Appearance : Even though she's president and one would think she wouldn't have tattoos or piercings, she actually does. On her left ear, she has a small piercing that is on the middle part of her ear while on the right ear she has a tiny piercing towards the top. Not only that, but she has a tattoo on her upper arm right on the place where everyone could see of two cancer ribbons entertwined together, one green for leukemia and the other pink for cancer. She got that tattoo in honor of her mother one her 18th birthday and she got those piercings because those were her mother's favorite earrings. 

Style : MaeLin has a very professional air to her, but she doesn't really let that affect her sense of style. She's not a fashionista in the least bit, but she likes to look good of course and actually dresses girly despite her slightly... overpowering aura. She's contemporary with her way of dressing and almost always wears dresses. She's never worn a pair a pants or shorts outside of her dorm room. She's worn skirts with cute and simple blouses from time to time, but it's mostly dresses with a pair of flats. She isn't going to wear heels when she goes to school, that just isn't practical in her opinion. She can manage with heels when it comes to formal events, but nothing more than three inches since she just can't handle anything higher.

→ "Hello, I'm President MaeLin." The first thing people look for in a President for their school, is that person's personality. And May has the personality fit for this job. The first quality that can be noted of MaeLin is her charming and polite way of speech. She's a bit of a sweet talker and knows exactly what to say, how to say it, and when to say it. Her speeches won over the student body, especially with the promise of getting a way for students to find a way to express their feelings of endearment, love, or appreciation. This, of course, was how she came up with the idea with "Spotted". With her enginuity and cunning, she created the underground site as a safe haven for everyone that just wished to express themselves. Of course, what's a president without her secret ways? Her cunning and sneakiness are other qualities the student body appreciates her for. She isn't afraid to keep her promises to the students, even if that meant going against the higher ups.

→ "Don't touch me or you will not live to see the light of day." One thing she will not tolerate is abuse, whether it be physical, verbal, emotion, or any combination of the three. She can be quite violent when it comes to protecting other students, especially to a bully. MaeLin's has a strong sense of justice and will tend to put herself in terrible situations with . She isn't afraid to express herself, and even throw in a foul word here and there, but that can sometimes cause her to receive consequences. Of course, MaeLin doesn't really let anyone touch her, she just doesn't like it when people she barely knows grab her arm or touch her shoulder to get her attention, and she made that very well known. If someone needs her attention, all they need to do is call for her and she'll be right there. She doesn't let a single woman touch her because she's afraid they'll all be like her enemy, just trying to get under her skin.

→ "Kris, Jin, Leo, thank you for everything." Those three with the addition of Taemin are the only ones that see her softer, more feminine side. With them, she doesn't need to be the president that knows everything and can fix any problem. With them, she's a normal girl with normal problems. They've seen her genuine smiles, heard her laughter, and even Kris and Jin have seen her fallen tears. She's safe when around these guys, she's completely herself. May still is mature with them because that's her personality, but she doesn't mind just letting loose and having fun with them. To them, she's not President May. To them, she's just MaeLin or Linnie.

Biography :

Background :

→ "Is mommy going to be alright?" MaeLin was a typical kid growing up. She was a free spirit and lived to smile with the flowers. She didn't have a care in the world. That is, until her mother got acute leukemia when she was five. This was the first time in her life she felt truly scared for anything. Her mother persevered and fought of the deadly cancer, leaving the battle with only scars on her legs. Things were starting to look up. But of course, things just can't stay constant for MaeLin's life. On the day she turned nine, the doctor had told the family that her mother had gotten cancer again, but this time it was stage an aggressive four cancer. 

→ "Come on MaeLin, time to get your act together!" Things never got better for MaeLin's mother. She had passed away in her sleep two months after her diagnosis. The entire Ga family was devastated and they all fell into a depression for a few years. MaeLin lost her childish spark and didn't do anything for a while. Her father was at a loss, only waking up, eating one meal, working, and going back to sleep. There was no interaction with each other or any others unless deemed necessary. Finally, MaeLin snapped out of it. She realized her mother wouldn't want this from either one of them and felt ashamed for her baby-like attitude both held by herself and her father. From that moment, she tried her best to get her father out of his depressed state. After months of doing her best and maturing to a level that was unfit for a nine year old, going on ten, she finally did it. 

