M.O.T.I.V.A.T.E survey ^~^

-- from E_magine unnie (sorry that this comes out late)

M is for Motivation.

1. Why do you write?
Because I love it. Because it's the way to express myself and allow myself be everything I dream of. Because writing is the only thing I'm really good at. That's why.

2. Would you ever quit writing and why?
I don't think I'll quit. I'll take breaks because I can get frustrated or have writer's block, but I don't think I'll quit. I want to write nighttime bed stories for my kids... if I'll have kids :)

3. What do you look to as your main motivation for writing your stories? (E.g. popularity, you love to write, to thank your idols in a weird way for what they do?)

I love to write and I also want to share this passion with other fellow writers^^

O is for Opportunity.

1. How many fanfics do you wish to finish by 2013?
Probably 5. I don't know if this is possible, but meh, I'll give my best!

2. Which genres do you want to write about but havent?
I actually tried almost everything I thought I could do... so there's no genre I'd like to try again since I found my 'home' within genres :P

3. Have you offered to be a co-author/beta?

If I offered myself to be a co-author? Hmmm, yeah, but it was for a shop^^' If others offered me to be their co-authors? Yeah, but I refused since I'm not good enough to co-author someone... fayt unnie knows it for the best^^'

T is for Time

1. What time do you prefer to write? (in the mornings, afternoons, evenings?)
I noticed something funny about me regarding the time. I'm mostly a night bird, so most of my fics (ideas for plots, actual chapters) come out during the late evening/night and even after midnight... strange, isn't it?

2. How much do you usually write at a time? (A page, a chapter, two chapters?)
I try to write as much as I can at once. Usually, that means one chapter because I used to have school the second day. But during the holidays, I would write up to 4/5 chapters one after another. So it really depends on the time I have.

3. Do you write daily? Hourly? Fortnightly? Weekly or Monthly?

I tried writing every day. And if I couldn't, at least fortnightly.

I is for Imagination

1. Ever feel that something you've written seems cliche?
I feel that all of my stories are so >.<" I mean, I clearly know that my first three stories on AFF are cliché to the core, but I somehow feel that the other stories I wrote afterwards are the same... It's actual my biggest fear when it comes to writing :(

2. What's the hardest scene you've had to describe?

Well, there are hard to describe scenes in all of my stories. 'Michael' has some because they were supposed to describe something that does not exist and I had to figure out a way of presenting my characters in their beastly forms, 'Legendary' definitely has one scene because of the envinronment that I had to describe (underwater world and all the inhabitants), 'A Tomorrow' was somehow difficult to put down at the beginning because the faulty scenes take place in a lab and I sincerely have no idea what kind of gadgets or things you can find in there apart from the microscope.

3. Are you a more of a show or tell person when you write?
I think I'm somehow half-half type of writer.

V is for ity?

1. Ever read ?
...guilty as charged >///<

2. Ever written a scene?
Yeah. And failed miserably >.<"

3. Would you write a pwp? If yes or no then why.

No. Because I don't have the needed experience and I think this is one genre you need to have some experience in the... field^^'

A is for Attributes

1. Name one characteristic that most if not all of your main leads share.
Twisty? Strange?

2. What is an attribute that you have in common with a lead character and why?
The power of introspection. It's definitely something I tend to put into my leads since it's one of my main traits and faulty characteristics. I tend to think a lot about a lot of things regarding me and my own life and so, my characters follow my example most of the times even if it's not that evident all the time.

3. What is a characteristic trait that you see too often in fics?

There are two: the good natured kind of character and the bastard-like character. These two kill me every single time I encounter them in fics! >.<

T is for Technical

1. On a scale of one to five in which five is excellent and one is poor how would you rate your grammar?
A 3,5? My grammar is not that bad (I like to think that)...

2. What's a mistake you make when writing? (e.g. poor sentence structure, lack of descriptive elements)
Oh, lengthy senteces that can be confusing and a lot of typos and misspellings...

3. How do you normally plan your storyline?

I have a writer's notebook for that, where I put down the lines of the plot, the characters' profiles and some random info I want to use in the story. And that's pretty much it, 'cause I'm more of a writer that writes 'impromptu'.

E is for Emotions

1. Has a fanfic ever made you cry?
I'm not the type to cry over movies or books, so no, sorry^^'

2. Has a fanfic ever made you angry or peeved?
Oh, yeah! Definitely! I clearly remember some of those fics that made me smash keyboard >.<"

3. Have you ever been disappointed in the ending of a fanfic?
Well, not really. I respect all the decisions the writers take, even though I tend to complain a lot in the comments and even threaten them (it's an inside joke with kikyjoker :P) but otherwise, I'm pretty cool when it comes to twisty endings. Why? Because I'm a writer that usually changes her mind about her characters or the ending and ends up writing something that might disappoint the readers and I wish they would be like me and respect my decisions :)

4. Have you been disappointed in the plot of a fanfic story and what was the reason?

Not that I can remember. Because I usually study the fic very well before reading it. What I'm disappointed in most of the time, is the way some authors drag their stories instead of just ending it when the right time comes >.<"
