↷ personality: meet mika. the girl everyone wants to be friends with. why? one look, and you'll be entranced. it's just the aura she gives, mysterious, with that engimatic smile and feminine yet powerful charm. she just looks friendly, but don't let your looks fool you. mika can definitely be a bit of a , and that's just when she doesn't like you. when she does like you, prepare yourself for some sarcastic comments, because mika isn't afraid to speak her mind, but she usually holds her tongue. in school, she stayed away from the in crowd, mainly because she was a foreigner most of the time, but it wasn't the language barrier that drove her away. anamika kapoor thinks she's better. why? because she may be. she's pretty, rich, hot, smart. mika tends to drive away people. as a girl, at her school in new york, her brother was often made fun of for having two fathers, so mika immediately cast off everyone as ignorant and drove away everyone who tried to befriend her. she sort of built this wall between other people and herself, and it got easier being on her own as they moved from place to place. she didn't need the place's people, she thrived in their culture. mika loves change, and thrives in it, and she's a very worldly person, knowledgeable and open minded. 

it's not that she's not a good person, she tries to be, well to most people anyways. she's rather closed off personally. she knowns she's different, she's always been. the girl with the gay dads in a school full of sons and daughters of perfect doctors and lawyers or kids with wealthy divorced parents, she was the only adopted one, and with her brother to be singled out at that, it made her have a bad perception of most people. she kind of looked into herself as a friend, and drove other people away with her snarky comments. she doesn't deny being a , she says it herself. it's just her cold icy exterior that you have to get through. although mika is a people person, she likes being around people, she does like getting close to people, people finding her out. she hardly hangs out with the same people a lot. once she starts to really get close to people, she stops seeing them, and lessens it over time to distance herself, because she's never really had any close friends, so it's difficult to make that bond now. mika is a strong person, independent, doesn't count on anyone, but she's not hard headed, she knows when she she needs people, and doesn't push them away to help her, but only pushes them away emotionally, it's always strictly business at work, with occasional socialization, but only to get to their good side. as soon as it gets too personal, she's done. she's not necessarily a loner, but she's not "in" a crowd either, you see her with people, but they're not really with her. anamika needs to be grounded and really see that getting close to people is not all that bad. maybe this bad will bring them all close together and she'll be more trusting with her heart. it may be a rough start with all her snippy comments and brushing people off, but maybe they can all help each other adapt to their changing environements and really come together.

Mika isn't your typical prep school girl graduate, oh no sir. Her life started out uniquely and continued on that way. she was raised as a little girl in a church, under the name Ana, the Christian name given to her by the nuns there, a shortening of her own birth name, Anamika. She was 4 years old when she was adopted by a couple in New York, and off she went, and along with her, a new baby boy from the church, Nick, or his birth name, Nikhil. They both were adopted by a wealthy gay couple in Manhattan. Mika was never a typical girl then, and nor was she now. She was brought up much more differently now than how she was with the strict nuns, now Mika was free to explore, as her fathers encouraged wordly knowledge and supported both their children in anything they wanted to do. Her fathers were both artistic, intelligent men, Niel Kapoor being a professor of literature, and Aaron Kim being an interior designer. Her and her brother Nicky were sent to have the best education at The Dalton School. She excelled there academically and extra curicularly along with her brother, whom she considered a real brother, until she was 10 and Nicky was 6, that's when the moving began.

Niel, or whom she called Appa, calling Aaron Daddy, was also a writer working on a fiction novel, and decided to move to France for his sabatical. And so, they packed their bags and moved to France, where after spending a year, they decided to stay and they continued their lives and Nicky and Ana lived in Paris for one more year. When she was 12, they moved once more, this time, moving for Aaron's job, as he had landed a huge client in Spain, designing a large mansion for a wealthy Spanish actress. They lived their for 6 months before once more moving, this time, to China, Beijing, specifically, for 2 years, again, for Niel's job, as he had taken a 2 year research into ancient Chinese literature and philisophy. They moved to Korea, in order for Aaron to take care of his mother, and there is where Mika truly thrived. She had always loved culture, especially her own, but actually living and breathing Korean air was wonderful for her, and because Aaron's mother got to see his beautiful, intelligent daughter and hardworking son, she accepted her son's uality before she passed a year later. Next, the family went to Japan, Tokyo specifically for two years, before taking time off work and moving north to Hokkaido for a year and a half. By this time, Mika had just graduated high school, and they were moving back to New York. Just the first two weeks back in the States made Mika realize she really wanted to live overseas. Her fathers and her brother were apprehensive at first, and thought she should work on her education. So she did, entering Stonybrook University at age 18. After three years of that, she couldn't sit still anymore and transferred into Seoul National University as a design/fashion major. 

