I preferred to support Team A because their musical style is to my liking. I like how their songs are mellow and only a little upbeat with the raps... Their songs are the kind I could listen to on the loop...

I like watching Team B too because of the energy and overall atmosphere they create when onstage. I'm not a fan of hiphop and heavy raps but whenever it's Team B performing, I could listen to it.. Unlike Team A's songs, I wouldn't put Team B's songs on repeat, but it'll definitely be in my playlist and everytime I get to listen to it, I would bob my head up & down, following its beat - following its rhythm.

Officially Missing You - I loved how OMY was changed into a different concept from missing a lover to missing a part of you from the past. I thought it was very beautiful and touching. It really was their story... and OMG with their harmony... especially the last chorus [beginning with Taehyun's high pitch "Ooohhh~" scream(?)]

Smile Again -  I love the song and I love so much the RAP parts in this song... It was a very fun song and (Jinwoo was so cute dancing to the chorus.❤️) It was a feel-good song.

Winnin' - As expected, it was an energy boosting song. Something fun that would get you off your feet and jump to the dance floor. Not really my kind of song but really good to listen to.

Just Another Boy (A) - This is Team A with a pinch of Team B's flavor (if you get what I mean). I could totally picture Team B performing this song version too (with B.I. singing the chorus...) and I could see a more crazy dance from Bobby, if ever... I like Team A's version more because (Again, Jinwoo was so cute dancing to the chorus while biting his lips.❤️) but really, the song... it sticks to your head almost immediately when you hear it. "Michigesseo" (you sang that right?)

Just Another Boy (B) - 2 words: CUTENESS OVERLOAD. I love this song for Team B... it's totally them...and I finally saw them as 16,17,18 year old boys again! I seriously want to just put them in my pocket!!! Sooo cute! Hmmm... So, this time, it's Team B with a pinch of Team A flavor. I think it's "Teddy Magic" doing the works here. His track brought out the other team in the other team (you feel me?)  All the heaviness in their singing style was not evident here. Even Bobby's rap which comes to me as "heavy and rough" - was totally light and carefree in this song  (even with his natural husky voice). This was fun. They were great and I love how, IN MY EYES, YoonHyeong and JoonHoe, shined the brightest with their vocals. Most of all - Deabak Dance! ^_^

Go Up & - Okay, both songs are soooo good! It's like they've all put their everything in it - their thoughts, feelings and emotions.

Team A gave it to us in a fun, ENCOURAGING way (it made me want to work hard too and join them on top - that kind of feel). Also, there is still that Team A thing where they are telling us a personal story first hand - how they wanted to reach for their dreams and be on top together. Team A is great with stuff like this... because they easily connect with you and tug your heartstrings...

On the other hand, Team B handed it in a more INTIMATE, personal, and touching way... It's like pouring out and opening up to us - listeners of their song. Joonhoe and Jinhwan with their vocals stood out - Joonhoe especially during the last part when he sang "Even if this would be the last, I will sing without regret" - I mean, how much more emotion can he put to that? I wanna hug him that instant! He delivered it beautifully.

Now, B.I with his spotlight rapping solo. I didn't really like it that much although the lyrics are so heartfelt and real and full of emotions. Don't get me wrong, I love this song the most among all Team B songs... (Actually tied in 1st place with their version of JAB)... I just thought the song would still do well without it being highlighted like that... I don't know... it seemed an important part of the song as a whole but I felt it didn't need to be put on spotlight like that... I mean, Bobby's rap was memorable even when not put on the spotlight. I must say though, B.I's words made me cry... I don't know anything about rap but B.I. seemed breaking down when doing his part. I don't know if he was still rapping... I wanted to just take him and make him cry to my shoulders... This song showed me, once again how both teams are as deserving as the other to win... I mean really, both teams are so debut-worthy...and I believe in my heart that even with Team A winning, it won't be long 'till we meet Team B once again.

Plus:

DANCE: Please Don't Stop the Music - I can't help but write how much I adore SeungHoon for the choreography of this song. I am a dancer myself and doing the type of contemporary dance they did is really hard because you have to act as well. You need to be aware of you facial expression while not losing track on the technique and precision in execution of the choreography. SeungHoon is a genius. I can see that. It was a brilliant dance.
