New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees, and Boys II Men

So yesterday, instead of updating "The Undomestic Nanny", I was actually out all day because I went to go see a concert with my sister and her coworkers!!!! Now I went to two other concerts in my lifetime, the other two were fun in their own ways but this one was AWESOME! If you're curious, I went to see Daughtry in concert in spring of 2011 and last year, went to see Big Time Rush. However, I think this one was the best one because I actually had good seats. They were floor seats. XD

Anyways, I'll give you a recap on what happened. Boys II Men was the opening act. They performed a lot of familiar songs such as "Bended Knees" and "I'll Make Love to You". I love the group a lot but felt kind of bad for not studying the lyrics like I was supposed to (>.<). They performed other familiar songs (about a total of five? I didn't exactly count) but I totally forgot some of the titles so forgive me!

Next, was the moment I was waiting for... 98 Degrees!!!! *screams* Initially, I thought they were the main act but was slightly disappointed to find out that they were openers. But then, I should be grateful because I can now say I finally saw them in concert. Of course, listening to them the most out of all three groups, I knew their songs very well. They opened their performance with "Give It Up". It's a fast upbeat song but not my favorite because it's too fast and I'm not much of a fast song type of person especially for 98 Degrees, who are known as a ballad group. Their next song was their new single... I forgot the name (>.<) But the next song after was their debut single which is my all-time favorite and I actually knew the lyrics very well, which was "Invisible Man"! That will always be my favorite song of theirs. Their next one was "The Hardest Thing", another classic of course! Then their wedding anthem "I Do (Cherish You)". This next act had me fangirling big time because they performed "My Everything" and I got jealous because they pulled four women onstage and serenaded them! Lucky women! They then performed "One Night (Una Noche)", now I wish I studied the lyrics because that was a decent song too even though it was fast. They ended up wrapping up with a hit that actually got me into them and that was "Because of You"! I may have left out the part where they all take off their shirts and wore their wifebeaters! I was totally swooning all right... *_* I can't... They're too old and married.

Lastly was our final act, New Kids on the Block!!!!!! I mean that's who the concert was for anyways. I mean for men in their 40s they still have their groove. Just saying. Their performances lasted for about two hours. I feel so bad because even though I was there for the other two groups, I didn't pay much attention to them and their performances made up for it. It immediately turned me into a fan lol. I wish my older sister was there with me because she was a huge NKOTB fan growing up. I recognized a few of their songs even though I didn't know a lot. I knew "Remix" and "Step By Step" and then the recent songs such as "Summer Time" and "Single". I should really look into them a lot more.

When they were performing "Summer Time" they released these giant balloons for us fans to hit around and when one came my way, some chick behind me accidentally pulled my hair and immediately apologized for it. Another crazy thing that happened at the concert was when they were performing "Single". That is one song that me and my younger sister liked because that song was released when we were teenagers of course. Okay, Donnie is walking around on stage leaning down to be near the fans and he suddenly starts to serenade a female in the front row. As he leans down to cup her face in his hands, his face inches close to hers. Their lips suddenly meet and she devours his face which catches the majority of us by surprised! Even he was flustered by it. I found it to be rather adorable lol. I'm gonna remark on the woman he made out with and assume she was married. As a matter of fact, I know she was married. I mean I don't know for sure but it's that gut feeling. I can tell. :O

Anyways, I'm gonna start giving you a quick review of the highlights of my night.

Firstly, for men in their 40s these guys still got it going on. I know I mentioned it earlier. But damn! I mean watching Joey McIntyre perform made me start crushing on him even though my older sister was the one with a crush on him. And then I see Donnie Wahlberg rip his shirt off and then like a snap of a finger, my attention was shifted to him. I thought Jordan Knight was looking good too but Joey and Donnie stole the show for me. Of course, I had to immediately take my words back because someone else stole my heart that night and it ain't a member of NKOTB! Nope. It was actually Joey's little son Griffin. OMFG! He's like the cutest little boy ever! Singing along to his dad's song and Joey carrying him around onstage to show him off proudly. Forget Joey and Donnie, I'm in love with Griffin now! XD

That's all for now. I would like to say I enjoyed myself. A LOT. Now I'm looking forward to seeing BSB in concert! I can't wait! ^^

Wow, nostalgia city for me. 98 degrees did one night? I'm uber jealous. That song came out right AFTER I saw them live as.a child. It was my favorite but I never saw it live. And I was forced to work last year when Boyz II Men had a free concert in Colorado. I'm jealous