Music was always an important part of her life, joining the church choir when she was a little girl, and then listening to her Appa's classical music records, and moving from country to country, she emmersed herself in their music, both pop, folk as well as other genres. The first instrument she learned was actually not the guitar, but was the violin. She started at age 7, and after two months, she hated the high pitched noise, and the conventionality of it, as practically all the kids playing the violin in her lessons were south or east asian, so she switched to the cello, which she loved. from there, she took piano lessons starting at age 8, and thought it was helpful in learning the cello, and also performing, but her true love is her guitar. she first played one when she was 9, and the fact that she could just play without any sheet music or any template was wonderful to her. abroad, she'd often see street performers so one day, when they were living in China, she decided to try it, and sure enough, people liked her renditions of chinese pop music and she got a lot (a lot for a 13 year old kid) of money doing it. she did it occacionally in Japan and a few times in Time Square, and now she does it often in Seoul. she can still play piano and cello, but she loves her guitar most. she also sings, and quite well at that.


Niel (Appa) Kapoor // 48 // father // a kind, intelligent man, definitely a bit more quiet than his better half. close to both his children, but more of a fatherly figure to mika, who looks up to him. is usually busy with work, but always makes time for his children. wrote a bestselling novel, based loosely on his own life called, "delhi heights" which is about a homoual indian man living in new delhi and how he gets through life before ultimately telling his wife and family about his reality. one main difference is that he's lived with his uality since a long time, which his progressive thinking family accepted well. he moved to new york at the age of 9.

Aaron (Daddy) Kim // 46 // father // a caring, sweet man, a bit more outgoing, but also more sensitive than his male partner. close to both his children, slightly more to nicky than mika, who he sees as his little girl grown big. he's very happy that she's majoring in design, and also living in his home country. his family, however, wasn't so accepting of him when he decided to come out, at the age of 20. he moved to new york when he was 9 months old with his family, and then stayed with his aunt and uncle while his parents moved back home to seoul when he was 15.

Nikhil (Nicky) Kapoor // 17 // brother // mika's adorable little brother, the nicky to her micky. he's a quiet and intelligent boy, and a bit sensitive, opposite of his outspoken sassy sister. they love each other as much as any real brother and sister do. he's currently still attending the dalton school and is debating whether to go into MIT or Brown University, into either engineering or medicine. mika calls him "smarty pants" all the time and the two talk constantly, either video chat, text, or snapchat etc. 

↷ lifestyle: right now, mika lives in a nice home in seoul, which is near seoul national university. it's a fairly nice, and sort of expensive, and is actually the place where they stayed in their stay in seoul for a while, so it's a three bedroom, two bathroom, full kitchen/dining/living room set and it's pretty sweet, especially to be living alone. she loves it, and it's already been bought by her dad Aaron, so she doesn't need to pay rent or anything. she works part time as a co-manager of this boutique called "StyleInc." which her dad designed a few clothes for when he used to design clothes, not houses, so she has a pretty big say in that too. she's fairly entitled, once you think about it, but she's determined to make sure she doesn't slack off, just because her dad is a big name there. she lives comfortably, making nice pay while still attending seoul national university. she's got a loose schedule, as she's focusing on her major, just design as her general classes are now done with. if the band would like, they can practice at the house which should have enough room for all of them, or they can even convert the garage or one of the rooms to be their practice room! mika's bedroom.

↷ personality: i suppose opposites really do attract. not that mika and jonghyun are complete opposites. while mika feeds off of her fathers' livelihood and wealt, as she feels she is entitled to, jonghyun fulfills filial piety, taking care of his parents and living on his own and making them proud on his accord. although he is humble, it doesn't stop him from being the B in CN Blue. burning, burning passion, everything that jonghyun does has passion, his puts his all into it, as he's an incredibly hard worker, and talented as well. composing and writing music that become hits, even in his trainee days, it's something he's done, but something he'll never flaunt. he's got those boyish charms about him, that in between manly but not quite a boy thing about him, that makes him to enticing, especially to mika. he's quite possibly the ideal lover. he knows people, he can read them well, not just the surface either, but the person inside. sometimes his accuracy is scary, or unnerving, as it is to her, and he's very understanding too.

he's a definite people person, but not only does he love being around them, he loves understanding them, he's a genuine sort of guy. he's a great listener, and honest, sometimes painfully so. he's not blunt, but he gives you the truth when you need to hear it. he's also a great charmer, maybe it's that smile, or that stoic look, but it's only a look, he's truly a great guy. his smile will make you want to smile, his laugh makes you want to laugh, he honestly makes you want to be a better person. his gaze is intense and makes girls melt, even ones like mika. it's the way he says your name, not only does he make you feel special, for that one moment, you're the one in his gaze, and he truly cares. that's lee jonghyun for you, caring, yet real, not one ounce of fake; the burning of cn blue.

↷ relationship: jonghyun/jungshin acts very comfortably around her, whereas mika at first is very snippy and snarky, especially the first time when he asked if she wanted an autograph or picture, as she saw him as mistaking her for a fangirl. she hates how he can see through her, and he acts as if he's her closest friend because of that. just because he can see she's in need of help doesn't mean he has to be the one to give it, but him being the way he is, he manages to win her over, by starting to hang out more and more, he eventually sort of gets inside her head, he sees things about her, quirks, things she likes, things that make her upset. he's fine with her family history, as messed up and funky as it is, he admires her in a way, he sees her need to change, he accepts her, and once she sees how well he knows her, and how he's not going to hurt her, she'll accept him. meanwhile, she'll be a bit annoyed with his constant visits to the boutique, but will appreciated them sooner or later. he likes her sense of adventure and will often do places with her, in disguise of course, and he'll teach her the ways of korean culture, like, legit korean culture.

