Family Background
he escaped from an orphanage and stayed at his friend's house for a few months. But when his friend find his singing in the bathroom a lot, he encouraged him to audition at SM entertainment. When you think about him many different adjectives come to mind as many people who have met him always have varying opinions as it relates to his personality. He can be considered very easygoing by most people pretty much at first glance. He has always found that people will like being around him better if he's more laid back and relaxed personality wise. He is one of those people that takes things a day at a time be them good or bad things. Maybe this is why people will often come to him when they're having a bad day because they know he'll always find a way to convince them that their life isn't that bad afterall. This also refelcts his seemingly caring and kind nature which without a doubt people will agree he has. He is always considered that one person you can always lean on and cry too if you ever feel like it. Another characteristic of his personality is his ability to be a good listener and will never complain about having to deal with everyone's sob stories or nagging complaints. He will always listen will a smile regardless of his own personal problems he'll rather listens to others first. This is why he's typically the one that comes off as being the most emotional out of many of his guy friends. However you'll only see this wise deep thinking side of him mostly for show on tv as it'll only make him look good and he knows that. Though that won't stop him from sometimes feeling obligated in situations where people ask for his advice to tell them something in these deep riddles that sometimes don't help the person as much as he thought. He's a people person and it's easy to see that he is people-oriented because he loves to be surrounded by people rather than spend his time alone. He likes the idea of socialization and would do anything for a chance to talk. As someone who grew up in another country he has become somewhat globally-oriented as well. This means he wants people to take notice to other things and places aside from everyday Korean life. He wants to teach others about Japanese culture as well as there tradition and values. Family Background
He was born in Kyoto, Japan to a Japanese mother and a Korean father. He is the oldest between he and his twin brother. While living in Japan he became interested in singing and dancing and since his mother is a vocal instructor it was easy for him to take classes. He spent many days practicing along with his mothers help. He saw that Nayatuwave a recored label in Japan would be holding auditions. After passing then and training for 2 ½ years he was placed in a group alongside 5 other boys. The group after a year sadly disbanded which now allowed him focus solely on school as he gave up on singing. In school he was actually quite the troublemaker as he couldn't help but to talk all the time in class. He did more things like talk and make jokes then to actually pay attention. By the time he turned 17 his family packed up and moved to Incheon, South Korea where they still currently live. He had decided on attending a performing arts highschool again but only because it was the closest school to his house. Being back around music and singing only encouraged him to follow his dream again since he had a new chance. SM happened to be holding there Saturday Open Casting Auditions which he decided to audition for. They seemed genuinely impressed with him and he was accepted.

He was out with Hoya and his brother when he saw that SM would be holding open casting auditions. After talking it over wuth them he decided to just randomly audition for SM in that very moment. Typically just doing something in the moment never works out for him but this time it did. Initially he was actually somewhat nervous but after seeing of the other people before him blow there audition he felt better. He went in there onfidently and at first he just sang but they seemed so impressed that they asked him to dance as well. He is a natural dancer so it was easy for him to do that. After his audition he was contacted days later saying he had been accepted.
His trainee life was no fun memory at all and most times he hates to mention it at all. During his trainee years he struggled some at first when it came to his singing and showing signs of improvement. Many days the instructors would signal him out and make him work a little harder then the others. He understood why but it was always so frustrating for him and even embarassing. For the first 2 years he pushed and strained himself until he finally improvef vocally showing tremendous improvement which everyone took note of. With his new improvement he began to slack off some after getting a somewhat big head at first. By his third year he had been threatened to be kicked out of SM if he didn't take this seriously. So with the new threat he spent his days improving and practicing as much as possible day or night.
