I think one of the things I dread seeing on this site or any writing site is when an author quits their story or deactivates their account. It makes me feel so sad to see this. I know everyone has their reasons, but I wish that no one had a reason to deactivate or stop a story for any reason at all. Whether it is “bashing”, illness, family matters, lack of inspiration, loss of interest, or lack of motivation, it is simply saddening to see this. I feel like when someone does this, it’s like they’re quitting something that meant something to them. It breaks my heart to see authors deactivating. I recently found this wonderful story, and simply put, I fell in love. But for reasons unknown, the author has deactivated, and it just breaks my heart to see quality writing disappear. I don’t know the reason or anything, but I just wanted to address this because I know there are more out there. I just wanted to say that you shouldn’t ever give up on writing. If you get hateful responses, everyone is a critic. Maybe someone won’t like your work, but maybe another person will. So don’t quit, because it’s a depressing thought to know that someone has quit something that they love!
