she was borned in seoul on 17 may, 1995. after she was borned, her parents decided to migrate over to melbourne, australia as her dad was offered a lecturer position there in a university and also, it would be a great environment for jayeon to learn to be both bilingual in korean and the english language. for 12 years of her life, it was all spend in australia. only after jayeon graduated from elementary school, she returned to korea and continued her education from middle school in an international school. her parents only decided to return back to seoul so that jayeon could get to know more about her birthplace, though that australia may be her hometown. jayeon also has another name, her english name used in australia, jayleigh, given by her younger brother, who is jang jaehyuk.

in school, she's a really competitive girl, both in studies and club. she hates losing others. she hates being last, or almost the last. this makes her a really determined girl that wants to do well in everything. a perfectionist in that case. she tries her best and puts in the best effort in everything she does. the negative thing is that jayeon is very self-critical. she critisizes herself often. when she makes a small mistakes, she gets really frustrated. oh well, she easily annoyed and frustrated by herself. she hates it when she makes mistakes too because she does not usually make much.
she's a meticulous and independent girl ever since she was borned. she does things herself and do it really carefully, afraid to make a mistake. she would rather figures things out herself than asking for help as she thinks its really embarrassing to do so. she would always check her work again before handing it to the teacher. she's really detailed in her tasks.
