Background: Miyoung is an only child with two loving parents who are back in California. Miyoung is one of the Top 5 in her school. When Miyoung was 4 she entered a singing contest. In the beginning only the judges were allowed to see who would make it to the final round where the finalist will be singing in front of 100 people plus a news crew would be recording them. On the day of the finals, Minnie began to feel dizzy and sick. As her turn came closer, she began going paler and paler. When she finally got up on stage she saw so many eyes and so many bright lights and froze. Minnie felt like something was coming up and she barfed all over the stage and judges. She saw the other kids laughing at her so Miyoung ran of the stage and vowed to never go on again.

Miyoung began listening to Kpop when she was 8 and found a variety show called Hello Baby with shinee. Minnie soon began her research on Kpop. When she found TVXQ's keep your head down she was memorized by the complicated dance moves and their powerful vocals. From that day on Miyoung began learning the dances of of Youtube and perfecting them as she grew up. When Miyoung turned 15 she asked if she could go to live with her grandparents in Seoul, South Korea. After much persuasing her parents finally gave in and said she could go as long as she didn't burden her grandparents.

When Miyoung turned 17 she found the courage to finally audition with the help of her grandparents. By helping she means them secretly singning her up for contests and telling her a day before the compitions. Her grandparents fully supported her while her parents disagreed but still when with it. Miyoung prepared for audition and by some miricale she got acceppted.
