Character Overview : Jooyoon is that jock girl that seems too much like those jock s you see in American High School shows. She is the super athletic girl that you find is seen in the yearbook way too often. She’s on every sport’s team and participates in ever sports’ event. She loves athletics and has spent her whole life being the active girl between her and her sister. Now, don’t misread things, she’s a jock doesn’t mean she’s a tomboy.
Jooyoon like almost any other girl loves shopping, not only for sports equipment either, for legit clothes people! She may seem like a boyish girl, which she is, but outside of sports, she’s a girl. She isn’t a girly girl, but she doesn’t dress in masculine clothes all the time like many would assume, and she doesn’t spend her time on only sports, which is also an assumption. She likes girl groups and boy bands like any other person and really, she finds it annoying when people think she’s some sort of man-woman.
She’s really fun-loving and energetic. There’s never a time when she’s in a sad mood, well none that she can recall. She gets angry extremely easily and is extremely competitive. She spent her whole life a winner and she knows that she will win. She isn’t however, the type to gloat or brag about her successes. The littlest things set her off which tends to land her into a lot of trouble. In a sense, if it weren’t for sports, she would have gotten into a lot of trouble. She stays out of trouble so that she can stay on her sports teams.
Education wise, she isn’t the brightest. Her grades are borderline pass, just enough to keep her in sports, but she’s in danger of being kicked off, if it weren’t for her talent in sports, they’d kick her off. She can make amazing plays, but she never seems to get it that you can apply those skills to your classes like math. She is the opposite of her sister who is studious with many achievements educationally. She’s quite multi-talented, like in music she can play several instruments without fail, but again, she’s just not the smartest girl.
She loves to go out and party and is the life of a party, no matter what it is, she’s tried it, except drugs and cigarettes because that would affect her sports. She loves to go clubbing with her fake ID, which she keeps hidden or else she’d get in trouble with coaches. Her night life is somewhat of a danger to her sports because she isn’t a good girl. She is kind of mean. It’s not like she wants to be mean, it’s just she’s so blunt and doesn’t think things over before saying them, so she hurts people’s feelings a lot and doesn’t realize it.
She is very goofy and erted. She loves to make lame jokes and erted jokes because that’s the way she is. She generally isn’t too focused in class and is the class clown who makes snarky remarks to teachers. Like said earlier, she’s that jock you see on TV who seems like a total douche bag. But you can’t judge her without actually getting to know her. If you just look at her daily behaviour, you’d interpret her as some airhead jock when really she’s an overprotective sister who’s just not that aware of others.
If someone was flirting with her, she wouldn’t have a clue. She would kinda just talk back really normally. She isn’t interested in dating because that takes up too much time for her. Sure she thinks some guys and girls are cute, but she just doesn’t see a point in dating when you’re as busy as she is with sports and partying.

