To everyone that has read and signed the petition, I would firstly like to thank you. I’d also like to thank everyone who helped me compile the petition (especially LinJie92, IS2Kyu and TsweetYumi). I’d also like to apologize to anyone reading this my grammar is terrible but please stick with me !
I was nice in the petition. This is not going to be as nice, actually, It’s going to be highly opinionated and I’m going to pouring all my anger I withheld in the petition to confines of this blog post. Before I get urges to feed certain people to hordes of Siafu Ants.
I’m sure at this point some people reading this would be like “why are you bothering with this”? The petition in question is actually largely supported. While majority of ELF support Zhou Mi and Henry there is still a separatist stigma prevalent within the fandom. Further, there are still those that carry on with this idiotic notion of ‘only 13 members’ (if you want to read up on this here is a good Wikipedia place to start http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Junior-M alsohttp://krnloop.wordpress.com/2008/01/26/elf-only-13/) This is where I believe the petition “We demand SM Entertainment to clearly define the boundaries between Super Junior and guest members” has stemmed from (link: . Briefly the petition states that:
- Their was and agreement between ELF and SM to ensure Henry and Zhou Mi only stayed as guests.
- They do not want Henry and Zhou Mi to sing Super Junior songs, do the traditional greeting and participate in press conferences.
- For Henry and Zhou Mi’s solo activities they do not want the pearl sapphire blue color to be used.
- Any sns which is primarily for Super Junior is not allowed to post about Henry and Zhou Mi’s solo activities.

DId SM agree to this? I honestly don’t know. So, until someone shows me evidence of this agreement, and it was contractually binding it didn’t happen. A news article will do or anything that states the terms of the agreement. The fact that united elf are not even requesting but demanding is in itself almost rude. We are merely fans so it is highly unlikely that any agreement would be binding. The demanding nature appears to be overly aggressive and even if my boss demanded me to do something chances are I won’t do it. Plus, let’s be logical here SM Entertainment earn money from Henry and Zhou Mi they aren’t just going to separate them into SJM exclusively. Both members have rather large fanbases so with a company like SM Enetertainment I doubt they’d listen to there demands.

Here are some parts from the agreement between E.L.F and SM Entertainment on July 30, 2008:
- The band needs different strategies to break into different markets. Therefore, local members can be added to subgroups of Super Junior to appeal to overseas fans.
- The local members will be members of the subgroup, but remain ‘GUEST’ members of Super Junior.
Regarding the second point, an SM personnel clarified, “When local members are admitted to a subgroup, they are just members of Super Junior – X (e.g., Happy, T, and M) and they are NOT members of Super Junior.”
Henry & Zhoumi are guest members, members of the SJ-M, but they are not members of super junior.
We are both not aware of the source of this but it is clear this happened in 2008. Time has passed since then and the fact people still feel the need have such a protective stance as to how Henry and Zhou Mi will destroy Super Junior’s unity baffles me. It’s 2013 everyone and it’s time to get a reality check. The amount of blood, sweat and tears Henry and Zhou Mi have put into Super Junior tells me they have more than earned their spot on the team. They have put so up with so much crap to get Super Junior to where it is now. Anyone that says otherwise is blocking his or her ears and eyes screaming “BLAH BLAH BLAH I CAN’T HEAR YOU AND I CAN’T SEE YOU THEREFORE YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING.”
Imagine getting the amount of hate Zhou Mi and Henry do for simply being part of Super Junior M. It’s like having everyone at your school screaming abuse at you and times that by 1000. Those boys have been nothing but positive and down to earth throughout everything. How many idols would sit by the pavement and sing acoustic versions of his songs for his fans? How many idols would sit down help translate lyrics into chinese, patiently teach their fellow members Chinese and stay during recording sessions to ensure everything was ok? In their next lives Henry and Zhou Mi should be born as billionaires and be the kings of the universe. It’s discriminatory and the fans are almost bullying both of them and making them feel alienated.
The boys are only human and it’s scary to even think what would their response be to this petition. This baidu bar post from a few years ago written by Henry is a heart-breaking read:

