Today being 1st of May, I'll be leaving as I told you before because starting from tomorrow I'll be reviewing for my national exams that are due to June-July. But since today is 1st of May and LABOR DAY, a free day in Romania, I decided that I will leave once the clock turns 00:00... disappearing like Cinderella, huh? ^~^

So, if you want to tell me anything, ask me anything, now's your chance! *giggles* I'll definitely miss you, guys!

And another thing: I may be online every day, but only after 11:00 pm and only to update my stories and read your blog posts. Of course, you might receive my comment... or not. We'll see. Depends on how tired I will be :)

Now, let's got to those SHINee moments, shall we? Hehehehe, I don't remember talking about SHINee before in my posts except for *coughs*theOnewincident *coughs*, so I thought why not writing down my thoughts on their newest album 'Misconceptions Of Me'?

Sincerely, I wasn't that much of a fan of their 'Sherlock' album last year, even though the beat got stuck inside my head after listening to it more than twice^^' So, I was curious to see how they'll pick up the beats for 'Dream Girl'. The result? I didn't like it. I don't know... maybe the beat, maybe the MV, maybe the lack of powerful dance, maybe the few lines Minho got, I don't know. I don't say I'm hating it (I have it in my phone, so there's no way I'd hate it), but it wasn't my cup of tea :(

And then, when they released the second part, 'Misconceptions of Me', I wasn't that curious to listen to 'Why So Serious?' (am I the only one hat automatically thought of GD?^^'). Until I got to see the MV one evening and I couldn't hide my Shawol feelings ^~^

Track 01. Nightmare - it's definitely my favourite song! I love the darkish, but not that much, feeling it gives and the faint auto-tune, despite everyone being so against the auto-tunning these days. For me, it was the best choice; it fuels the imagination go visually dirty *evil grin* As for the part, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Jonghyun's part! It's just... I don't have the right words to explain how it gave me the goose bumps and how my imagination saw them in a night club, being all mysterious on the stage, while the vampires were swarming around them @.@

Track 02. (title track) Why So Serious? - first though: "I wonder if they asked GD's approval for the line...". Second thought: nice MV set! It's black, it's white, it's colourful, it's funky, it's childish, it has the dance and the lead girl. What more could have I asked for?! Even Minho got more lines ^~^ It's not my favourite, but I love to listen to it since it gives me this fresh vibe of energy :) I felt sorry for Jonghyun since this time he's the one that didn't got that many lines (or is it just me that can't hear him very well?! O.o) Anyway, the song is really, really nice! I love the vocals, the way Taemin really improved vocally speaking and FELL IN LOVE WITH ONEW'S FIRST LINE IN THE SONG, RIGHT BEFORE THE CHORUS *.* But what I like the most about it, it's the fact that they mixed the popish song with the sound of a live band and some lines that are definitely going rockish (Taemin got to pull them quite nice!)

Track 03. SHINe (Medusa I) - the very beginning of this song made me though about 'Love Like Oxygen'... but that though faded away as the song continued playing. I'm still wondering why they chose to give it a second title to the song. But it’s a nice song, definitely Jonghyun’s cup of tea :) What I love the most about the song is definitely the first 28 seconds^^ It’s just… it makes me think of a noire movie, where a woman runs down a street through the darkness of the street. Am I the only one that sees that?^^’

“In the easily forgotten darkness, when I can’t even see where to step”

Track 04. Orgel – not my cup of tea when it comes to the instrumental. Is obsessive and makes me think of a sanatorium O.o And once again, Onew’s voice really stood out in my ears. Of course, Jonghyun’s part can’t be pushed aside since his voice really sticks out through the entire song. I admit, the song wasn’t my favourite, but it slowly grew on me. Especially since they used quite a nice way of arrangement: they made them go through pairing as if they’re having a dialog – firstly there Jonghyun and Minho (I didn’t expect them to go that good together) and then there’s Onew and Key, Key and Minho; the chorus has the same structure: all of them and Taemin replying, all of them and Jonghyun replying, all of them and Key replying.

Track 05. Dangerous (Medusa II) – this Medusa once again *sigh* Alright, so Star Trek, Star Wars, Yoda, Star Craft, Neil Armstrong… a space ship with the name of SHINee?! Something like that… I don’t know why, but this song seems to lack the feelings of the other songs of the album. It feels as if it lacks something… I don’t know what exactly. Maybe is that over-excessive usage of ‘danger’? Who knows…

Track 06. Like a Fire – I sooo love this song! One of my favourites because of the rhythm and the message (it’s sooo cutely cheesy, like a cheesy pick up line :P) But I surely love the staccato from the stanza before the chorus <3 Is soooo… sooo… I don’t even know how to explain the feeling it give me! I LOVE Minho’s singing voice *.*

Track 07.  Excuse Me Miss – now this one definitely brings back the old SHINee sound, which I absolutely love! I like this song for the R&B feeling it gives, even though the title made me think of a overly cute song^^’ Thanks God it wasn’t the case! :P Once again, not only the beat has drew the attention, but as well as the sound of dripping water. It’s cool, don’t you think? And Minho sings, he raps, he acts cool, he gives me the feeling of a rapper lost in the ‘90s when everybody is overly possessive of the R&B sound^^ Also, this song makes me think of a dirty-hot MV… somehow like Jay Park’s ‘Welcome’?! >///<

Track 08. Evil – heartbeat, heartbeat, can’t you hear my heartbeat?! This song isn’t as darkish as the title says, but it definitely went after the trend of the upbeat rhythm. Not bad, really not bad at all! I like it because it kind of reminds me of the ‘Lucifer’ era :) I absolutely loved that song! Coming back to being ‘evil’, I love Jonghyun’s voice right before the chorus… that line was the one that captured my heart to be honest!^^ And Minho’s robotic voice towards the end… pure smex! *.*

Track 09. Sleepless Night – this one had me carried back in time, in an absolute exquisite jazz bar, with dim lights showering SHINee and a live piano to accompany them. Again, Taemin had me impressed with his matured voice. It’s no surprise that Jonghyun’s voice was perfect for the melody itself as well as Onew’s. And Minho’s soft rap… what more could have I asked from these boys?! TT^TT ‘Sleepless Night’ has made it to be my second favourite, so I really advice you to give it a good listen to it when you’re writing angst or a heart-breaking scene ^~^

I wanted to give this album a rating, but then I though “Who am I to rate their work?”. So, I’m asking you: how many stars do SHINee deserve for this new album?^^
