Family Background:  Seomin comes from a good family, but it is also broken.  Her father is from Busan and lived there till Jaemin was ten and Jieun was six.  Her father left after five years after Hyomin was born. Hyomin was born with a heart condition that constantly has her in the hospital.  Her mother is just a well known designer in Korea, and her family lives in Seoul.

Seomin's father who left after five years  Hyomin was born.  Seomin does not know much about Yongmin because they lost contact.  Her father is a bad man, but not much is known about his whereabouts, but returns when Seomin debuts, and tries to get her to pay for his gambling debt. 

Mother: Song Jieun - 46 - Fashion Designer

Jieun is a well known Fashion Designer in Korea and loves her children very much.  She supports three children in everything they do.  Jieun is more concerned about Hyomin because of her heart condition.  She monitors everything Hyomin does because she does not want her to end up in the hospital.

Brother: Song Jaemin - 26 - Doctor

Seomin's brother is very protective of his two little sisters for different reasons.  Jaemin finds his sister Seomin attractive and often tells her not to wear certain things.  He is against her becoming an idol because he does not want her private life made public, but when he sees how happy it makers Seomin he changes his mind.  Jaemin is also worried about Hyomin because of her health.

Hyomin really looks up to Seomin and wants to become and idol, but she cannot because of her heart condition.  She was slightly jealous when he sister was scouted, but she is proud to be Seomin's sister.  She goes to the hospital a lot to get check.

About The Character:

Personality: Seomin has a lot of spunk, and tough skin.  She is not scared to take risk, and it sometimes gets her into trouble. The trouble she gets into is normally an injury, but she hides them.  She also hides when she is feeling sick because she does not want to disappoint people. This makes her really stubborn.  Seomin can change the way she acts depending on the situation she is in.  She is very motherly and overprotective of the members of Purities. Seomin is book smart.  She is very down to earth, and tried to find the best way to solve a problem so both sides are happy.

Likes: Sweets (it's her weakness), Horror movies, romance novels, Dancing, Singing, puppies, violin, guitar, and cooking.

How were you discovered? Seomin was discovered in New York in Central Park where she was dancing.  She was in New York studying Ballet at Julliard.  Someone from SM came up to her and brought her in as a trainee.  She was not happy there because some of the trainees she must were arrogant an rude.  She left there after a year and auditioned at Woollim and got accepted.

Love Interest: Sunggyu (Soo snuggly looking ^_^)

How did you meet: Seomin is still embarrassed how she met Sunggyu.  She tried to forget the day that it happened, but Sunggyu keeps bringing it up which bothers her slightly  She was dancing and did not know someone was watching her in the practice room and hit him in a spot she shouldn't of.  She is close to Sunggyu, but has yet to figure out her feelings for him. Sunggyu seems to know when something is up with Seomin and it worries him.  He knows about Seomin's sister condition and worries about Seomin's health when Hyomin is in the hospital.

Best Friend: Dongwoo, Lee Joon and Ailee

Rival:  Serri (Dal Shabet)

Why:  Serri and Seomin have a past they never liked each other.  When they were in high school Serri got angry because she said Seomin stole the guy she like.  Seomin did not confess to the guy he confessed to her, but she rejected him because she was to focused on her dance career. When she ran into Serri again she still blamed Seomin for things.  She says some terrible things about Seomin's sister, even though she wanted to punch the girl she did not.  Seomin doesn't believe in violence to solve her problems, but Serri does.  When Serri finds out that Seomin likes Sunggyu she tries to steal him away.
