A PINK - "Again with the INNOCENT concept? We wanted it."
Girl group A Pink, who has once again stepped on to the entertainment world with fairy-like innocent concept are receiving lots of love. Why with the innocent concept you ask?
“We (A Pink) have discussed about it for a long time and told our agency. We wanted to keep our (innocent) concept.”
A Pink who is currently promoting their 3rd Mini Album, “Secret Garden" had spoke with OSEN during their interview on July 15th. “We wanted to show more of A Pink colours to our audiences," A Pink emphasized.
Among the intense competition of concept changes between girl groups, A Pink’s perseverance in this situation was appealing.
A Pink leader Park Chorong said, "We know that many people say there is no change in us. However, with our hiatus being extremely long (1 year and 2 months) and watching many groups promoting in that time, we thought that it would create high competition with keeping our concept.”
It is said that representatives of the agency had suggested A Pink to come out from their (innocent) concept. But in the end, they chose to stick to the long-discussed innocent concept which they maintained today.
“Changing and becoming new, isn’t always the best thing. We thought that keeping our own A Pink concept would rather make us stand out. As our leader Rong unnie (Park Chorong) had said, we came to the conclusion that it was for the best of us to not change." member Jung Eunji explained.
When asked, ‘When will A Pink make their transformation to y concept?’ A Pink members replied, ”First of all, the high school students (Kim Namjoo and Oh Hayoung) will have to become adults first, so it will have to wait 2 years," and laughed.
A Pink is currently promoting their title track “NO NO NO" in various music programs. Also, member Son Naeun is featuring on “We Got Married" with SHINee’s Taemin as virtual couples showing lovey dovey life of newlyweds.
