WTF people???!!!! ??!?

Hey guys! You know what I noticed about asianfanfics lately? People don't comment anymore. And the funny thing is that, they're also authors and we all know that authors hate silent readers and yet they're being silent readers.

Comments motivate authors. Pushing them to be their best knowing that people do indeed like the story and still read it. But then when no one comments or there are very few comments, the author feels discouraged and keeps on feeling discouraged until they have had enough. Then what happens? They decide to stop writing the story and just leave it there. Or even worse, delete it.

So if you people could just stop being silent readers then asianfanfics would be at peace.

I notice that too, whenever i read i try to leave something behind beside "Update Soon." haha, anyways i hope people starts to leave comment again, its does give the writer some courage to keep writing if she/he knew others are reading their story.

I totally agree.
It makes you feel down and lonely that you write something but then readers don't even want to leave a comment. Even one word comments are better than none.

Rather, the quality or the thought behind the comment counts.Sometimes, even if there are lots of comment, if the only thing that I read is "update soon", then I won't be encouraged that muc either. Not unlike when someone commented a comment that shows her brief analysis, reaction or even corrections-I personally feel that the comment is worthy of a reply and sincere thank you. :)

Totally agree. I always comment in author stories but when I recieve very few comments on my stories I feel very discouraged. Espically after we spend so much time and effort to write it. Glad someone else agrees!

Yeah, and it is breaking my heart too. :(

Before I can get more than 20 comments per chapter, now I got what? eight? And I don't know where to get inspiration. It makes me feel that my stories aren't that interesting anymore.

Maybe it is because of the karma points? Before, a user can up vote a story if he/she has 100 karma points. And now, all that's needed is just 25. (Haha. Lame logic of mine, mianhe.)

Anyway, I'm an author and a reader too. But I do comment most of the time with the stories I am subscribed. And I wish my readers will do the same.

but sometimes we cant blame them...
for some reasons they might
1. subscribed but dont have a chance to read that's why the are not commenting...[they view the story but dont read it]
2. when u upadating, u can see the views is increasing but the readers might be an outsiders without aff account not your subscribers.. [coz i once, before joining AFF, i read lot of stories but never leave a comment coz i didnt have an acc.
3. let honestly ask ourselves, do we leave comments in every story we read or subscribed.. for me honestly no.. but if the story catch my attention i will definitely leave a comment of supports or critics..