→ "Welcome to the Ga family." Their lives had gotten much better for the both of them. MaeLin had matured a lot for her age and mostly focused on school while her father socialized and moved up with his career. His engineering business went from small town to a booming multi-million dollar investment. He became the CEO of the larger engineering firm in all of Korea. He met a wonderful woman through the business, she was one of the best engineers he had. They had dated for a few years and, when MaeLin was 15, he had introduced the woman to her along with her son. For the sake of her father, she accepted them with a smile. They moved in after the wedding when she turned 16 and they became a happy family. MaeLin became very close to her brother and only she knows how his true personality is and visa versa. Now they are attending the school of their dreams together

Lifestyle : The Ga family is very well of. The head of the family owning the largest engineering firm in Korea, it tends to come with it's perks. Each of the kids have their own cars, rooms back at home, even private studies for when they come home from break. The children decided to leave home though and live more modestly in the dorms. They still have their cars but their rooms are much smaller, but cozier in their opinions.

Personality in few words: soft spoken, kind, sweet, warm hearted

How you met: They had met when MaeLin transferred schools once she and her father got out of their depression. They had moved to a new location to start anew, and, for MaeLin, that included making new friends. She had just grown her outer shell or stoic ness and maturity so wasn't exactly keen to making new friends at the prime age of ten, so she stood in the background of her school for the first month. After a while, when she was sitting under a tree just studying her English, Jin got the courage to be the first one to approach her in weeks. It started as a failed attempt with MaeLin on saying she was busy, but he just sat next to her, saying he wouldn't be a bother. This struck out for MaeLin since most of the kids would just leave upon her rejection, but he was different and she could tell. Slowly but surely, this became routine for the two everyday for a two weeks until she finally gave him a small smile as he approaching and greeted him happily. That was the start of their friendship.

How you act around each other: For MaeLin, Jin is one of the three people she can truly express herself around that isn't family. These two smile, laugh, and make fun of each other. When they're just roaming around the campus on an off day, you could find these two normally sitting on a bench just smiling with each other, sometimes getting work done for the student council or just eating ice cream.

Personality in few words: sweet, naive, adorable

How you met: To start off with, Taemin is really good friends with four other guys that are normally all seen together or at least on is with another. On this day, though, Taemin was all alone in the cooking club room. He stayed late because he wanted to make something special for his hyungs and he had finally finished. He had left the club room and was turning a corner when he did, he ran into two men. The one he actually ran into fell down along with him and what Taemin had baked was thrown, but safe in the tin box. The guy scoffed and stood up as Taemin scrambled to stand, bowing and apologizing time and time again. The man wasn't satisfied so he just rolled his eyes and crushed Taemin's tin box.

"Baking? What a pathetic excuse of a man," he said, glaring at the defeated Taemin that fell to his knees to check on the cookies. Upon seeing them crushed and mangled, he felt tears prickle his eyes and felt turmoil overcome his body. He looked up pitifully at the men but only saw a pair of legs blocking his view. Of course it was MaeLin, and she wasn't happy in the least bit.

"The only sad excuse I see are the both of you. Apologize and get out of my hall. Now." It only took those few commanding words from May and they coward like dogs. They may had been bullies, but they still feared and respected the president because she had unbelievable power. They bowed to Taemin and scurried off quickly. MaeLin turned around and let her hard eyes soften at the befallen man kneeling before her. He tried to say a meek thank you, but she just crouched next to him and helped him up. After a quick dusting off of the poor boy, she led him back to the cooking club room and put on an apron. "The names MaeLin, but call me May. Now, what can I do to help?"

How you act around each other: Taemin holds a special place in her heart and she treats him like a baby brother that can't be taken care of, unlike her actual step-brother. She allows him to hug her and call her noona, which no one has ever been allowed to call her. She protects him and he views her as the strongest noona in the world.

How you met: For Jessica, she had first met May when it was the first day of school and they were both coming in. Jessica was on her feet, walking along the side of the road when she saw it. MaeLin had driven to school in a blood red Camero. At first she didn't think much of it and just awed at the car, thinking it was the headmaster and his daughter, but then her jaw dropped when she saw who it was. MaeLin who dressed so simply and didn't react much had pulled in. All of a sudden, students crowded her and complimented her on her car. And to add injury to insult, Leo had exited out of the car from the passengers side, Leo the man who she's had a crush on since the beginning of freshman year. In May's eyes, she had met her in tennis club later on that day. They had been paired by the captain to do a quick set for a warm up. Jessica easily voiced her aggrivation towards her and would go really harsh on her. Too bad for her that MaeLin wasn't the co-captain for a reason. She finished her in five minutes in that single set and felt the need to watch her, seeing as she knew that Jessica was now a rival and possible threat to her highschool life

How you act around each other: MaeLin does what she can to avoid her, not because she's scared, but because she doesn't want to have to deal with someone so petty and jealous. Jessica on the other hand always tries to confront her or challenge her to tennis or whatever else she happens to come up with. MaeLin just ignores her whenever necessary

Personnality :

→ "A-ah..." If there is only one word that could be used to describe Leo, it would be quiet. He doesn't say much and that's what he's known for, well, minus that angelic singing voice he happens to hold. He's a very shy man that never feels the need to give his input unless directly asked to do so. The only person he'll really hold a conversation with is MaeLin and that's because he adores her and wants to make an impression on her. He doesn't really laugh or smile much either making him a fairly stoic man.

