who said the moon will find the sun?

I look for you
Between rows and rows
Of old vinyl records
Their labels faded,
Artist names disappearing
Through the cracks of
The past and present,
And in the margins
Of old novels,
Their pages worn
And stained yellow
With tea and time
And tears that
Dripped from the
Chin and the heart
Of the writer.

I look for you
In the foam of
Hot coffee and iced cappuccinos
And in the memories
Of bitter and sweet words,
And in the promises of yesterday and tomorrow
And of forever.

I look for you
In the seconds
Between night and sunrise,
When the stars blink their goodbye,
And the moon gives up again
On his search for the sun.