The petition writers claim to support Zhou Mi and Henry but I believe that as far as I can throw them (which is not at all as I have severe tendonitis). Firstly, why is it okay for non Super Junior-M members to sing SJM songs and Henry and Zhou Mi not to sing Super Junior songs? Not allowing Henry and Zhou Mi seems to be a case of self-refuting logic that goes against any concept of fairness.
Call me picky but the fact they have used the term ‘guests’ pisses me off to no end. When f(x) came to perform ‘Oops’ in ss4 they were guests. Zhou Mi and Henry are not guests as they actively help Super Junior promote. Guests are only meant to be a temporary, one off appearance for that round of concerts. It is clear that Zhou Mi and Henry, despite what anyone wants, are here for good. They are extremely talented and without them I’d hate to think what Super Junior’s communication in other language would be like. They are not guests so in my mind the petition does not even apply to them. However, for the sake of the argument lets continue on shall we?
What the hell is wrong with Henry and Zhou Mi appearing at the press conferences? So far the only one they have appeared at was the Hong Kong one and it makes sense that they do (in my opinion this was the final straw for only 13ers). Honestly, who speaks English better then Henry? Who speaks Mandarin better than Zhou Mi? As a simple matter of practicality doesn’t it make sense that they appear. At any rate they perform at the concert quite a bit (even if you don’t count the Super Junior songs they sing). They have every right to be at that press conference. It appears to me some E.L.F. are being picky and are being anything but Ever Lasting Friends.
I fail to see why the use of pearl sapphire blue colour in Henry’s promotions is a problem. Is he meant to just get his own colour and be like ‘guys I have to be a different colour because otherwise I’m imposing on Super Junior because I have done nothing for the group and I’m not even part of it.’ As I have argued before Henry is part of the Super Junior family. No one supported him more during TRAP than the members, they even went to visit him (I haven’t even included all of the tweets 
) !
Now if that wasn’t enough to convince people of a different mentality of my own maybe the boys themselves will. Isn’t it clear that the boys don’t wish for Zhou Mi and Henry should be separated? They love and support them. All pics cr as tagged
Leeteuk himself wishes for the Only 13 mentality to be gone. Why are some ELF so stuck in the past? In SS4 Leeteuk invited both Henry and Zhou Mi on stage and encouraged ELF to support them.

If you watch closely Leeteuk (via http://iheartjjong.tumblr.com/post/9740775475/leeteuk-supports-zhoumi-and-henry) says when Super Junior does there cheer before they go on stage he actually stops them and yells “Where are Henry and ZhouMi??? Henry?! ZhouMi?! Come here~!”.

Then we have Heechul, who I’d love to see his response to this petition (I’m sure he’d say something along the lines of ‘go s*** in the toilet). Heechul is particularly close with Zhou Mi having posted numerous selcas with him. Zhou Mi often visited Heechul in the hospital when he had his car accident even before he became part of SJM.

More recently in his army show Heechul shows his support to Super Junior’s Henry (his words not mine) by trying to sing Trap.
Leeteuk and Heechul are not alone in this, other members obviously believe in the notion that Henry and Zhou Mi are part of the Super Junior family.

In the Naver conference for SS5 Eunhyuk stated, “Actually, during all this time, it was a pity. In Zhou Mi and Henry’s case, there is something that everyone needs to understand. They are always here at the concert venue, they come and they wait for a long period of time in the waiting room. It is such a long time that, when they appear for awhile on stage and they go back and wait for a long time again. These two friends actually have a lot of passion on stage, it is a pity that there are not many chances to perform together.”

Isn’t it clear the Eunhyuk and the other members want to perform more with Henry and Zhou Mi? Why must people segregate themselves. If you don’t want to listen to other E.L.F. at least listen to the boys.
Why spend and waste so much time trying to separate the boys. Shouldn’t we focus instead on bringing them together? Shouldn’t E.L.F. be unified and support every single member.
As Leeteuk said in SS4 “Protect Super Junior”.
So I compel each and every one of you to protect Super Junior. Each and every single member including Henry and Zhou Mi.
