[SNEAK PEEK] new myungsoo fic-Link, Start

hi hi my lovely subscribers :)
sooo i recently finished Sword Art Online and got a really cool idea for a fic.
virutal reality video games need to be created...like now.
anyways! this fic has the whole concept of a virutal reality MMORPG (a role playing game played by lots of people) and features you and....myungsoo! ^^
cause the main guy character in SAO wore black all the time xD reminded me of myungie

here's a sneak peek ^^
i'll start writing it after i finish How to Love an Angel
ciao for now~<3

"_______________, do you want anyth-"
"No thanks mom," I rushed upstairs, almost face planting on the way up. I felt bad for cutting my mom off like that and pretty much brushing her off but I seriously couldn't wait anymore.

Finally...after 2 months of stalking the official website and staring at the countdown clock, I finally got it.
The new MMORPG game: Infinity Kingdom
As soon as I heard about it on the gamer blogs on tumblr, I preordered one of the 1,000 copies that were gonna be sold one day before the official release date.
And now it's finally here!

I tore open the box and dug through all the packaging peanuts until I finally pulled out a thin, white box with a picture of a castle surrounded by clouds on the front cover. The words "Infinity Kingdom" was written across the bottom in big, red letters.
This was it.
This is the moment I've been waiting for for the past 2 months.
Homework and studying for that test tomorrow could definitely wait.

"Here we go," I mumbled to myself as I attached the special virtual reality glasses to my head and laid down on my bed. "Link, start!"

2 seconds later, I wasn't laying down anymore.
I was floating in mid-air with three big screens in front of me that said, "Welcome to Infinity Kingdom" spanned across all of them.
"Welcome new player," a lady's voice echoed in the space around me, "please enter your username."
"Hmmmmm..." I put my index finger up to my mouth and scowled a bit before putting my hands onto the floating keyboard in front of me and typing in "Melodia."

"Welcome to Infinity Kingdom, Melodia. Please select your avatar appearance."

The screen on the left showed body types (male or female), skin tones, eye colors, mouth shapes, facial structures, and nose shapes. The one on the right had different clothes you could choose from depending on your gender, and the screen in the middle showed your avatar.
I put together my avatar and pressed the enter button on the keyboard.

"Please choose your character type."

The left screen said "Fighter," the one in the middle said "Creature," and the one on the right said "Wizard."
I chose wizard.
Why?
I have no idea.
Something in me was just telling me to choose it.

"Are you sure about everything?" the lady asked. The second I pressed enter, the screens parted and the darkness that surrounded me dissolved into thin air, replaced by a bright, blue sky dotted with a few clouds. I had to shield my eyes from the sun as I fell downwards, my turquoise pigtails flying straight up.
"Wait....how the heck do I stop falling!?" I yelled, looking at the ground get closer and closer with every passing second. "Lady! you never told me how to land!!!!"

I closed my eyes, waiting for the impact and the pain that comes with it, but it never came. Slowly, I opened my eyes and looked down.
I was floating a couple inches from the ground for a couple seconds before gravity turned back on and I crashed, belly first, onto the ground.

"Wooow..." I picked myself up and brushed off the dirt from my skirt, "the game makers are trolls....just great."
"Nice landing," someone said behind me. I spun around, hands extended and ready to attack, but no one was there.

What the heck...? o.O

"Up here," the voice called out again. I looked up and saw a tall, lanky boy with a boyish face squatting on a tree branch above me. "You're new to this whole thing aren't you?"
I felt myself blush, "N-no. I've played over virtual reality RPGs before."
The boy jumped down, shaking the arrows in the quiver on his back. "I mean new to this game noob."
"I...well...isn't everyone technically new?"

He chuckled, "Woooow...you must be REALLY new."
If he says new one more time, my foot is gonna find its way to his crotch.
"Ahhhh sorry," he said after he stopped laughing, "I love confusing the newbies. Your faces are too funny."

Haha.
Real funny.

"So you think playing for a few hours more than me makes you an 'experienced' player?" I retorted, giving him a death glare. For the first time since I've met him, he looked serious.
"I wish it was only a few hours," he sighed, "but it's been a whole day."

A whole day?

"Why don't you just log out?" I replied, giving him a confused look. He sighed again.
"Trust me, I would if we could. But we can't."

Wait.
What?

"We can't log out?" I felt panic hit me hard as I swiped the air with my index finger, making the main menu pop up in mid air. I scrolled all the way down.

The log out button wasn't there.

"What's going on?" I looked at him, expecting him to give me a legit answer. He just shrugged.
"We don't know. Maybe it's some glitch in the game. Either way, no one's really made a big deal about it so people in the real world have no idea."
"Wait....you said we."

The guy nodded. "The people in my guild and me," he responded over his shoulder as he started walking towards the town, "Wanna meet them?"
"Why would I wanna meet them?" I said, as I slowly walked towards him.
"Cause," he stopped walking and waited for me to catch up, "being alone isn't any fun."

It took a couple minutes of walking to get to the town. In that time, I learned that the guy's name is Sungyeol, and he's actually from South Korea.
"Ohhhh, so that's how you've been playing this game for a day," I nodded slowly as we entered the town square.
"Yeah. Since you're from America, you're one day behind us. When the game came out over there, people were already playing it over in Korea," Sungyeol said. He was standing on his tip toes, scanning the crowd as if he was looking for something.

Or someone.

"Yah Lee Sungyeol!"
I turned around and saw a group of 6 guys walk towards us, each of them dressed in different black colored outfits. The one that called Sungyeol's name was waving at him.
"We were looking everywhere for you dude," one of the ones in sleeveless, turtle neck said as he gave him a light punch on the shoulder.
"Yeah," the other one in the turtle neck added on, "yo you can't be going out there by yourself like that."
"Dongwoo's right, Sungyeol," the guy with straps criss crossing down his arm said, looking from me to him. "We have to be careful until this whole logging out issue gets fixed."

"I guess..." Sungyeol shrugged. I glanced at him then back at the six other guys. Honestly, they weren't all that bad looking. One of them was probably prettier than most girl I knew back at home, while the rest of them would've made them melt. Especially the guy in the very back who was slowly making his way up to Sungyeol.
"Sungyeol," he leaned in and whispered into his ear, "who's the girl?"
"Oh sorry," Sungyeol jumped a little before grabbing my shoulders and moving me towards the group of guys. "Guys, this is Melodia. She's from America!"
"Nice to meet you," I smiled, giving them a little bow.
"Nice to meet you too," they all said at the same time, each giving me a cute smile.

Except for the guy who whispered in Sungyeol's ear.
We just stood there, staring at each other as all hell broke loose around us.

and that was pretty much the entire first chapter of Link, Start xD
in case you didn't catch up on it, you know how to speak Korean lol
and i know, there's a Kingdom Hearts game with the name extention Infinity Kingdom but the game in the story is made up and anything that may be similar is purely coincidence.
sooo with all that being said, what do you guys think of it so far?
