When I'm Older...

When I'm older, I want to become an English teacher in either South Korea (Seoul) or Beijing (China).

After a few years in one of those countries, I might want to take a break from my work and have a child.

I want to adopt one.

I want to adopt a child with a horrible past so I can help them heal the scars in their heart.

Boy or girl, it doesn't matter.

As long as I can give them all the love they deserve.  Everyone deserves it.

I think love can heal almost anything.

Why adopt a child with a bad past?

Because.

Because I want to make a difference in their life.

They shouldn't suffer.

No one deserves as much pain and agony they must've went through.

And I could be the one to give them all of the passion, love, and kindness they never had.

Every child should be happy.

Every child should have food on their table, warm clothes to wear, a safe home, family, and protection.

Every child needs something special in their life.

And I wish to be part of the special place in their heart.

Behind this Entry:

A close friend of mine, Pam, has had a very scarring past.

Her mother left her at an orphange in France at the age of six, because she could no longer afford to take care of her.

Pam told me she still remembers hugging her mother and begging her not to leave.

All the tears she shed when she left.

Pam stayed at that orphanage for three years until an Indonesian couple adopted her and brought her to America.

Where I became her first friend.

Pam still doesn't know where her birth mother is, and she's still searching for her.

I don't think any child should've had to suffer like Pam did.

But every year, thousands of kids worldwide are being abandoned by their parents.

So I want to make a difference and be part of an orphan's heart and make them happy.

There's nothing I love more than seeing a smile on the face of a child.

And I'm going to make a child smile.
