G-Dragon then and now.

First and foremost, if you see from my username, I'm a huge VIP fan, and G-Dragon ...was(?) my first bias. I still love him to death now, but...I think I fell in love with the old G-Dragon. I fell in love with BIGBANG, the moment I heard Lies. When I looked up the lyrics, I teared up. When I found out he wrote it, I fell in love with him. I downloaded all Big Bang songs that ever existed. I fell in love with the older songs. They were so good. Now...I don't know. I know there are still good songs like Missing You/That XX/Today that are recent, but G-Dragon has changed so much. I know you have to change, but I definitely know for a fact, that ever since Big Bang debuted, they forever changed K-Pop. And because they changed K-Pop along with G-Dragon's compositions, he, G-Dragon, doesn't need to...become who he is now. I am not saying I hate him now, because believe me I still fangirl over him now, but...I don't know... Songs...that touched my heart, A Fool's Only Tears, My Heaven, This Love, and so much more, have so much more meaning. And what am I talking about mostly? Michi Go. It's a catchy tune. Something I wouldn't mind jamming out to to lift up my mood. When I looked up the lyrics, I don't even know... I thought it was tacky, American-ized, and just not G-Dragon. I know I am in no position to say who G-Dragon is and who he isn't, because only he knows who he is, but I know for sure, there wasn't as much thought put into that. You know how as you get older, you get wiser? Everything becomes more meaningful and deep to you? I feel like G-Dragon is going backwards. As you grow older, you gain more experience and skills. In writing and composition. I'm not sure if G-Dragon is still trying to find himself or if he's just been influenced by someone. All I really mean to say is, I want old school Big Bang back. Wasn't it their unique, meaningful, and genius music that got them the name? Got them to where they are now? I watch many variety shows, and I see many sunbaes in the company had greatly praised Lies. I want G-Dragon to remember his roots, where he started, and I remember when they recently debuted in an interview, he said he wanted his music to be different, and real hip hop. I don't deny his talent for writing, rapping, singing, and any other talent he has. I just want him..to use it the same way he did before. I was sick of American music. The same crap everyday. I can feel G-Dragon is being heavily influenced by American music nowadays. I love Crayon and One of A Kind. Those have meaning to it, it's catchy, and they show his skill in rap. I just want his music to be more unique. Isn't that crazy? G-Dragon himself, to be more unique? I want the unique with meaning, not the flashy unique.

This picture right here shows him right on the spot composing Look At Me, Gwisoon. I believe that was one of his finest moments. The dorkiest, funniest, and that displayed his genius. A song with meaning, popped right into his brain with no thought.

I don't hate him. I don't hate his music. I just prefer the old music. Just stating my opinion. :) Feel free to comment what you think too.

you are absolutely right! these are excactly what I'm thinking. He is changed. I watched so many variety shows he attended between 2009-2011, he was very bright, easy smiling. But then, around 2012.. he is being cold, I seldom see his smile.. I don't know what happen with him.. but I still love him, I just miss the old him..

Exactly!! I fell in love with Big Bang's music and all that. And when i found out he was the composer,i fell even more in love with his talent. But when I saw his last year MAMA award speech...damn.. i was disappointed. His "swaggish" walk to the stage to receive his award and wat? his first words were swag!I noe his all about hip hop but i feel like his been so.. "americanized".
