Choreographer J Blaze vs YG Entertainment
So this choreographer known as J Blaze wants an explanation from YG Entertainment regarding the use of his moves and choreography. He posted on Twitter:
"Hello @ygent_official. Im JBlaze and IM PISSED !!! THE IS THIS ???!!!!"
"How disrespectful !! YG, J BLAZE NEEDS TO TALK TO YOU!!! "
"IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO GET IN CONTACT WITH THEM, TWITTERS, EMAILS, ETC, LET ME KNOW! WHERES MY CHECK!! "
"YG TEAM B, J BLAZE IS LOOKING FOR YOU !!!! I NEED A CHECK !!!!"
I'm on the choreographer's side with this one, no matter how much of a YG stan I am. I mean all YG needed to do was ask him and credit him in the credits. Some people are defending YG and saying that they did credit him but Koreans are saying that he was not credited and credit was not given at the end. Maybe the Youtube video got cut off too soon and only Koreans were able to see the credits? I don't know! Some are also saying that it's just a dance cover and J Blaze shouldn't have taken it so personally but there's a difference between uploading it personally on Youtube as a cover by an amateur and having it air on national television by an actual company/corporation. Going off of EatYourKimchi's video on Korea's problem with plagiarism, I can see why YG didn't see this as a big issue. They probably learned the choreography for simple evaluation purposes but since it was aired on TV, YG still should have credited the guy.
People keep saying that he DID credit, but I don't see a single snapshot of the actual credits.
What do you guys think?