Parents : Ryder Prince, 35, mother, alive– Ryder is a world famous model with more brains than she has meat. She always wanted to take over her father’s business which was rightfully hers because she was the eldest of her 3 siblings. Unfortunately, she was pregnant with Jooyoon/Diamond and had to drop out of her post-secondary studies. Being blessed with beautiful looks, she easily became a model. So what does this have to do with Jooyoon? Ryder spent the first year and a half raising her until she realized that she couldn’t do it and sent her to her father’s. Ryder has neglected Jooyoon since the day of her abandonment Jooyoon believes that if she does well in sports and becomes just as well-known as Ryder, her mother will acknowledge her and love her like her step-mom does. Ryder hasn’t kept in contact with Jooyoon and Jooyoon believes that her and her mother would love each other greatly if they got to meet one another. Jooyoon continues to put her name as Diamond although she is called Jooyoon, no one knows why, but the close ones know that she has it legally under Diamond so that her mother will find her.
Seo Yongwon, 38, father, alive– Yongwon rarely paid any attention to Jooyoon since he had Joohyun to take care of. He loved his daughter Joohyun unconditionally and spent his days in the baby room with her, teaching her words, playing with her and educating her. So, what happened to Jooyoon? Jooyoon was taken care of with the standard care. No one really played with her, and she was left with just the television to keep her company. Yongwon didn’t pay much attention to Joohyun and still doesn’t. He can only admire his younger daughter, Joohyun’s achievements in academics and only somewhat notices Jooyoon when she is well accomplished in sports. Other than that, her night life, her grades, her appearance, everything about her isn’t worth his time. Of course, Jooyoon seeks that care that she never got from him by continuing to over work herself athletically, but you can’t help the way she looks because that’s her. He made sure that Ryder never got a hold of Jooyoon because he didn’t want her to ruin his family or take away Jooyoon’s attention from sports. The only thing about Jooyoon that he loves is how much everyone else compliments him for having such an athletically gifted child.
Seo Hanbyul, 37, step-mother, alive– Hanbyul was the one who cared for Jooyoon and even gave her a Korean name. She looked after her but could never really provide the care that she did towards Joohyun. She always sat there to talk to her as she grew up though, since she knew that she didn’t have anyone else. Jooyoon loves Hanbyul very much, and that doesn’t change the fact that she wants to capture her parents’ eyes, but it did help that she had someone to love her.
Siblings : Seo Joohyun / Seohyun, Sophmore 15-16, half-sister, alive – After reading about how well she is with her parents, you’d think that Jooyoon hated Joohyun. That in fact is not the case. Jooyoon loves Joohyun infinitely and does envy her since Joohyun is smart, beautiful, likeable, pure, innocent, and a lot of things that Jooyoon isn’t. Jooyoon looks after Joohyun though and even gave her the nickname Seohyun since Joohyun and Jooyoon were often mixed up when people called them. Jooyoon is in fact overprotective of Seohyun and is extremely violent towards anyone who tries to hit on her, hurts her, makes her uncomfortable, bothers her even the slightest bit, and it doesn’t matter if it’s her best friend or her worst enemy, she will hurt them severely if they bother Seohyun.
Relatives : Sonny Prince, 35, uncle, alive – Sonny is Ryder’s twin brother and Jooyoon’s uncle. He is of the few relatives that actually cares for Jooyoon and was almost like a father-figure to her who mailed her magazines with her mother in it. Sonny took over the company rather than Ryder and Jooyoon wrote to her uncle every week. The two of them write to each other like pen pals, updating their life situations. Jooyoon hopes to one day meet her uncle Sonny in person. He calls her by her English name Diamond, which makes them closer because only a select few know how precious the name Diamond is to her.
Sammy Prince, 34, aunt, alive – Sammy always made fun of Ryder and looked down on her for being a teen mom. She never acknowledged her older sister as anything more than a pretty face, which obviously infuriated Jooyoon. She once visited Jooyoon and told her to stop contacting the family because she was a burden just like her mother. Out of everyone in her family, Jooyoon hates her aunt Sammy the most.
Landen Prince, 31, uncle, deceased – Landen was originally one of the few who wrote to Jooyoon. He calls her Shiner because her name is Diamond which is where her nickname Shiner derived from. He was sick with cancer and his donor was in Korea, he told Sonny to mail Jooyoon to come meet with him. All of Jooyoon’s background knowledge of her short time with her mother and her short time in England came from Landen. He died after his body rejected the transplant when he got back to England. Jooyoon didn’t eat or do anything but exercise nonstop for weeks while she grieved for him, but Seohyun was the one who helped her get back on her feet.

Actual Background : Jooyoon was born in Manchester which evidently lead her to soccer. She was too young to understand, but whenever she could, her mother would take her out in her stroller to stroll around the big sports’ stadiums. Jooyoon’s mother, Ryder, named her Diamond to signify that she would always shine in her life. Ryder wanted to inherit the company and prepared her whole life to, but she couldn’t since she was forced to drop out of her post-secondary studies to raise Jooyoon. Sooner or later, she gave up and gave her daughter to Seo Yongwon, the baby daddy. She always did try to stay in contact though, but Yongwon didn’t want her to.
Jooyoon grew up with minimal love from her father and mother. Her mother’s lack of love was obviously because she wasn’t there, but her father was just too busy with his youngest child, Seo Joohyun. Jooyoon was taken care of by her step-mom Seo Hanbyul who took the time to listen to her and remind Yongwon of all the sports events. Jooyoon didn’t grow up miserably, but she grew up with the need to be loved.
Jooyoon kept in touch with her uncles in England, but her only aunt, Sammy Prince disliked her and called her a burden. Sammy visited Korea because of her brother Landen, Jooyoon’s uncle, whose donor was in Korea. Sammy noticed how much Jooyoon visited and finally on the last day told her to leave the Prince family alone. Sammy was always jealous of her older sister Ryder and saw Jooyoon as a spitting image of her. Jooyoon was devastated when Landen died. She always loved her uncles although she never met Uncle Sonny.
Jooyoon was never a smart student since no one was there to help her with her studies, not even her precious sister Seohyun who was always busy with studies. She didn’t care though; all she wanted to do was sports. Jooyoon grew up with the idea that her mother would come to find her and take her away if she was good enough at sports and capture her attention.
The ‘Seo’s were a considerably wealthy family so Jooyoon got all the clothes and sports things she wanted. She loved money because it got her all that she has. Her father only ever hit her after he found out about her tattoos. She was put out on the streets for looking like a street child, which led her to first experience as a poor person. Her step-mom went on a search for her with Seohyun and brought her home after quite a few days. She was found at the school track field, which wasn’t too surprising and they wondered why they didn’t search there first. After that, Jooyoon learned to appreciate money more.
Overall, Jooyoon only has one goal, and that is to gain the love and respect she wants from her biological parents.

