`nicknames - generally, soyeon only goes by soyeon except from on her fashion blog where she uses the alias of "sora." to keep things interesting for herself. she chose the name sora because funnily enough, it's the name of a stuffed bunny that she has had since the age of seven and though she's had many toys throughout her lifetime, she could never bear to throw that specific one away because when her parents had to go on a business trip overseas - without soyeon - she was scared of being left alone with her carer. to try and calm her, her mother bought her a stuffed rabbit named sora telling her that the toy would keep her safe, only a child, soyeon believed it and always kept it close. to the day, she still has the plush toy so she thought that it would in some way grant her good luck if she used the name.

`languages - the sole language that soyeon is fluent in is korean seeing as it is her native language. when she was a teenager, her parents encouraged her to take up an english class to add to a resume if she applied for jobs in the future so she's close to fluent in english but she's still learning the language.

personal message - first of all, i would like to say sorry if this application is incredibly awkward, this is my first time writing one for a story that is not my own - ever - so i'm really sorry if it's awkward. secondly, of course like everyone that applies i hope you pick my application but i understand that there will be many good applicants so i won't react badly if i'm not chosen of course and i'll probably follow along with the story anyway because i like the idea of the plot! also good luck choosing! :)

description of character's personality - { if you wanted to use one word to describe soyeon, it would probably be - loud. but of course you can't really describe someone with one word because there are many layers to a person that just take time to find out about. on the outer layer, soyeon's a girl that has the charmisa that could charm even the grumpiest of people - or annoy them with her upbeat attitude -. due to being lavished by money throughout her childhood, soyeon can appear to be a brat and in a lot of senses materialistic believing that problems can be solved with simple profucts or just buying them away though that isn't the case.
on the inside though, soyoen is indeed incredibly frail, emotional and self-conscious. from her past difficulties with her body image, soyeon's constantly worried about what other people think of her even with the smallest of aspects. soyeon's also an incredibly sensitive person who cries at nearly every negative thing that happens to her - generally playing the victim card a lot. }
`key traits - loud, perky, friendly, materialistic, self-conscious, emotional, sensitive, confident.
`likes - boutiques, perfume, tea ( specifically green tea ), money, perfumes, flowers, macaroons, the colour pink, "chick-flicks", cats, the colour pink, photography and her blog.
`dislikes - pressure, her appearence being picked at, the fear of imperfection, pity, being proven wrong, not getting enough "beauty sleep", mathematics, cheathers, bullies.
background - { kim yuhan and his wife, kim miyoung, had spent years trying to concieve a child with fail so it came as a miricle to them when soyeon was born. from the day of her birth onwards, there was no such thing as a limit of expense in her parent's view for pleasing soyeon - nothing was too good for their miricle child and it didn't hurt that with their business that they had the funds to back everything up easily. the young girl grew up in - what many would describe as - luxuary penthouse along with her parents though it didn't always prove so great seemingly having everything because her parents spent majority of their time working and their holidays on business trips to both soyeon and the couple's dismay. in place of this, soyeon was gifted with many toys as a child as well as all the clothes that she wanted - this caused her to become slightly materalistic, believing that anything can be solved by products that a person can buy.
the worst part of her childhood - in her opinion - came when she was around fourteen to fifteen years old though. despite being a nice girl, as a child, soyeon was plump, especially for her age. this led to bullying throughout her high school years, making her feel sensitive and self-conscious when on the subject of her appearence. also because of her plump figure, soyeon had the minimal amount of friends, only having one or two to stay by seeing as most of the other school students unfortunatly bullied the young girl. after this went on for a year or two, soyeon had grown tired of the insults aimed at the way she looked so she spent an entire year working her way down the weight scale till she was a tiny frame - though still at a minimally healthy weight -, but though this helped her gain the confidence she has to the day, it didn't rid of her self-conscious attitude and sensitivity.
after graduating high school with grades that were good - but no where near those of say a medical hopeful -, soyeon spent a large majority of her time wondering what she wanted to do with her life and what path she wanted to take in terms of career. over the term of a summer, soyeon decided to create a blog for herself - it was never meant to be anything big, just something where she could post her "outfit of the day" pictures and her blogs concerning her day. after gaining some praise from internet "fans" of hers concerning her fashion choices and looks, soyeon was starting to be known as an ulzzang and was getting a better grasp of fashion as a thing in general. having discovered what she now thinks of as her passion, soyeon aspires to be a fashion designer but is not too sure on how to make it far.
now at twenty years old and having an idea of what she wants to do for the rest of her life, soyeon decided that it was time to pack her bags and try to find a place that was away from her family - despite how much she truly loves them - to prove not only to them but to herself that she could actually move out on her own. }
relationships
family - { kim yuhan - father - fifty - co-owner of a large string of highly successful financial handing business ( co-owned with his wife ) - despite the fact that the two had a distanced relationship because of his work, yuhan and soyeon are very close and they enjoy the short peroids of time that they both spend together. }

{ kim yun-hee - sisters - fourteen - student - there is truly no better sibling - in soyeon's opinion - that she could ask for than yun-hee. the two spent many nights speaking together and bonding over things that they shared as siblings as well as soyeon trying to help her younger sibling through her school years. overall, soyeon is playfully protective over yun-hee but loves her seeing as she is the best - and only - sister to her. }
friends - { park miyeon ( though she's referred to by her nickname serri ) - best friend - twenty - university student studying biochemistry - minyeon, or serri as she prefers, is one of soyeon few friends from her school days that kept in contact with her after their educational years ceased. serri was the first person to befriend soyeon despite her reputation as a social pariah. the girls got on incredibly well, serri being the intelligent, leader of the pair while soyeon was the loud one, always coming up for "quirky" ways that the two could have fun together - though in her prime, soyeon was only loud and confident among close friends -. }
love interest - { kim myungsoo - the two are casual friends at best, currently - twenty-one - photographer - myungsoo and soyeon met when soyeon was in need of somebody to help her take some pictures for her blog around the time when she was just starting it out and didn't have the proper equiptment to take hq photos herself, when he accepted the job, soyeon and myungsoo bonded instantly and became friends - although it hasn't moved too far from there. }
`love interest's personality - myungsoo's overall a very calm and collected man with a passion for photography. from a young age, he's always held an interest in it so he decided to pursue the hobby as a career. he's got a fairly introverted attitude and can appear as cold and distant though that is not the case - he's very artistic and creative but has a hard time trying to be confident with himself sometimes.

scene requests? - whilst trying to take some pictures for her fashion blog, soyeon accidentally breaks her camera. she takes the camera to myungsoo, who after fiddling with the broken equiptment admits he actually doesn't know how to fix it. instead, he offers to take the pictures for her while she waits on her new camera arriving in the mail.
