Rage Blog #2 - Rookie groups and members leaving groups

Heeey there sweeties/pandas! Loou here~~~ Long time no see…Sorry for being away for so long as Sweet Love Factory and I apologize greatly for starting this rage blog rubric and then stop abruptly and not write for like 4-5 months…Well so you know I wrote a blog when SHINee made their comeback with Dream Girl, but after I finished writing it on here I accidentally clicked back and it all went to hell…and I have to mention that it was around midnight when I wrote it and the next day I had to wake really early so I just went to sleep after that…Sorry

Now that I ended the rant about me being stupid let’s get to the subject! The rage blog!!!

Rookie groups and members leaving groups

Not just idol groups that debuted this year but also groups that mainly remained rookie groups (because after their debut they never released another song…never…)

I hate it!!!

There is like a debut a week maybe even more!!! And then I listen to their songs and it’s like this: half of them and half of them are really good….But after that I think about something else…Only one of the 40 groups I listened to will probably come up with another song and when they’ll come up with it there will be 5 new members because some of the old members left because they had ‘personal issues’.

Oh God…and don’t let me start with the statements the companies give :

‘He/she has a medical issue but she/he will join the group at the next comeback’

Oh puh-lease!!! She/he will join …you just fcking kicked him/her out of the group! I’m still waiting for that blondie from Chocolat to come back, and I ain’t seen her anywhere! I haven’t seen any article about her saying that she officially left the group! The last article was about her rejoining after she gets better…

The only case I encountered that I think was actually real was the one with the guy from LED Apple that had tuberculosis, but who knows maybe some of them are actually ill, but I want proof! Not just : sick, will comeback

'She/he decided that being part of this group/doing music as a career wasn’t what she/he needed’

This one I consider the stupidest of them all! Let’s start with the beginning. The so-called idol really thought that idol life isn’t for him/her! Then why did you train for like half of your life until now???? You wasted all of this time for nothing…We all know that trainee life is as hard as army and when you finally get what you’ve been working for and you just kick it…I always thought that being part of an idol group is a commitment, a compromise. I f I would be an idol I would stay with my group for as long as possible because I know I will hurt so many people if I do decide to leave. It’s like getting married and then having kids.

And the next thing, the company kicked the idol out of the group and used this as an excuse…I don’t really wanna believe that this person right here would leave just like that (and I seriously can’t believe it when half of the group ‘decides to leave’ *cough* Exid *cough*)

So if I made my point clear, I hate when they leave the group, especially when it’s a group I like, it just breaks my heart in pieces. When Kahi left After School I cried for like 10 minutes, even though I’m not their biggest fan and I know that’s what After School does, recently Yookyung left A Pink and again my heart shrunk because they really started to become one of my favorite groups, and I just can’t talk about the Hwayoung scandal as she was my favorite member of T-Ara  and T-Ara being in my top 5 girl groups that I actually cared for…

As for rookie groups…this year I kinda stopped listening to new groups…Why? Firstly I don’t have space on my memory card for more songs, second no time for research and third there are too many… The ones that I kind of liked where GI with Beatles (it was quite cool and I loved the dance), LC9 (mainly because they’re from loen and I trust big labels that they won’t dish their artists) and Ladies’ Code (because there is a girl that covered kpop dances there!!!) But I just listen to their music, nothing else… I may know one or two names from the group but I barely associate their face with it… It , the avalanche should stop…I can give examples of many groups that died in the kpop industry, some even without an official disband announcement. They just disappeared.

Here are some examples that crossed my mind (maybe because these groups promised a lot…or had a funny description):

Swing Girls

Remember them? I bet you don't...

What I remember was that in the article from allkpop they bragged that they had ies! They called themselves the D-Cup group or something…well you won’t impress me with that…

Their debut song…well a lot of autotune and crappy music video…nothing to impress you

New F.O

Everybody bounce, bounce...

Group debuted by 6TheoryMedia so basically allkpop…Can I say I really liked them? I still have their song on my phone and I enjoy it! Their dance was quite good and they were even called the female Infinite….But they never came back…

Their MV was kinda off, but if I were to give them a grade from 1 to 10 it will be a 6, hoping they have time for improvement….

April Kiss

In da bus...wtf?

The female version of 2PM, quite a bold statement…I remember that they had a song called 'Hello Bus' and that it sounded like one of The Pussycat Dolls' song, but their other song was quite good…Again many promises but nothing after that…

And....No music video...Here's a live

Well…This is all for this rage blog! Sorry if it’s quite messy…Don’t get mad, this is just my opinion…And feel free to tell me yours!

And remember : idol life and so does the life of a fan that sometimes puts his/her heart in this crazy world of kpop!
