Family Background
Her mother Japanese, while her father is Korean. And actually her father has a son from his first wife but unfortunately his first wife died so he was left taking care of his son alone. At that time he was still mourning over the death of his wife because of giving birth to their first child. Until he met Skylar's mother who was also mourning from the death of her fiancé. Both of them met accidentally when her mother was at France for a photo shoot because at that time she was a model and her father was there for a business trip for his company. Eventually while they were spending time together and comforted each other from their losses they fell inlove and got married after 2 years of dating. Since both were busy with work they didn't had a child at first because they want to take care of her father’s first child which is her mother’s stepson. And on the 2nd year of their marriage they had a baby girl which was Skylar and they were so happy along with a 4 year old Jiyong. And then after a year their mother became pregnant again and it was a baby boy, they named him Yongjin. When Jiyong was about 8 and Jihae/ Skylar was 4 and Yongjin was 3 they moved back to Seoul because they stayed in Japan for about 6 years. Their mother then decided to retire from her modeling career and just became a professional photographer. While their father took over their grandparents company. When Jiyong was about 13 he entered YG ent. to pursue a music career while Jihae applied for modeling agencies when she was 9 years old to pursue a modeling career just like her mother. And after a few years her younger brother Yongjin decided to join her in the modeling industry when he was 11 while Jihae was 12. And then in 2006 all three siblings reached their goal on becoming well known in the industry they are working on. Both Jihae and Yongjin became well known children models at the age of 14 and 13, while their older half brother Jiyong debuted in a group called BigBang under YG ent. And eventually after a few months, news spread about their sibling relationship and people began making rumors that the 3 of them weren't that close and has a bad relationship since Jiyong, Jihae and Yongjin were half sibling with Jiyong having a different mother while Jihae and Yongjin have the same mother. But as the rumors spread their relationship became stronger and their bond was unbreakable. And eventually the rumors passed about the siblings having a bad relationship with each other. Even though they are half sibling they were really close, and supported each other with their dreams. They kept cheering on for the other if they are having a bad time. That's why many people were envious with the siblings close relationship. When Jihae was 13 her brothers label wanted to sign her under their company as an artist and she accepted it along with her younger brother Yongjin and both immediately became trainee's and YG also helped her improve on her songwriting and producing skills. But when she turned 15 she decided to try audition for SM Ent. because rumors spread that she and Yongjin just got in on YG because their brother is an artist there, and eventually she got accepted there along with her brother Yongjin who followed her. YG understood their decision and let them go, because he also wants the two siblings to show the people who belittled them and show them that they got talent and that the two siblings doesn't need connections just to be an artist. Her father recently opened a bar/club called Bliss and has a few branches in Japan and the US. And eventually they will take over the family's business in the future so their father is making them take weekend lessons at their company on how to handle their business and all that. She has 6 tattoos and she also has matching tattoos with her brothers on the shoulder that says "too fast to live too young to die".

She heard about the auditions for SM ent. from her best friend Heechul of Super Junior and she thought that she should try it because she was already tired of the rumors about her and her brother Yongjin that they just got in on YG because their brother is G-Dragon and all that and both siblings were full of it. So they auditioned together and both got in and became trainee's. Their Trainee life was hard because people still say that they have no talent and that they depend on being siblings with Jiyong and that they are just pretty faces. So all the cruel comments kept them strong and that they trained hard to prove all those bashers that they are not just pretty faces but pretty faces with talent....

She was born in Seoul, South Korea. She has a younger sister named Yang Sae Seon who was born in 1997 and an older brother named Yang Yo Seob who was born in1990. She studied in Junhyun for Kindergarten, Unbuk for elementary school, Chungdam for middle school and apgujung for the first part of her High School.
