sarcastic: it's kind of something she picked up from Kevin back when she was in Vancouver. He was a bit of the sarcastic type, so she unknowingly got influenced by him. Now, she naturally responds with a clever and witty answer for everything and anything she is asked by everyone and anyone (and since she's relatively smart, she thinks of responses really quickly). She considers it as a "survival tactic" in the sense that the only way to counterattack a sarcastic person is with an even more sarcastic one. Since people like Jongdae and Sehun can't control themselves and their acid tongues, she finds herself often telling them to get their asses back to work in a snarky fashion that debunks all their reasoning for not doing . 

serious: Jiyoung was never a girl of many smiles. She usually has on a slight upward curve of her lips at most, but most of the time she has on her infamous "poker face." Its not even only her face, but her tone also. She usually speaks in monotone,which makes people that don't know her well enough to misunderstand that she is uninterested to what they are saying, and that she's rude and/or disrespectful. She also doesn't joke around too often, if at all, and isn't very easily amused. Jiyoung also has sort of a tough facade going on, since she likes being taken seriously rather than a joke and therefore makes herself seem this way.

random: Everyone knows that she's smart, since she did get into Korea University, one of the SKY universities, which is a pretty big deal. However, there's still a slight language barrier with the native korean employees because she's still not fluent, and still makes a couple of mistakes from time to time. Occasionally she takes in information incorrectly, and subsequently replies with an answer that's completely off-tangent from what the topic is. Or sometimes it's the complete opposite, and she understands what he or she is asking or talking about, but since she isn't too sure about how to correctly answer, and subsequently her answers are rather strange and random. Because of these occasional tendencies, many of her co-workers mistake her as a tad bit "4-D."

 history ⋮ even though she is korean, jiyoung was born and raised in china (shanghai) because of her parents' work. However, since her dad is a businessman, they moved from country to country very often, frequently within months, possibly even in weeks. Because of this, she was never much of an approachable or sociable person since she knew that she won't be seeing them again anyways. It was never much of an issue for her, and she never thought of it as sad in any way. However, when she moved to Vancouver with her family in senior year of high school, she met a boy named Kevin Li, who she ended up dating for a while (but her parents nor sister knew about this) until they broke up and he moved to another country to "start a new life." a few years later, jiyoung decides to move to seoul by herself since she got into an exchange program to attend Korea University. However, with her multiple jobs to support herself and pay for tuition, she dropped college and landed a job in a flower shop, where she ultimately sees "Kevin" as a worker there.

 lifestyle ⋮ Jiyoung works full time at the flower shop, but depending on her shifts she may squeeze in a shift as a cashier in victoria's restaurant. However, that rarely occurs since she decides to dedicate nearly all her time in the flower shop, and picks up a few more shifts than she needs for extra money for her apartment rent. She dropped out of college recently (Korea University) since the workload was too much to balance with her multiple part-time jobs (before she joined the shop) at the time. Her parents and sister currently live in Vancouver, and they seldom contact each other.

 relationship ⋮awkward. There's no other way to really explain it. Well, also the fact that she is the only person who has him wrapped around her finger. He listens to nearly everything she says, and is unable to bring himself to treat her like all his other co-workers. Kris is "whipped" in the weirdest way possible. Why? They used to date way back when she studied in Canada for a few years in the final year of high school. And, well, they didn't break up on very good terms. They avoided each other and deleted each other's contacts, and they thought that was it. But now that she's working here, it's extremely awkward and the atmosphere is thick and heavy whenever they are alone. Their conversations have been downgraded to simple "hello" and "did you eat?" nothing less, nothing more. However, despite this, and their troubling past, Jiyoung can't help but feel the old feelings she had for him to rekindle.
