The Kpop Fandom

First of all, This is a satire. I had to write a satire for my english class and I picked the kpop fandom to write one on. I liked how it turned out , so, i decided to post it on my blog....hope you like it.

The Kpop fandom is filled with some of the most dedicated, psychopathic people I have ever seen in my life. Never have I seen people get mad over the littlest of things and threaten the lives of people who literally live on the other side of the world.

Kpop, or Korean pop, is a very fast growing genre and I see many more fans join the fandom every year. The fandom itself is like a culture within a culture. I could get technical with things, but there really is no point. Kpop fans are psychopaths. They fall in love with bands and devote their entire lives to stalking, protecting, and ripping the head off of people who bad mouth their favorite bands. Never get on the bad side of a sasaeng fan. Sasaeng fans are the worst of the worst. Sasaeng fans are usually teenage girls who show how under developed their minds really are. They will skip school to camp outside of their idols' houses just to stalk their idols for the rest of the day and if they catch you saying something they don’t like, they will murder you in your sleep.

This fanbase is amazingly judgmental of others and will take action that they feel is necessary, which is never actually necessary, to show you what they think of you. The fanbase will break you down as a person. There is really no reason to associate with such people. This fandom will eat you alive, maybe even literally. Never underestimate the power of twenty five thousand teenage girls, including prepubescent children whose love for their favorite band burns with the hot intensity of a thousand suns, and then some. But the airport crowds are the worst. To the point of where the idols, that these people so called ‘love’, are being physically hurt by their ‘fans’.

First of all, the companies of these bands really should invest their money in some proper security. Seriously, you have thousands people crowding around these celebrities as they try to get through the airport. You have all this money and you can’t invest in some bodyguards or even some proper security, instead of using airport staff. The staff at the airport cringes every time they hear a Kpop band will be coming through.

To the managers that slap the fans when they get to close, I commemorate you. I don’t care what others say about it being wrong that the managers hit the fans as they get too close. The fans don’t allow people to walk through. Hit the fans all you want. Show them you mean business. You don’t have proper security, so it’s your job to protect the idols. They’ll learn one way or another. If you even have to resort to punching them, do so. This problem needs to be dealt with and if it means having to knock a few people out, then so be it.
