Judging Rubrics

Rubrics for stories:
 
Title [5] 
How well does the title relate to your story? 
 
Description/Foreword [10] 
Did you utilise this well? Did you reveal too much/too little? Is it relavant?
 
Plot [25] 
Is it unique? Interesting? How was the development?

Flow [25] 
Was the pace of your story too fast or too slow? Are there abrupt moments which don't make much sense?
 
Language [30]
Pretty much self-explanatory. This part basically covers your grasp of the english language and use of literary devices. What about the descriptions? 
 
Style [10]
Your writing style.

Characterization [20]
Did your characters grow? How well are they portrayed? How well do we as readers know them and how much of an impression did they leave on us?

Theme/Prompt [10]
How well are these incorporated in your story?
 
Personal Enjoyment [10]
How well did the judge(s) enjoy your story?  
 
Rubrics for poems:
 
Title [10] 
How relevant is the title to your poem?
 
Flow [20]
What's the pace of your poem? Did it work to your advantage? 
 
Style/Form [20]
Your style of writing and the form of your poem. Did you make good use of them to convey the subject in your poem?
 
Language [25]
Are the linguistic devices fully utilised? 
 
Central Message [15]
Is it conveyed successfully? Did the judge[s] understand the point of your poem?
 
Theme/Prompt [10]
How well are these incorporated in your poem?
 
 
*All these will be rebased upon a hundred percent.
