Caleb wears whatever he finds comfortable even if it's cheap. He doesn't like things that are too catchy or uncomfortable. Casually, he prefers wearing jeans, V-neck or skin tight T-Shirts and hoodies or leather jackets. He has a thing for biker boots and Converse shoes as well. When active in sports or dancing, which happens on daily occasion, Caleb will always wear track pants and a wife beater or a hoodie with a pair of comfy sneakers. Quiet: Caleb is a mysterious and quiet guy. He appears distant around people and only talks when he has to. He may seem like a trouble maker and a boy with great ego and attitude but in fact, Caleb hates fighting and would avoid any kind of conflict at any cost. Even though Caleb holds that cold and tough façade, he is a very nice person, open-minded and easy-going. He doesn’t give away his trust easily and takes his time opening up to others because he’s afraid of those he loves or cares about leaving him so he doesn’t want to get too attached to people. Therefore, he often concentrates himself on minding his own business as he doesn’t like much attention on him. It may not seem like it but Caleb is very smart and has a good feel for what is right and what is wrong, he just doesn’t like to show off in front of people with how much he knows about things. He’s not a blabbermouth and doesn’t brag about anything. Regardless to his attitude, Caleb is a very polite kid with good manners and respect for others.

Background:
Caleb was born as Joo KangHo in Seattle, USA to a 17-year-old single mother. His father didn’t know anything about his existence until Caleb was forced to move to his father in Seoul under sad circumstances.
His parents were friends since they were children as they first met in a primary school in Seattle. Tony and Hana fell for each other when they were in their freshman year in high school and dated for a while. When he was 17, Tony was scouted on the streets of Seattle and got an offer to become an idol in South Korea. Tony wanted to take Hana with him to Seoul but because his company forbid him to have any relationships as an idol, he was reluctant to leave. At the same time, Caleb’s mother found out she was pregnant with Tony’s child. She didn’t dare to abort the child but she didn’t want to ruin her boyfriend’s career either. So she persuaded Tony to go for his dreams but after he left, she never contacted him again even when he tried to contact her. As her parents disowned her after she decided to keep her child, Hana gave birth and raised Caleb on her own.
Caleb was born with a genetic mutation called heterochromia which basically causes him to lack pigments in his genes. His mother had it, and as a result, he has two eyes of different colours. Caleb was often picked on because of that. Some kids found it interesting but many found it freaky. Growing up fatherless wasn’t easy for Caleb either. He felt like something was missing as he would always see other children playing with their male idol when he only had his mother. Nevertheless, he had a relatively normal childhood. His mother worked hard to provide for him but always had time for Caleb and he respected that. He had friends but only one was his best friend, Kwon Kara.
Unofrtunately, a tragedy took place when Caleb was just turned 13. His mother got into a bad car accident and she didn't make it alive. Caleb was left an orphan. However, instead of being taken to an orphanage, Caleb's mother requested in her last will for Caleb to be sent to his father in South Korea. What Caleb didn't is that prior to her death, his mother was diagnosed with cancer and wouldn't have long to live. Therefore, she made a call to her ex-boyfriend, Caleb's father, explaining the situation to him. To her surprise, Tony agreed to take the boy in, if anything happens to Caleb's mother. Since his father wasn’t into showbiz as much as he was before, there weren’t many problems with scandals about a national Korean star having an illegitimate child. And so Caleb moved in with his father in his small apartment in Seoul, South Korea, changing his name into An KangHo, or Caleb An. However, even if his father accepted him, Caleb felt distant to his father. Till this day, he hasn’t opened up to his father as much yet because even his father didn’t feel close to Caleb. Caleb was smart and knew why they were both distant to each other. His father was afraid of the media finding out that he has an illegitimate child which was born when Caleb’s parents were merely 18. His father spent time with him, making up for the thirteen years that he didn’t know about Caleb’s existence and he was a very sweet and caring father. But Caleb did feel distant to his father not because of the 13 years gap but because of the fact that even though he had a father now, he had to pretend to still be fatherless. Since then, Caleb’s life revolved around secrets and keeping to himself.
Caleb always loved singing and dancing, but when he moved to Seoul, he discovered that he has good rapping skills as well. He would often practice dancing in America and because he did some gymnastics as a child, he found himself easily getting into b-boying, breakdancing and acrobatics. Dancing, singing and rapping were Caleb’s main focus for the next couple of years. When he turned 12, he started getting into underground dance battles in Seattle and again when he moved to Seoul, both where he quickly gained respect amongst other underground artists because of his outstanding moves and friendly nature. When he turned 14, his father found out about his passion and offered Caleb to train under his own company, TN Entertainment. Caleb agreed, figuring he could try it out. He liked it at first but getting a harsh treatment from other trainees and trainers but not being able to tell it to his father, Caleb found himself dropping out after a year and without explaining it to his father, he auditioned for JYP Ent instead. He easily got in and trained hard, hoping to get somewhere in life. However, receiving the same treatment as in TN, Caleb cracked it one day at one of the trainees, Chansung, known as a member of 2PM. Caleb left JYP after 6 months and for the next couple of months, he tried auditioning for many other companies such as Woolim, Cube, LOEN even YG Entertainment. He didn't have any luck, got rejected almost by all of them and Caleb started to loose his inspiration. After a lot of hardships and even thoughts of giving up and just relying on his education in Korea Kent Foreign School, Caleb finally got an opportunity that could help him reach his dreams. When no other but SM Entertainment offered him a traineeship, he didn’t hesitate to accept. One reason, his father used to train under SM. He wanted to prove himself to his father, that he doesn’t have to be ashamed of his own son. His mother knew of his passion for dancing and to become an idol and she always supported him before her death.
So Caleb worked hard, trying to climb on top of the scale amongst competitive trainees. He used fair ways as he worked hard. He made a lot of enemies but met new friends as well. He met Jung Yunho, who was an idol under SM and they became good friends. After only two years of training and eventually graduating from high school, which wasn’t a big deal for Caleb as he concentrated on his training, Caleb was chosen to become a backup dancer for TVXQ themselves. When he started performing with TVXQ, he knew he was close to the stars. His father realized that there was a familiar face amongst the performers and realizing it was his son, he was angry and hurt at first to hear his son was training under SM. They had a big fight which left a great grudge between them for months. But after the accident that Caleb went through soon after, his father let go of that grudge and realized that his son needs his support more than anything in the world.
Caleb had a fascination with motorbikes since the young age. He was always dream to have one. And he couldn’t wait to turn 18 to get a license and own one. He got one as a birthday present from his best friend Kara, who came down from America just for his 18th. He loved it but being inexperienced motorbike driver, a year later, soon after his 19th birthday, Caleb got into an accident and injured his left shoulder, shoulder blade and back. It was a rather bad injury and he had to undergo a surgery which caused him to drop out of SM. Judging that his injury will affect his training and performing with TVXQ, SM kicked Caleb out of the training program which really hurt Caleb as he realized he’s back to the start. It took him a year to recover and start practicing again. He worked even harder to get back to his previous position when he was accepted into TOP Media. His father was going to take him into his company but Caleb refused, knowing his father’s fears and thinking that his father was doing it only out of pity.