→ "W-wah!" One thing people will automatically find out about Leo in the right situation is that he has a huge soft side for cute animals or children. Those are the only things that will bring an immediate smile to his face. He really just can't contain his smile when there's a small dog walking in the park or a small child say hi to him. He also has a huge passion for singing and will always be amazed when he hears someone phenomenal just belt out vocal pieces. He himself has a sweet and smooth voice that would make any woman or man swoon and turn into a pile of putty.

→ "Yah!" The main negative quality to Leo is that he can be quite violent with others. When people annoy him to the brink, he will shove them around a bit of that's what it would take to get them off his back. Of course he would never lay a hand on a woman but men are fair game for him. It doesn't take much for him to get annoyed and most of the time it just takes someone trying to get him to smile or laugh. That will have the person against a locker with Leo's hand wrung around his neck. It wouldn't be gentle, but it wouldn't let them breathe for a second before he'd let them go.

Background : Leo didn't exactly have the easiest childhood growing up. He has three older sisters that are significantly older than him, the one closest to his age being five years older than he is. They were always top of their class and became very successful in whatever field they went into, meaning his parents put a lot of pressure on him. He lost his fun spirit as a child fairly quickly, always striving and pushing himself to be the best. This caused him to be very reserved with his studies and he wasn't able to express himself properly, leading to a small anger issue.

How you met : They had actually met that summer before their final year at the school. They each had been called in to help be student teachers and tutors for those who needed to attend summer school, specifically to help with the Computer Sciences classes. It was two hours before anyone had to be there for the classes, but the teachers had to come in at that time to get there lesson plans in order. MaeLin had been assigned the graphic design class and had walked in, carrying her already-made lesson plan, looking around the room only to find someone else was already setting up the projector. MaeLin cleared , automatically getting the other man's attention as he paused in his movements. Their greetings were uneventful as were the discussions of the plan, although they were each equally surprised to find that they had near identical lessons planned out. They had never met someone so capable for computer graphics than the other and they were thoroughly impressed with each other. Finally it was time for the students to start filing in. They still hadn't had the chance to discuss exactly how they would be teaching the class but they just had to wing it at this point. Finally, they had made roll call, sent the attendance in via their laptop, and it was time to fly. MaeLin had noticed how quiet Leo was when talking to her so she decided to take the reigns with leading the class. Leo was simply amazed at how quickly she took the lead. He was awestruck by her beauty upon his first look, but now he felt butterflies in his stomach as he saw how strong, yet gentle she was with the class and how she spoke. He had figured that she would expect him to speak, since he was the man, but he was definitely mistaken. He had came out of his daze and noticed how she was talking about coding websites, so he decided to quickly bring up a simple coding method as an example. Just as she turned around to use the laptop, she was surprised to see Leo was already typing away. It didn't take long for the both of them to find a rythm during the entire day of teaching. That day, Leo fell in love with the president because of her beauty and leadership.

How you act around each other : They act like they were twins separated at birth. They have a lot of the same tastes in food and clothes, and they're very in touch with each other. They can practically read each other's minds and sometimes they don't even need to speak to know what the other wants. Leo is the only one she'll openly share skinship with, which includes small hugs in greetings and holding their hands if they're in crowded places. Not even Jin or Kris got to this stage in their relationship with MaeLin.

How you want your story to go : Their story should go on like MaeLin carries on her investigation throughout the entire year while Leo stays aloof and just encourages her to keep going. Leo was the first to find out about the mysterious note because he walked in on her reading it in the student council room. It takes her half a year to come up with her first guess and it just so happens to be Taemin. She had seen him write in cursive one day during lunch as like a doodle and made the connection that the "L" was for "Lee". She told Leo and, on the outside, he told her to confront him about it and encouraged her to stay strong, while on the inside, he was a bit relieved that she didn't know since she came bounding over to his room screaming "I know who it is!"