Appearance : She’s a fairly pretty girl and most people say it’s because she’s of mixed race. She has very long dark brown hair and dark eyes that are often mistaken to be black with lightly tanned skin. She has a clear smooth complexion and has a fresh face thanks to her big eyes. She has an eye smile and a rack of perfect white teeth. Sounds really pretty doesn’t she? No one’s perfect and her imperfections lie in her everywhere other than her face. She doesn’t have large s or lots of curves, she perspires easily and she has short eyelashes. She tends to wear mascara, the only make up she has time to wear in the mornings. She only really wears eye makeup and that’s only for clubbing and parties. She has long toned limbs and a flat stomach with a beautiful set of abs (not ones that stick out, but you know it’s there cause girls who have abs that protrude their skin is gross). She may not have curves and s but she has a perky and she’s really fit, that should make up for it, right?

She wears the nicest brands but doesn’t choose her clothes by brand. She buys what she thinks looks nice.
Her formal wear is somewhat of a girlier look. She likes short dresses that show off her well-earned legs and high heeled ankle boots to accent the length. She always wears a tiara and she always has some sort of bag with her. She loves to coordinate the colours and accessories to match the look.
Clubbing, she’ll always dress in short shorts and miniskirts with her high hell ankle boots. She’ll always have a neck, wrist and finger accessory on and she has a purse with her all the time. She usually wears a tight tank top or a crop top and if she’s lazy, she’ll just throw on a short casual dress.
At home or at the gym/training, she likes to wear as little as possible since she feels most comfortable in her birthday suit. She hates wearing bras. So she tries to avoid that as much as possible which means the bra comes off when she trains or is just at home. She usually just leaves her hair down but at home or when she’s training, she puts it up in a messy bun. At home since she wears minimal, she’s found with a blanket and slippers to keep warm. For training she wears a sports bra and short shorts. She wears sneakers and they’re hightops, perhaps it’s because she likes security around her ankles. How you met : 1. Jooyoon met Joon they were in Elementary school on the first day. Jooyoon just entered and Joon was a new student. The two of them easily became friends for their similar interests. They were young and naïve children. Even now when they’re older, they still are best friends but some things changed like the way they act towards each other.
2. Jonghyun came in Middle School where the two of them started off as enemies because Jonghyun told her she couldn’t play sports with him and the guys because she was a girl. She proved him wrong and embarrassed him in front of everyone. When they started High School though, their bullying became a lot more intimate.
3. Jooyoon never believed in Changmin’s character, not since he harassed Seohyun. She made sure he stayed away but in turn got caught in his web of torment. Changmin had secret es that no one seemed to notice unless they were so foolish as to fall for his appearance and charms. Unfortunately for Jooyoon, she didn’t have to fall for him to become his victim.
First impression : 1. They immediately became friends since both of them got lost. Jooyoon thought of Joon as someone reliable and on top of that he was cute. Yeah, even as a kid, she had standards for guys’ looks. Anyways, they immediately clicked. Yeah, they’re JoonYoon xD
2. Jooyoon hated Jonghyun. Their first impression was rocky.
3. At first, Jooyoon thought he was alright, but then he harassed Seohyun and she hated him.
Their personality : 1. Joon is a really athletic guy. He is good looking, athletic, talented in music, and seems like the perfect guy at first glance. What many people don’t know is he’s not smart. He is probably one of the least smart people you’d know; he’s just as unintelligent as Jooyoon. He and Jooyoon became friends immediately and have an unbreakable bond. He treats Jooyoon with care and love but also kind of like she’s a guy, so he hits her lightly sometimes when they joke around and he knows not to go easy on her in sports. He likes Jooyoon but he is confused in what way he does since they’ve been friends for so long.
2. Jonghyun is an arrogant, and deceivingly smart playboy. He doesn’t seem like a smart guy, but he’s actually extremely smart with a singing voice that could make any girl weak to the knees. He loves girls and has probably slept with more girls than he can count. He didn’t like how Jooyoon wanted to always play with the boys, but soon realized that she could beat him easily. He was embarrassed by her and from then on, they bullied each other. As High School started, the way he treated her became different. He treated her like he would treat the other girls only with more force. He and her would tease each other, arouse the other party and leave them hanging. It was quite annoying actually, but they love torturing each other.
3. Changmin looks like a kind, welcoming, good looking, charming fellow…until you get to know him. He is actually both a sadist and a masochist and lures girls in with his charm. He can easily convince the girls that they like it and it doesn’t matter if he got caught being and SM because he is so popular. He somewhat enjoys Jooyoon but only for his sick twisted pleasure. His first impression of her was that she was really manly, but then something aroused him when she punched him across the face for bothering her sister. After that, he would find her during her night life clubbing time and do the unspeakable.

