Weightloss Journal

Okay, so I have my last exam on Tuesday and then I have a big break to have fun, write more and take care of myself. So I thought it was about time I started on one of my New Year's resolution (seeing as the other one is not going so great -.-)

This Year I decided it was time to lose some weight. Yay!!!

 

Okay, so I know myself pretty well and I'm sure that I won't be able to keep this up for more than a week, especially since all my friends love pizza so much. Then it occurred to me that keeping a journal, or blogging about it would be my motivation to keep it up.

Basically I'm making you guys my weight loss buddies. Congratulations to all of you!!! <3

Because I want to be sure that I stay focused on my exams for now, I'm starting the diet on Monday. If anyone is interested in starting with me, please do feel free to pm me so we can encourage each other every day ^^.

I still don't have exact measurements (damn you scale for dying on me) but my height is 167 cm (which should be about 65 inches - not really good with converting) and my weight is around 72 kilos (I think 158 lbs). My goal weight as of now is 60 kilos by May!! 

I hope I can do it. 

I have been through diet before, about 2 years ago but due to a lot of stress and especially boredom I managed to gain back almost all of it. Let's hope the same thing won't happen again. 

Anyway, a friend of my recently went from 90 kilos to 70 and he has suggested I follow his diet because he has managed to keep away all the weight he lost for more than a year already. I'm pretty sure you guys have already heard of this diet: the Atkins diet.

Now I'm  little bit skeptical about this, especially since I love me some fruits for snacks but I think I'll try it like this: I'll keep the first phase for only two weeks and try to eat a lot more vegetables and salad than meat and eat lots of chicken and fish instead of red meat. 

So I will try to post everyday on what I eat, how long I walk or if I do any kind of exercises throughout the day as well as the results of the diet. Once again, I'm skeptical about this particular diet but I trust this friend a lot and if I see it doesn't work for me I can always change it.

Here are the things on my list for today, tomorrow and Monday: 

1. Buy a new scale

2. Take exact measurements

3. Buy lots of vegetables and eggs.

4. Start the diet and keep it up.

 

Next week I'll join a gym as well (not this week because my mum is visiting and I want to make sure she has a good time while staying with me) and maybe do a little bit of jogging every day??

If you guys have any suggestions I would love some feedback. Also, I was thinking of going jogging today as well but when I woke up it had snowed. It's still snowing btw. Here's a question for the people that live in countries with lots of snow: How do you go jogging when it's snowing??

I'm a chubby person too! Im starting my diet today too. But it's not a drastic diet, one where I drink a lot of water and eat normal foods EXCEPT junk or fast food