How you want your story to end : It's the last day of school and a few weeks before graduation, yet May still hasn't figured out who's been sending the love letter. Leo is a bit surprised at her downtrodden figure entering the school and immediately is concerned for her. He goes to help her as she seems very much in a daze and had accidentally ran into a pole upon walking to the school. He stays by her side all day and watches as, when she gets to her computer, she becomes more alert and types away quickly. They hadn't spoken a word to each other, but now she feels the need to break the tension. "Leo, I don't know what to do. There hasn't been something I couldn't solve but this guy. This guy has gotten me so confused. They write so sweetly and gently, as if he's afraid his words will be noticed by eyes other than mine. He knows things about me that I don't even notice sometimes. Is it possible to fall for a guy that I haven't even met? He's charmed me with his words and I don't know him at all, yet he knows me like the back of his hand, but it's not creepy to the point of stalking. Today's the last day, and I've failed in meeting someone that I like." With that, she burries her hands in her head and starts to shake. Leo just can take it anymore and gets up, standing behind her chair and wraps his arms gently around her. She looks up abruptly, only staring at the wall with tear filled eyes as her brain starts to make the connection.

"You haven't failed Linnie. You met him on the first day of summer school in the graphic design classroom." 

School Life :

Why are you at Unmyeong : MaeLin chose this school because it truly allowed her to pick and choose what classes she wanted to take. She doesn't have to take a literature or a history because she isn't passionate about those classes. It was something that set this school aside from all of the others. She's goal oriented and only wants to focus on what she needs for what she wishes to do with her life. She also liked it because it has dorms that she could live in and just get away from her family and try to see how life would be like living on her own, minus her brother of course. She needs to get adjusted to the real world and this was the best way to do so.

How is your school life : Her school life is relatively simple. She's at the top of the school and she's a courteous student. She goes to her classes, takes notes, has clubs that she goes to, and has friends. MaeLin enjoys herself even though it gets very stressful with all the things she needs to maintain. Overall she has a packed, but interesting school life.

How do other students view you? :

→ "President May, can you come here?" MaeLin is always been called on for help. She's the student body president for a reason and that's because she's trusted and highly respected amongst the students. They ask her for assistance because they feel she's the most capable to do, well, anything.

→ "There she goes again, all high and mighty." There are, of course, antis towards the president. Mainly it's just one person that heads the small rebelious group. They all see her as a snob that got what she wanted because of her daddy buying her everything, when all they see is just someone they are completely jealous of. 

What do you think of the 'Spotted' page? : She's only commented twice. The first time was the first comment, introducing the page to everyone else since she created "Spotted". The second comment was regarding her secret admirer. She wanted to tell someone about it and, being the president of the school, felt like she shouldn't bother others with her love dilemma. Therefor, she posted on the site to let her emotions out in a short, curt way.

What do you plan to do in your life? : Forensic Psychologist, in short, a criminal profiler working for the FBI. Previously she wanted to become a doctor to research on cancers, but couldn't when she thought about how disappointing it would be to have announce someone deceased when she knows the exact feeling.

✧ MaeLin does certainly use her position to read the publications before anyone else, but because she's there to censor and make sure the spotted isn't mentioning anyone by name, so everything is completely annonymous. She absolutely appreciates everything, it's the posts that keeps her idea alive and she enjoys that this site is trusted by the students.

→ How does she view 'The Computer Wizard'?

✧ She views Leo as her equal, someone she can honestly share an intellectual conversation with and someone she considers a very good friend. Very few people are that close to the president and she let him in with open arms. She also can't help but find him very attractive, seeing as he is her ideal type, but so are Kris and Jin in that sense. She harbors small feelings for him, but her heart is torn between the other two plus him.

The Computer Wizard

→ He is really humble about his grades or is he just guessing and happen to be really lucky like he says?

✧ He's extremely intelligent. Coming from a family of three older sisters that turned out to all make a good living, he learned not to brag about himself but just silently listen to his parents praises towards his sisters. They expect him to become a lawyer or doctor or something along those lines like his siblings and he doesn't want to talk about his classes, since he knows they wouldn't approve of his dream of computer designing and programming.

→ What are the means he uses to send love notes to 'Mrs President'?

✧ He does it very simply by setting them on her desk in the council room. Since the student council room is always open during the school day in case someone has something to suggest to them, he will place them on the president's desk right on top of her laptop, signing it with a small, cursive L right at the place where the envelope seals on the back. Thankfully for Leo, she has no idea that he could even write in English, let alone cursive.
