Wake Me Up
Knowing you should do something
Although, the effort isn't there
You roll out of bed
And wonder why you're here
As you start your day,
You remember that
The person who loves you is there
He wraps his arms behind you
You begin to feel his warmness, but he disappears
Like a figment of imagination
Like a dream that you can't seem to recollect
You realize that no one's there
You're stuck in this one-sided love
You can't seem to wake up
From this never-ending dream.
As it haunts you,
Your indolent state returns
And you make your coffee like always
Like nothing's wrong
Like no one's there
And maybe when you awake
He'll be beside you
But by the next morning, the cycle loops again.
