Rewriting

Yeah, sometimes you just have to delete a story that you work so hard for just because you aren't satisfied with the way it flows.

It might be hard, but I believe it's for the best to just delete the whole thing and start afresh than to publish a mediocre story.

In this book, Dave at Night by Gail Carson (the writer or Ella Enchanted by the way), the main character's favourite class in the orphanage he lived in was art. He thought he was good at it. He drew part of a face beautifully, but he was afraid of continuing because he didn't want to ruin the picture, even if it's incomplete. He also didn't dare to erase it and move it when he drew the rest of the body out of proportion from the face, but his teacher told him to have courage.

I think the same theory applies here.

Even if you wrote something really nice, like a paragraph or two, but the rest of the story doesn't flow the way you wish it to be, it's still best to have courage and erase the whole thing.

So that's what I just did. I didn't like what I wrote as a whole although snippets of it are really good in my opinion.

Blah~ what I write here are mostly just rants, do not mind me hehe~
