Accused of plagiarism?

 

So someone accused me of plagiarizing them with my fic "The Other World," because their fic that they posted last summer was called "The Colony" and was dystopian/post-apocalyptic themed.

That is where the similarities end.

No I'm not even kidding.

I've never read their fic before (I don't even know who this person is) so I went and checked it out, and there are literally no other similarities. Sure it has EXO in it, but it also has BAP and is done in a completely different setting with a completely different plotline, and honestly I don't think this person really read any of "The Other World" at all. They must've just seen that the first chapter was called "The Colony" and that it was dystopian/post-apocalyptic and immediately thought I had stolen their idea.

Yep.

So that was my day.

i mean, you need to have ACTUAL proof that there was plagiarism committed when you accuse someone of it... and according to what you just said.... there's... nothing .-.
There can only be so many titles for a fic LOL.
because, seriously. you have no idea how many fics are titled the other world and are post apocalyptic out there. not just for the EXO fandom, but for the entirety of kpop fandom.