Why you hate them : Hara always bullied Seohyun and treated her poorly, trying to peer pressure her into things she didn’t want to do. Although Seohyun didn’t do anything about it, Jooyoon humiliated Hara in front of everyone which caused Hara to lose her boyfriend, Junhyung, too. Hara continued to bully Seohyun and Jooyoon continued to have to ‘talk’ to her.
UEE just tries to beat Jooyoon in everything, mainly stealing Joon away. She knows for a fact that Jooyoon and Joon are best friends and that they’re just starting to develop feelings for each other so she steps in. UEE always puts Jooyoon down for not being smart and does her best to get Jooyoon kicked off her sports teams. They often get into fights and it’s always Joon in the end that has to throw Jooyoon onto his shoulder and pull her away before she really hurts UEE. UEE is a cheerleader so she and Jooyoon see each other quite often…unfortunately.

Best friend(s) : Kim Taeyeon – Taeyeon is her female best friend. Taeyeon is in all of the music programs and is very popular amongst everyone. She is dorky, ahjumma like and is a born leader. She has a singing voice that calls the Angels from the Heavens [how the Bible Studies teacher described it]. She is the girl who is on good terms with everyone. Except, she is motherly and particularly caring about her girls [SNSD] and Jooyoon.
Park Sanghyun/Thunder – Thunder is the Drama teacher’s brother. He is kind of quiet and really a nice guy. He is that guy that gets a lot of attention from girls because they like to for being cute. He is an amazing listener and doesn’t hold back when he wants to do something. He is courteous and polite, a real model student. He has moderate grades and is mainly in because of his sister Sandara.
Choi Siwon – Despite the fact that she’s an atheist, she gets along with the Religious Studies teacher fairly well. Siwon is a very good looking teacher and everyone, staff & students agree. He is someone who you can confide in and he’s always open to give a helping hand. A lot of rumours go around about how he isn’t so pure as he should be and enjoys to engage in teacher student relationships.
How you became best friends: 1. Taeyeon and Jooyoon were friends because Taeyeon is one of Seohyun’s best friends. The two of them immediately bonded because Taeyeon and her did a music assignment together.
2. Thunder and Jooyoon became best friends because of Joon being Jooyoon’s best friend. They immediately became friends because they had so many classes together. Joon is often jealous and Thunder, who knows…doesn’t really care anymore.
3. Siwon would always have to keep Jooyoon awake, and finally had to resort in detention. It was just the two of them and Jooyoon was pulling jokes and one thing led to another. No, not , they started telling the truth. Siwon is the only Korean adult other than Hanbyul [step-mom] who knows about Jooyoon’s dreams.
Other relationships : Ex-crushes – Jay Park [2PM], Park Jungmin [SS501], Kim Hyunjoong [SS501], Park Leeteuk [Super Junior]. Truthfully, there isn’t much to explain here about each of them because she only liked them for their bodies.
Really the only exception is Jay Park.
Jay, the English teacher, had tattoos, muscle and seemed pretty much perfect appearance wise. She liked him for his looks and the fact that he is in fact a really cool guy.

Wooyoung and Jooyoon were friends for a long time but realized that they just didn't like each other any more than as a friend after trying the whole dating thing.
Kikwang liked Jooyoon and asked her out...but really, they had a bit in common like hitting the gym, but other than that they only really had enough to keep up a conversation for a bit...so they stayed friends.
