Back-Up Ulzzang: Jo Geun Hyeong

Fashion Style: Natural. That's the easiest way to describe Yeongsu's choice of clothing. Natural, neutral, and kinda boring to other people, but he personally loves it. Baggy cargo shorts (which are all colored either tan, brown, gray, or dark green), his worn-out sandals, and light t-shirts (all white) are basically all he ever wears, no matter the season or weather. He has the wardrobe variety of a cartoon character, basically. The only time he really switches it up are for practices and formal fancy-schmancy events. He'll wear sweatpants, a t-shirt and sneakers for practice (and complain the entire time) and a fancy-schmancy suit for formal events. (but he'll still wear his sandals. and he'll still complain the entire time about the suit.)

Other Noteable Features: none.

Background: To be honest, Yeongsu had a pretty awesome childhood. His parents were awesome and encouraged Yeongsu to do what he wanted to do, and they raised him to be open to what others think and who they are, as well as to stay true to himself. So, when Yeongsu wanted to take up ballet, his parents were actually pretty thrilled. They signed him up right away and bragged to all their friends that their son was taking ballet. At his first lesson, they both showed up and filmed the entire thing because their son was doing ballet could anything make that day better? Yes, actually, something could. Yeongsu was a natural at it. The only problem was that, naturally, this brought on bullying. The only kids who would play with Yeongsu were the girls; all the boys and ridiculed him, even as they all got older. This caused Yeongsu to start to form a sort of "shell", avoiding everyone he wasn't close to and never even mentioning anything about ballet. His parents noticed this and started to get him into yoga and meditation, a daily occurence in their home that they were planning to teach Yeongsu about when he was older, but with the circumstances they figured it'd be better to do it early. The meditation and yoga certainly helped, and soon he became the same social butterfly he used to be.

At age 9 Yeongsu gained a little sister. She was better than any puppy or kitten or butterfly or lizard, and Yeongsu would sit beside her crib every day and read her stories and tell her all about his day. As she got older he taught her what he learned in ballet class and he taught her how to catch bugs and how to feed the birds at the lake by their home. They bonded quickly and became the best of friends, even with their large age difference. As all this was happening, Yeongsu's dance lessons were becoming more and more challenging as he advanced. He persevered, determined to fulfill his dream— to someday join the Royal Ballet in Britain.

A competition was coming up. The Seoul International Dance Competition. He practiced during breaks at school, he practiced at his dance classes, and he practiced at home. He could do the routine in his sleep by the day of the competition. And he did perfect. Until the end of the dance.

He lost his balance while trying to do an arabesque, and he fell.

A move he'd done thousands of times, and he fell.

He made his decision then and there, at twelve years old, to never do ballet again. He took a break from dancning entirely, not even thinking about dance at all for three years. And then his little sister took on dance lessons. She started hip-hop and pop, and she forced her brother to come along for her lessons. She bragged to all her friends that Yeongsu did ballet for six whole years and he taught her a bunch of stuff. The teacher overheard all this and approached Yeongsu at the end of the class, asking if he would want to try out a lesson. Honestly, he missed dancing. So he took her up on her offer, and the rest is, as they say... history. *dumdumdadUMMMMMMM*

Personality: Yeongsu is rather...unique. He isn't afraid to express his own opinions, and doesn't change who he is for other people. That being said, his no filter mouth can be a bit of a problem at times, especially when he's expressing his opinions on other people. His desire to stay true to himself is something he's had throughout his life, and he does pride himself on that.

No doubt, Yeongsu is probably the chillest guy you'll ever meet. He only gets angry during extreme circumstances, and even then he still won't explode or anything. The self-dubbed peacemaker of the crew, he'll step into any fights and help the people involved try to solve it in a peaceful way. He's also quite good at giving advice, but honestly that's about all this guy is worth for. His advice isn't even that good half the time— he might just spout some random, profound quote and hope for the best. You can't really expect him to take things seriously (most of the time), because he just doesn't. He has a bit of a problem where he won't accept any help for himself. He absolutely refuses any and all help, because he likes to solve his own problems. And when he does try to solve his problems...he won't stop until he does.

Going back to his unique aspect, Yeongsu has a really optimistic, the-glass-is-half-full outlook on life and is open to just about anything. He won't shun any different opinions and beliefs that aren't similar to his, unless they're hurtful/wrong/etc. (i.e. same- marriage shouldn't happen), but even then he doesn't literally "shun" them— he'll just say "Yo, I don't agree with that," and that's that. He really enjoys learning about different things. He could spend a week reading up on ghosts and the paranormal, just to say "Oh, I actually don't believe in them, but if you do, that's cool!"

