130510: B.A.P. Live On Earth Concert: Verizon's APAHM Tour

My Experience

Fanmeet & Waiting in Line

Hotel Nikko in SF, where B.A.P's fanmeet was held, which started from 3PM - 6PM, as stated on their Facebook page. Right after school (3PM), I headed off towards SF. I was aware that BAP would NOT be present at the fanmeet, BUT YOU HAD A CHANCE TO WIN A HIGH TOUCH WITH THEM AT THE FANMEET. (A high touch is to just meet them and give them a simple high-five.) Verizon had their booths set up, dancing, trivia, cosplay and also a picture booth (i didn't see a singing competition though) and if you participated in any of those, you receive a scratch card, where it tells you whether or not you won the high touch. I wanted a picture with my friends, so I went to line up for the photos, plus you also get a scratch card as well. After taking the picture, the employee handed me my first scratch card. I playfully asked him for another one and he was quirky and told me that if I stood in the middle of the room and shouted that I loved BAP, he would give me another one. So I really did. I ran to the middle of the room and shouted that I love BAP, because I really do and didn't mind, as the whole room was full of fans anyways. The employee was nice enough and gave me another one, but I didn't win. I participated in the trivia a couple times, but didn't win either. Congrats to all the high touch winners~ I wasn't feeling down about not winning because I'd get to see them anyways at the concert. Standing around, my friends and I waited for the raffle drawing at 5:15. One of my friends and I did the Verizon rewards coupon thing so we were included and received a mystery bag filled with a Verizon BAP shirt, a styrofoam lightstick, and a Verizon APAHM BAP Poster(and its HUGE). When the raffle started, they first gave away a lightstick(?) I wasn't sure what it was, but a lucky person won it. Then they started to giveaway SIGNED BAP One Shot albums! Guess who won the first one? ME. OH. MY. GOD. ME. My eyes widened in shock when they called out my first name and I just started squealing. lol. BAP touched the album that I won. Anyways, I got a Yongguk trading card inside. :3 Oh, there were also table booths for the fandom! I sent fanmail to Zelo, with the help of one of the booths and even got a BAP card ^^ I also saw itsbap and got a free banner from them! Their pins are soo adorable!

Onto the concert, we go! From the fanmeet site to the concert venue, it wasn't far, just two blocks away. Got to say though, the place wasn't very ideal or safe or even nice at all. I already knew before going though. SF is not an ideal place to hold a concert, but I'm very grateful that they've actually come all the way here. I was quite concerned about the safety of the artists, but thank goodness they were all safe. So the line warped around The Warfield theater. When I got in line, I literally was at the parking lot that was directly behind the theater. Let me tell you that the place The Warfield is, NOT safe! Lining up there was hideously bad, but it was all worth it to see BAP in the end! There was a stench(of bodily fluids..ahem) that filled the place, and it was very unsanitary, but it is that part of SF. What do you expect from one of the poor areas of SF? There were homeless along the street where we lined up, but all was good because of security that patrolled the line and vicinity.

I had to line up around one hour and a half before the line really started moving. Because they took so long, I missed Clara C and Jason Chen's performances, but that's okay. The Warfield was VERY nice inside. They were having exchange ticketing inside, where you can switch to the Pit for only $20, it was nice deal, but I didn't want to move myself in the crazy crowd around the desk and I also didn't want to stand. My seat was fairly nice, but I knew that every seat in the house, you had some sort of a view of the stage, which is very nice. I was seated and I talked to the people beside me, and I felt pretty comfortable, regardless that my friends and I were not sitting near each other.

The Concert

Let me tell you that when the show started, the speakers were so loud that I felt it in my chest. haha, I really enjoy that feeling in concerts though. BAP came out with Warrior, and everyone just went crazy!! God, they were like godly, when the screen lifted, revealing the SIX members with the lights shining behind them that they looked amazingly angelic. They jumped from the small upper stage to the main stage area and just killed it. The boys performed with a lot of passion and were really hardworking. I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I SAW ZELO. GAH. They performed four songs together before Yong Guk came out with DaeHyun and sang 'I Remember,' with a slow r&b-like sound, which was really different. Can't really remember what exactly came after that, because I was really riled up and excitedly fangirling. LOL. I do know what they performed, but can't remember the sequence. I know that Yongjae and Daehyun performed 'I Believe I Can Fly' and that really brought me to tears. I tried my best not to cry when BAP first came out and when they sang the first english song, I just couldn't help the tears. I couldn't believe they were standing in front of me and performing for me. JongUp and Zelo performed 'Never Give Up' together and it was amazing! ZELO!! JongUp and Zelo really rocked it with their dance moves, it was really amazing. Then came Bang Yong Guk with his DJing. omg, did he look sooo hot doing that. oh god. Then HimChan came out and he and Bang just killed it with their deep beautiful voices.

Not going to talk much about their performances, because theres just TOO MUCH to talk about! Anyways, they had a talk session, and BAP did their best trying to speak english! Oh my god, was that the cutest and heartwarming thing EVER! You could tell that they really worked on their english for this tour! They did 'body scans' and it showed their profiles on the screen! haha, they were so cute! Oh, btw, Bang Yong Guk's english, it sounds so hot. LOL. Zelo's profile said that he likes english speaking girls...Zelo, wait till you meet me. LOLOL. I can call you oppa all the time.

BAP said goodbye to us through their thanks and with their song 'Goodbye,' but we felt that it was too short so we started to chant encore! And they actually came back!! They sang 4-5 more songs and it just really made my night. When they really said goodbye, I couldn't help but feel sad seeing Zelo's backside walking off the stage. D: It was a terrific concert anyways!

Also, to the girl who was two rows in front of me, I'm sorry, but your waving arm was blocking my view a lot and I had to keep shifting uncomfortably to see the stage. You're also very tall. LOL, but thats okay.

I really had fun and I really do not regret standing out in line for an hour and a half because it was worth it in the end. Thank you BAP, thank you Verizon and thank you, Warfield! ^^ I had a really memorable night!! :D

So the general breakdown:

Location: poor; but inside The Warfield was great!

Fanmeet: proficient; people knew how to handle themselves and employees were exceptionally nice.

Concert: 9869586079856/100 IT WAS AMAZING. ABOVE EXCEPTIONAL. haha~
