My Confession About Kpop

I just need to get something off my chest.

  • i hate how companies are selling albums with every member seperately just to money out of their fans; this completely lose the meaning of an 'album'

  • YG and SM are the pretty much the same; I don't get why people say yg is better

  • Because of You by afterschool is seriously a good song; too bad the group is mess up now

  • for the people who think g-dragon is a genius or a child prodigy, then please tell me what catergory would Mozart be in?

  • to be honest, snsd and 2ne1 would not make it here in the US; they would still be popular with the americans that like kpop, but that's it

  • JYP got really lucky with Nobody; too bad WG lost it after that

  • SM also got lucky with Sorry Sorry; if I was the ceo I would have a headache with SuperJunior, there is just too much members in the group, not everyone is gonna get promoted, SJ have already had their moment, I don't see how they are going to get further than this ( don't get me wrong, SJ is the most successful group out there right now)

  • sub-units was a great idea; the kpop market is pack, so not debuting new groups is the right choice

  • till this day, I still don't think Gee is a good song.

  • korean award shows are really dumb; what the hell is the PD's Choice award?

  • BAP deserve the newcomer awards more than exo (ps. I don't even like BAP)

  • I really like f(x) but none of their songs are good

  • Jay Park is one lucky man~ Look at him and 2pm right now lol (but seriously, his tattoos are mess up)

  • 4minute show go back to their old style; I really like muzik

That's it for now......

Super Junior. Well if I talk about them I'm afraid i'll get too harsh and offensive (yes i am biased against them). I agree with the excessive number of members in there. None of them have true talent (or so I say) and the sole reason of their success was Sorry Sorry (it wasn't that great either, geez). it saddens me when i hear news that SJ are one of the most popular, if not the most popular, group in foreign lands (especially in like southeast asia, etc).

GEE isn't an awesome song. Almost every k-pop songs nowadays aren't awesome. but it made a success because of the pretty girls, catchy dance and song, and WG's absence, in my opinion.

Jay Park's issue can be seen in multiple ways, I think. 2PM does have a large fanbase (i mean they did perform in the Tokyo Dome) but on the other hand...they're not progressing. Jay Park has more potential but atm not succeeding.

Lol EXO is overrated. I don't see it. Is it the 23 or something trailers that made em so popular, especially on AFF? Their lives , their main vocals are just eh, they're mostly about looks and dancing (the generic SM style). BAP isn't as popular to international fans (but exo and bap fanbase is very similar in korea) but they sure are more talented in comparison. Bang Yongguk come from the underground and has experience+skill. the rest are idols, yes, but i value them higher than exo.

GD... It's not that he's a genius. He's just a better, well, not better, but more able musician than all the rest of the so-called 'artists' out there (yes i laughed at artists). And, erm, isn't comparing GD and Mozart in the first place wrong? Mozart is more than 'genius'... I mean....yeah.

Aha but SM and YG are essentially the same thing. They chase after different music styles but in the end it's all about money. I guess the whole controversy of YG>SM came from where there were lotsa scandals in SM with their idols (HOT, Shinhwa, DBSK, etc) while comparatively, YG didn't have that type of things (i mean BigBang member's scandals are a different kind of scandals that I'm talking about. they're a bit more...personal life?)

No asian would make it well in the US. PSY was an exception, but that, too, was luck. Gangnam style didn't get all that attention because of talent. music video got the spotlight because it was funny. and that's why many say gentleman is just not as good as gangnam style.

I think Wonder Girls would've lasted a bit more if they stuck around in mainland Korea. After the success of nobody JYP got all greedy (or so I'd like to say) and tried to make 'em debut in the US. Of course, they failed, but they lost their title as the best girl group to SNSD because of their long absence in Korea.

I agree with bullet 1-8. But seriously, GEE is an awesome song. If you don't think it is, then you might as well say that snsd is bad too right? I like how you expressed your feeling but I have GOT to express mine. I only like one song of f(x) which is electric shock. But that's it. Thanks for expression your opinions
