relevant to many stories

this post

which is so true. the highschool!AU stories are more of what Western schools are like. ironic. the characters in the story supposedly speak korean and say tiny phrases like, "anneyonghahasoeoeoasudifsdn" when your character is in a western setting when they're supposed to be in eastern ones is just odd and it doesn't make your story realistic.

btw, i don't mind hyung or noona, stuff like that, but when you insert korean phrases in there to show your extensive knowledge of korean. don't. same with titles being in korean but the story is in english! idk just some pet peeves, any thoughts?

I live in Singapore which is technically within Asia so the post you linked is nearly entirely correct. Where I am. personally I find western settings very interesting because i never get that here... nonetheless! I agree that using a asdlkfjhging load of korean is very annoying.

BUT THEN THIS IS FANFICTION
so
i guess we all have our own opinions

then again it would be awesome to read a highschool!AU ff with the proper Asian setting

and it's totally balls because to get to my class i have to climb 6 flights of stairs
