USA? yes or.... no?

Night.. *sigh*

it had been a very very long day for me, started with a bunch of mathematic problems and equations to be solved, continued with sociology -exercise, just exactly what i don't wish for-, Biology -a group discussion, thank god no more exercises-, Indonesian -speech. ugh-, English -TOEFL, at least something i wanted to do- and wrapped up with an advance math class -which consisted of super confusing things- for my math olympiad. which is tomorrow.

My long awaited weekend.. *sob* i just had to let it go. My math olympiad is tomorrow, also another competition on Sunday (Win1, something like Golden Bell..).

But that's not my point, sorry.. haha just a little rambling. XD

so, there's a scholarship program to USA for... 11 months. Free. (ELEVEN. A YEAR.) and i'm in the middle of filling my registration form (Which is a really detailed stuff, i must say.) and i started to doubt this decision..

Should i register? Because once i'm in, it'll be harder for me to let go of this opportunity. (hell yeah.)

The registration shall be submitted on Mar, 22nd 2013. i still have like.. 14 days to decide.

After i bought my registration PIN, i just found out that it will be a full year program (thought it will only take about.. 3 months or so) in USA and my natural fam CAN'T visit me and vice versa..

I have my doubts ;_;

What about my school? does anyone know about this? about the student exchange thingies...

and my mom seems... idk, she doesn't look very happy with the prospect of me living alone in USA without her for a fckin year... she's just too protectve over her only child *crycry*

And how's life in USA? so far from what i know from my american friends, it's not really different.. but you know, the culture here in Indonesia and there in USA might be reaallly different. *a side note, i'm a home-stayer (?). i don't travel often and i'm soo fckin bad at finding locations and reading maps.

AAAAARGGHH ottokhaeyoo? TT_TT i want this so freakkin' mucch!!!!!!! i want to be exchanged *uhh.. sounds awkward to me, lol*

byes.. got to sleep early, got to wake up early tomorrow T_T

I don't really know. Since your going to the USA via scholarship, I'll bet that your going to school in a major city. Since I live in a really small community, I can't really say how a bigger high school will be like. Like any school, I think there will be fights every now and then. There would also be people doing drugs and stuff. There would be the really nice students that do almost everything, and they're good at everything as well. Let's not forget the most important factor, the lunches. I'm pretty sure no matter where you go, they are horrible to a certain degree. My school lunchs are on the brink of inedible. But my tip would be to learn the slang and meet the right type of friends. Make sure you keep up good grades and join clubs. Just have fun! :D

My school takes in a lot of exchange students and there's a ton of people that will help you once you transfer and if you need help along the way they'll help guide you. And as for schooling, it /might/ be the same like learning the subjects you were studying back home or even possibly new subjects and such. C: this is such a great opportunity!

Where are you planning to go to? What state of the US?

it sort of depends on where you stay, I guess the US is huge and every place is a bit different. I live in the Northeast and I like it but I'm sure it'll be way different culture wise. as for your school, if your coming here to study, I think your credits will be transferable, so I wouldn't worry too much about that, although you should ask someone from the program.

Are you really ready ? That first thing you should consider. I have been several times to US for temporary duty like 3 months or 1 month. Its very nice place. But if you will stay like quite long its tough. The culture is much different. You have to be very independent in any way and any situation. Not to mention extreme weather. Its killing me last time ><
