Dear Beauty Diary,

For these past few years, I've been hearing tons about this new brand: My Beauty Diary. People have been raving about its masks. I've checked the brand out on some online stores, and, to be honest, the masks aren't that pricey. Compared to lots of other brands, such as The Face Shop, the costs are very reasonable! For The Face Shop masks, each set (about 10 sheets) can run from 12 to 25 USD. Skinfood masks can go from 18 to 38 USD. However, most Beauty Diary masks cost no more than 14 USD. On Sasa, the masks are a bit more pricey than ones on other sites; they cost about $13.60, at most, to $11.40. On Yesstyle, most of their masks cost about $12. Not only are these masks at a reasonable price, the variety is absolutely wonderful. Their masks, each one targeted specifically for a different kind of skin concern, are amazing. There are masks for oily skin, dry skin, acne-prone skin, dull skin, etc. No matter what kind of mask you're looking for, My Beauty Diary has it!

Since everyone's been going crazy over the masks, I also decided to give the brand a shot, or rather, an opportunity to try the brand came to me. I've always been wanting to try out the masks for a long ; however, I always either forgot to buy some or I just happened to be broke at the chance of buying one. Luckily, my wonderful friend, who just came back from Hong Kong, bought me some from a Sasa store. I think it's a bit more expensive to buy it in the store (???). I have no idea why, but my friend bought me 3 sheets for 30 bucks! Geez, that's reallly expensive. (Maybe they misprinted the price--online, a single sheet only sells for $1.50) Anyway, I was given the opportunity to try the masks out without having to spend a buck (gotta love my friend <3), and I was really excited. She bought me the Mixed Berry Mask, as pictured above. The mask contains extracts from an assortment of berries: blueberry, raspberry, cowberry, mulberry, etc. The mask also contains Green Tea Extract and Comfrey Extract. The ingredients provide some wonderful benefits.

Blueberries:

Blueberries are rich in fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, and anitoxidants. Many vitamins in bluberries can, in fact, neutralize/normalize oil levels in the skin. The vitamins counteract the hormones that can contribute to acne. Vitamin A, especially, is used in lots of acne treatment products. Anitoxidants found in blueberries protect skin against damage from free radials, keeping the skin looking and feeling both smooth and youthful.

Raspberries:

Raspberries contain 50% more antioxidants than strawberries, and their antioxidant strength is 10 times more powerful than those of tomatoes, making them one of the best disease-fighting berries. Anthocyanins, which give raspberries their distinct color, aid in collagen production, helping the skin stay young and wrinkle-free! Rapsberries also contain high amounts of vitamin C, magnesium, potassium, and fiber. The fiber aids in digestion and rids the body of toxins and wastes, which is super important for clear skin.

Cowberries:

Cowberries, or more commonly known as lingonberries, are called the 'new superfruit'. The berry contain organic acids (citric, malic, salicylic and oxalic acids), vitamin C, carotene, potassium salt, strontium, calcium, manganese, copper, zinc, iron, pectin substances, glycosides, benzoic acid, tannins and essential oils, all of which are super beneficial to the skin.

Mulberries:

Mulberries are rich in arbutin, vitamin A, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, and flavones. In addition, they contain the highest levels of antioxidants, which protect the body from harmful oxidation of free radicals. The antioxidants in mulberries can clear dark spots from the face and brighten the skin. Mulberries regulate melanin synthesis, thus reducing dark spots and blemishes.

Green Tea:

Green Tea, like the berries, also contain large amounts of anitoxidants. In addition to antioxidants, green tea conatins vitamin B, and vitamin C. Vitamin B12 is necessary for skin regenertaion. Vitamin C is also essential to the production of collagen, a protein which enhances the firmness of skin and helps the skin repair itself. Green tea is also known to have anti-inflammatory properties, making red, irritated pimples smaller and less painful.

Comfrey:

The herb, comfrey, has healing and anti-inflammatory properties. Comfrey contains allantoin, a chemicl that protects the skin and promotes new skin cell growth. It is said to help 'knit' cells back together after a wound.

In no way was I paid or sponsored to write this.

Everything written above expresses my true opinions.

I am not here to force anyone to buy the masks; I just wanted to introduce them.

I have not yet tried one; when I do, I'll update a post on the effects of the mask.

stars_5.gif 很不错 (Very Nice)*

水份很足,贴上去很舒服,还有一股甜甜的味道,我喜欢。我入手的时候是9.5$,一次性买了2盒,现在好像涨价了,呵呵

The mask is very moist, once it is applied it feels very comfortable, and it even has a bit of a sweet scent. I like it. When I bought the mask, it was about $9.50, and I immediately bought 2 boxes; however, now the price seems to have gone up, haha.

smell isnt overpowering, there is plenty of the liquid to rub into your skin afterwards, VERY VERY HYDRATING: had dry, itchy skin and used at night with my night cream and the next day it was very supple and bright. Downside would be size of the mask, a bit unproportioned especially in the forehead area
