species ; nixie/nixy (mermaid family) - a nixie is a female water fairy (no wings) in the form of a woman in german mythology. they usually reside underneath lakes, rivers, or ponds where they inherit houses filled with riches and build great palaces. as shapeshifters, nixie appear as a normal female human when they surface. they are also able to appear as a fish, a mermaid, or can become invisable. nixie are able to cause rain storms when offended and use their beautiful music and exellent dancing to lure individuals into the water so they may kill them. they are also able to fortell the future.

personality ; in contrast to daehees' species as a graceful water fairy, she is actually unorganized, daring, carefree, lazy, and a total party-animal. she doesn't care much for her powers and she usually wishes to be a normal person for once. daehee is tired of living a life of a being that is so different from other human and she often tries to think that she's not any different from them. she isn't very fond of her life outside of partying. she rarely ever practices or uses her powers nor does she care about ever getting better at them since she deems them as useless and stupid. she tends to be overly carefree even at the most unessasary times to do so. she responds with "i don't know" or "i don't care " with mostly anything and has terrible grades in school because she's just too lazy to share her knowledge. she is actually very intellectual but just doesn't want to accept that she is. almost everything she owns somehow gets lost or stolen sooner or later and she's often too lazy to do anything about it. she often questions herself to why she was born as a nixie when they can't do anything interesting except for telling the future and making music that helps you kill people. at night, she usually sneaks out and goes clubbing using her fake id. there isn't anything that she's afraid of in the human world which is another reason why she wants to abandom her supernatural life. she's a total dare-devil and doesn't hesitate to fall into peer pressure on purpose just so she could impress a couple people. daehee is the type of person who would rather keep all her feelings absorbed inside of her. she never shows a melancholic side to her nor does hell break loose when she's mad. she is rather emotionless if you were to describe it and she'd rather deal with her problems herself rather she let someone else pretend to care for them.

history ; daehee was brought to the human world as a changeling, meaning her real mother stole a human baby and replaced it with her. daehee's human carer was, ironically, a high school greek mythology teacher and gladly took her in until daehee was old enough to return to a nix palace. when daehee was ten, a male nix named wyn attempted to abduct her human carer but, instead, came across daehee and took her to his palace instead. daehee was enrolled into a different school with different responsiblities underneath the care of wyn and his wife, teragita. more pressure was put onto her since she had never practiced her powers and needed to catch up to the rest of the nixie at her age. she soon got tired of the extra responsibility and began sneaking out of the palace more often than she was supposed to, only coming back if she needed to be moistened by the water. she was often punished whenever she came back but she never learned her lesson. it was said that changelings would have a different behavior compared to the other nixies but nobody ever expected someone like her.

even though she tries to forget everything about her supernatural form, she has to admit that her favorite place to be is by the water

supernatural trait ; since nixies are known for shapeshifting, daehee is able to turn into different aquatic figures. her nixie tail, or mermaid tail, looks something like this. while her fish form is a little different yet the color scheme is similar. and of course, she has her human form, where she has slightly pointer ears and slightly dysfunctional toes. She also has her invisible form which is pretty self explanatory.

extras ; daehee has both ears pierced. she also sports a bellybutton ring. as for tattoos, she hsa a quote on her lower back written in script, "water does not like to be restrained".

siblings ; n/a

other ; wyn and teragita are what she calls her 'adoptive parents'. in a nix palace, respect is valued very much and daehee doesn;t seen to notice that. even though a nixie is supposed to title her parents as ma'am or sir depending on where she lives, daehee simply calls her parents by their name. other than that, she finds her adoptive parents very patient and understanding. even though there are times where she feels as if being with them isn't a 'perfect escape', wyn and teragita somehow understand

family history ; daehee has never seen her true parents before. she doesn't even know if the palace that she lives in is the true home of her biological mother and father. she says that even if they end up finding her true parents, she won't leave wyn and teragita behind and will blame her parents for giving birth to her and abandoning her. even as she was living with her human carer she believed that her parents never truly cared for her.

best friend ; despite her supernatural form and her rather odd personality, she does have a best friend. one night, she snuck out from the palace and decided to go escape to her favorite club in central seoul, the kiss. as she ordered a drink from the bartender, he somehow noticed her slightly pointier ears hidden underneath her locks of hair. "another reject, huh?" he said to her and they began conversing the entire night. his name was soojae but was more commonly known as jae. they shared similar stories as changlings except he was a sea-sprite. her never really appreciated his powers or appearance either since he was actually a full ten centimeters shorter than daehee and had ears that were twice as pointer as hers. he was often called 'girly' since he had more curves than a normal guy. they get along pretty well and see each other often.

friend ; the only other true friend she has is another nixie, yurim. yurim is a total 'goody-goody' type of girl and has no interest in anything but being he perfect nixie. daehee met yurim in nix school and was totally impressed at her powers. yurim was interested in daehee because she was the first changeling she has seen in her life. although they have opposite attractions, they do get along as friends.

rival ; propheseous, the emporer of the daehee's palace. he constantly nags at her about her 'wild' behavior and tries every possible way to prevent her from sneaking out of the palace. he always tries to threaten her by saying that the gods will punish her in her afterlife but in the end, he just ends up getting hurt. there were a coupld times where propheseous actually threw her into nix juvenille prison for a few weeks.

love interest ; jung daehyun

species ; enkanto (also known as a diwata for females) - a form of a dryad and are benevolent and bring postive crop growth, health, and fortune. they are able to create illness within a being if treated with disrespect. they are said to reside in acadias or other large trees and are one of the guardian spirits of nature. they are able to cast blessings or curses on those you travel within the forests and mountains depending on how they treat the environment. male enkantos reside primarily near the sea and other water environments.

personality ; daehyun is actually a very talkative and outgoing person. he isn't afraid to say, "life's to short to be anything but happy!". he loves to laugh and make people laugh and he takes his supernatural duties very seriously. he is usually a very good person in school and is known for his extracurricular talent of singing.

how did/will you meet? ; dahee attempts to skip class on the first day of school when she runs into daehyun. she recognised him as one of the good students from the past siari newsletters that wyn and teragita made her read before they enrolled her into the academy. when he asked what was wrong, she simply made an excuse and said that she got lost and couldn't find her way around the school. daehyun offered to walk her to her class and they began talking along the way.

relationship ; daehyun wants daehee to discover her true self within her supernaturality. he doesn't want her to waste her time trying to fix something that's already been mended. on the other hand, daehee would like to show daehyun that there is another side to nightlife that's much different from what everybody else in siari is used to. she wants to show him what she's been living with for the past 19 years.