Minsoo appears quiet and his charisma may make him look unfriendly but he's not that much of a bad guy either. He may be hot-tempered and when pissed it is hard for most people to deal with him. He's pretty much straight-forward and isn't afraid to express his feelings. Minsoo's quite a charmer and is rather good with both guys and girls but doesn't bother to flirt with every single person he sees on the street. As a leader of Teen Top, Minsoo takes good care of his dongsaengs, being loyal and relyable friend and hyung.
how did you meet?:
Caleb first met Minsoo when he was still dancing for TVXQ. At one of the performances, Minsoo came into TVXQ dressroom with the rest of Teen Top to meet The Gods but instead, he approached Caleb who caught his eye and introduced himself. Caleb was rather taken aback but he didn't want to turn down the handsome man and they got to know each other quickly. They didn't keep in much contact since then, except on the performances, but they met again when Caleb moved to TOP Media. They met again and they started to interact more and they became friends.
how do you behave:
They have this cutesy relationship, almost like a couple. Minsoo is being his charming self often making Caleb flustered. They enjoy each others company, talking about anything and everything for hours and they have their own jokes that sometimes no one else understands. Minsoo likes to tease Caleb sometimes but also admires him and is very protective of his hyung, seeing that Caleb doesn't take care of himself enough. However, they're just friends who share a lot of affection. Caleb loves the affection he gets from Minsoo as they share a lot of skinship and Minsoo enjoys the attention he gets from his hyung. They don't completely rely on each other and Caleb partcilarly, still keeps his distace from Minsoo. He hasn't completely opened up to Minsoo even though the younger encourages him to.

It is clear as sun that Minsoo fell for Caleb first. You could call it love at first sight, but the moment Minsoo saw Caleb in the backstage, he knew he wanted to get to know the other. Minsoo's always there, trying to get Caleb to open up to him but Caleb's lack of self-conciousness represents a very big obstacle for Minsoo to gain the elder's trust. Caleb feels attracted to Minsoo but has always denied himself of any feelings towards the younger as he was afraid that the other might hurt him. He just wants to enjoy what they have for now and not push it any further.