↷ how did you two meet? as mika works at a popular and affluent clothing boutique, it just so happens that StyleInc. is one of the sponsors for CN Blue, a band mika happens to be a fan of. never a fangirl, a fan of music. she delivered the clothes and even got to say hi to the boys, and she complimented them on their music, and when jonghyun/jungshin asked if she wanted an autograph or a picture, she declined, which may have come off as rude due to her cool and suave nature, as if she were downplaying them. jonghyun came by two days later to return his jacket, which was stained, and asked if he could be cut some slack, but mika wouldn't let up and said he'd have to pay for it, doesn't matter if he's famous or anything, and jonghyun laughed at what he called her "sassy facade" and gave her tickets to a cn blue concert instead, along with backstage passes. from there, they met more often, especially now that cn blue insisted on getting their clothes from mika's boutique.

↷ personality: this kid is exactly that, a kid. there is no one else who will derp around more than him. he's childish, stubborn, annoying at times, but hella adorable. it's no wonder girls can't avoid his boyishly cute charm. he's a grown boy, an adult, but he chooses not to act that way. at all. he whines, he does aegyo, even his fellow band members are subjected to this behavior. he's honestly a boy living in a fairytale world. he does a flower boy smile, and the ahjumma at the food stands gives him a discount. he smiles at the girls, and sure enough, chocolates for kyungsoo oppa. even the noonas aren't safe from his charm, he's gifted clothes, all sorts of presents, just for looking cute. just because of this, he thinks he can get anything he wants, which is sort of like anamika herself. just a slight wink and a smile isn't enough to gain the attention of the apple of his eyes. he's oh so stubborn, and won't give up anything. if he wants something, he wants it. don't be fooled though, behind that cute face is a slightly more sinister and super clever boy who knows how to wrap people around his fingers to get what he wants. he's not completely manipulative, he's still innocent, but he knows how things work.

he's not a bad person either, he's just so used to getting what he wants that he can't help himself. he's also slightly clumsy, bumping into things and whatnot, but it sort of adds to his cuteness. his aegyo seems fake sometimes, but he's exceptionally good at it, and his naturally good looks don't help to those who are targetted. he's a serious musician though, which is admirable through his guitar playing (or whatever he plays) and his singing. his sweet voice melds into a beautiful melody that will leave you entranced, and then his cute blinking will make you go "awww~" completely ensnaring you into the trap that is do kyungsoo.

↷ relationship: mika is one of the very few people who can resist this boy's cute actions. she calls him "kid," and rejects his advancements openly. kyungsoo was immediately infatuated by this foreign tan, gorgeous noona who he fell for immediately. she may be snarky, but that's why he likes her. instead of using his charm to get stuff from her, he tries to win her affections, and repeatedly does so, even to the point of interfering with her and her love interest. kyungsoo is a very clingy sort of person in general, and the deer in headlights eyes don't really help to those trying to resist his entrancing adorableness. mika eventually gives in and warms up to the kid as a sort of kitten under her care, and sort of sees him as a doll, something to entertain her. kyungsoo mistakes this for returned feelings and intensifies his interference between her and her love interest of choice. she never gives into his aegyo though, for sure. he follows her around like a puppy, even after being rejected to his face several times, and then later when they're closer, being friendzoned repeatedly, he still continues pursuring his "mika noona." he's very touchy feelly with her, and mika doesn't really mind, as she sees him as one of her other kittens.

↷ band name suggestions: um..... maybe we could go on a play off of the beatles, like, the b-tells? no... hm, or we could do the same for cn blue, like cn silver (or any color with six letters), and make each letter as their trait (like mika would be vivacious or something)  i also like shut up boy (like from miss a's bad girl good girl) or something like track 1(or track 6 because there are 6 of them!), or artist, which would be funny, like, if they were ever to get famous, then they'd be looked up by "random song by artist" or "cn blue cover artist" i guess you could use it for the boys as well, but i like exo for them too.

↷ scene suggestions: definitely a scene of kyungsoo nagging her and tugging at her arm with jonghyun/jungshin getting annoyed at this "kid" for touching his girl. maybe one with jonghyun/jungshin takes her to meet his mom, like, with a formal hanbok that they bought together so she can have real korean food and stuff, that'd be cute. and also, i'd love it if mika got close to the band members, and when they start really getting to know each other, mika sees that they're really great people, people she likes, and who accept her for who she is, flaws and all. and a big scene where the band members/love interest find out about her two dads, and that she's adopted, because she hides that, and they really don't care, meaning they're fine with it and she sees that it's not a big deal.

↷ comments/questions: well, first thing, mika's the only foreign, like, non-yellow applicant (so far!) so i hope that it's okay, but i really liked what i came up with her character, as difficult and confusing as it is, i hope you like her! i worked really hard on this application, and it's my first actually. i hope i did well! and the formatting got a bit weird after i did in school, so i'm sorry for that, i hope you'll understand!
