I am so confused... (aka: Guy Problems)
Now it's time to rant about my love life! Yay! (Not really.)
Well, I'm in need of some advice. I've been thinking about this a lot lately and my conclusion is "guys are so confusing." Now for the long story...
Here's what's going on: I am currently a freshman in college and one weekend, I went back home (It's only an hour drive) to go to the first home football game for the high school, you know, to show support for my previous school. I found some old friends and started hanging around them. I had lots of fun hanging out with them again.
A couple of weeks later, I went back home again with the intent of taking my parents out to dinner but then realized that there was another home game. It was an added bonus. After dinner with my parents, I went to the game and found some of my friends (not everyone that was there the previous time). I was talking to this one guy (I'll call him Guy-1) a little more than the last time I was there.
When I came back to the dorm, I added him on Facebook and that's when we started talking. After a few days, he tell me he likes me. I was a little iffy at first, but I kind of sort of did like him a little bit. So I told him I liked him too. (This was probably my first mistake.)
This past weekend was my hometown's homecoming and I was asked to the dance by Guy-1. I said yes with the main intent of just going to the dance... not really with him though. While at the game, we were with our friends and all... but this is where I heard something I never really knew. He must have told them that I was his girlfriend. I. Had. No. Freaking. Idea. I didn't even know I was concidered his girlfriend since he never asked me to be his girlfriend. Being the nice person I am, I tried to give him a small chance but he didn't go for it.
But then there's this other guy, (I'll call him Guy-2). I felt like I was hanging out more with Guy-2 at the game than Guy-1. After the game was the dance...
(Don't worry, I was allowed because I filled out the form before hand.)
I am a dancer, as some of you already know, so I love to dance. Once the dance got underway, I was having so much fun. When a country song started playing, Guy-2 and I started two-stepping. Towards the end of the song, he led me to Guy-1 and wanted him to dance with me. He didn't know how to. I tried teaching him, but he couldn't get it and I got frustrated and stopped dancing with him.
Honestly, it felt so awkward dancing with Guy-1 and dancing is a make-or-break thing with me. Although with Guy-2, he can dance... and he's pretty good. I really enjoyed danicng with him. I think we just meshed so well together. Durring the dance, I happen to notice Guy-1 and Guy-2 talking about something. I didn't really feel suspicious until about two songs later (this is a slow song, by the way) when Guy-2 came up to me, grabbed my hands, led me to the dance floor, and danced with me. All while in front of Guy-1.
I had a lot of fun at the dance... but not with Guy-1.
The next day, I had to go back home because it was my college's homecoming. While I had some time to kill after I did my make up for the dance team, I really didn't want to talk to him but I asked Guy-1 what he was talking to Guy-2 about. He told me it was nothing to worry about. This is where I started to get frustrated. Then I asked him how he felt about Guy-2 and me dancing. Wanna know what he said? He said "He's my bro, he would never do anything funny." I call bull on that.
I don't know what to do about that. I was getting more and more frustrated. One thing that really scares me about this is the fact that he told me he loves me. I am not joking. I've only known him for like a month and he's already telling me this. (This is Guy-1 by the way). I've already figured out where I stand with him but I'm really confused as to what to do with him. I'm pretty sure he saw me having more fun with Guy-2 at the game and the dance that night, but he's not telling me anything!
I don't know what to do about this. I really hate being blunt and end up possibly shattering his heart into pieces. Hints are obviously not working to my advantage.
Any help on what to do?