He's all about peace, as his "peacemaker" title should tell you, and he has earned the nickname "Hippie" from many of his past friends because of this. He's kind of a hippie in other aspects too— chillest dude you'll ever meet? Check. Vegetarian? Half-check. Quite possibly an animal in his past life? Check. Meditation and yoga part of his daily life? Check and check. The dude screams "peace and love and hugs" and he's totally okay with that. Chicks dig a cool dude, after all.

[ Family ]

Father - Oh Dohyeong | 45 | Bassoonist | 3 Personality Traits | Description of relationship
Mother -
Oh Junghwa | 42 | Hypnotherapist | Supportive, headstrong, self-reliant | Yeongsu and his mother have always had a close relationship. He could be called a bit of a momma's boy, but that doesn't really bother either of them.
Sibling - Oh Ji-Su | 10 | Student | Surprisingly normal, dedicated, hardworking | The way Yeongsu talks about his sister and how close they are, most people are surprised to find out she's 10. If anything, the two are so close someone who never met them might assume they're twins. Yeongsu has taught Ji-Su everything she knows about ballet, bug hunting, and reading, and it's thanks to Ji-Su that Yeongsu took up dancing again. It'd be hard to find a closer pair of siblings.

[ Friends ]

The Appeal | 20-22 | Metric's appeal???? | appeal, appeal, appeal??? | The two are like total bros. It's around him that Yeongsu acts more...normal and less hippie...weird...whatever. Also, these two are pretty good at fanservice together. Bros, man. Total bros.
Key | 21 | Idol in SHINee | Confident, takes from nobody, sassy | Opposites attract, and that's certainly the case with Key and Yeongsu. The two balance each other out, and get along way better than anyone might expect. They do share some similarities however, like both of them don't change themselves for anybody and stand up for what they believe in.

[ Love Interest ]

C.A.P | 21 | Idol in Teen Top | Mature, dorky, tired 97% of the time
How You Met: T'was a dark, stormy night, except it wasn't actually stormy, and Yeongsu forgot to go to the supermarket to get fruit for his lunch for the next day. Just as he was entering the supermarket, C.A.P was leaving, and the two bumped into each other. They exchanged the usual "oh, sorry, no I'm sorry, are you okay?"'s and then continued on with their business.
Description of Relationship: It's very lovey-dovey kissy-kissy so-much-fluff-i-might-die-fluffy. They're pretty open about their relationship (or as open as they can be) and if they're together they're pretty much always attached to each other, whether they're holding hands or cuddled up on the couch or attached by the lips. Luckily they don't use weird petnames and just call each other by their names (although sometimes yeongsu likes to tease C.A.P and call him "Minsoo-yah" in a aegyo-y voice). Yeongsu is very supportive of C.A.P and Teen Top and C.A.P is of course supportive of Yeongsu and Metric. but then when things get heated they're like an entirely different couple it's ridiculous

The Appeal | 20-22 | Metric's appeal??? | appeal, appeal, appeal???
How You Met: uhmmm when Metric was formed? ovo;;
Description of Relationship: essentially the same as in the friends area, but their fanservice tends to be more than fanservice, if you get what i mean. luckily fans just write it off as fanservice though. except the delusional ones, who technically wouldn't be delusional...

Action

Your Username/Name: changjii or sam. either works c:

Scene Requests: uhm. i don't—i don't really know. ;v; the only request i really have is: c.a.p (or the metric member) tries to get yeongsu back into ballet, so he makes up this big elaborate plan. tells yeongsu he'll be taking him somewhere special, blindfolds him, (y'know, the whole sha-bang) and then ends up taking him to a small little ballet studio. he takes off the blindfold and yeongsu is just like "dude what the " and he gets literally angry at him, explodes and starts yelling and stuff and then he just gets all quiet and cries and it's like this really romantic moment (like if it was an anime there'd be sakura blossoms goin' everywhere and ) and c.a.p/member guy is like "hey if you do it i'll do it to" and it's all doki-doki "wow i love u" "i love u too so u gonna do it y/n???" and. yeah. whatever happens next you decide i guess? lmao. otherwise tbh i don't care what you do with yeongsu. as long as he doesn't die or anything, i'm cool with whatever. \o/ (i gOT REALLY INTO THIS SORRY OMFG.)

Artist Requests: teen top, mblaq, myname, chocolat, snsd, f(x), brown eyed girls. i'd say gp basic but they're like babies still??? (the youngest is fourteen i s2g)

Comments & Suggestions: i feel like certain parts of my app definitely need work, but i figured i'd turn it in and get your opinion anyways.~ even after doing research ballet makes no sense to me at all sobs
