Something that made me angry at AFF

Never thought I will see something like that on AFF happening to me! I alredy spend almost a year here, talked to different people, its really nice community and I enjoy it. But suddenly there is something new..

Was commenting on some story, and was alittle bit confused, becuase there seem to be small logical lap in the story. But the author got so offended, that she said that I don't have to point every single mistake in her fic, she does not need me to correct her english, that I should read Shakespeare if I want to read classic, etc, etc. I tried to joke - got rude response, tried to explain that I was just confused - I got even more rude comment. So I said that I like her story, but if she prefares to see everything negatively who am I to stop her.. And stopped the discussion. It should have ended like that.. But no.

What really made me angry and made to write this - I was back to read that fic and see in the comments that she was compaining to everyone about me! telling that I wanted her to correct and write her fic in the way I want it, that she does not want to continue updating  if "some random chick will point her every mistakes" etc. And the more scary thing - she was so proud how she was not afraid to tell me her opinion!

Now you probably all wonder what was that awful comment I made to hurt the poor author? Here is the "cut and paste" version.

I know that some people find it hard to take comments that isn't basking at their glorious fic, but that's just ridiculous :L

still, it makes me angry too! because I think you´re one of the most supportive readers on AFF.
it just shows how truly ugly she is to be proud of starting to say bad things about you to her mindless readers (who aren´t any better if you ask me for not saying something but encouraging her).
You are right, it´s not worth starting beef. at some point she´ll see she´s surrounded by phoneys who never liked her Or her writing.
Or maybe she´s being bullied in real life. It often happens that bullied people turn to be bullies themselfes in different surroundings.

As I said I wrote to her an explanation after receiving the 1st not so nice reply, but just got even worth response. She prefered to stay offended and see all this horrible things in my comment (seriously, how it can be read as "asking her to write the fic the way I want"? )than to actualy stop and listen.
Let her have her bubble, may be her life is really hard and that what she needs now, I don't know, never understood such people well, who is just rude without actual reason and proud of it.

It <i>is</i> a bit discouraging when someone points out a flaw in your fic. I would know, it's happened before. But she shouldn't have gotten angry at you for it. I'd understand if you had told her something like "WTF. That makes no sense. Go change it!" but you were simply wondering out loud about something that made little sense.
You did nothing wrong. She was just an overly insecure little bit*h who cant deal with comments that aren't about how wonderful and amazing her fanfic is. >_>
And that was really immature of her to whine to her readers >_> I've seen something like this happen before when someone got her fanfic reviewed and wasnt happy with it because 'they purposely said bad things to make her fanfic look bad'.
Why are there even authors like these on this site who can't take criticism? lol

I'm sorry that you got such reply.. Obviously she is did not matured enough to think that she makes mistake and try to correct it. Well, I think she was embarrassed that she made mistakes so to cover up, she blame you. Well, I'm trying to not judging her but she is seriously need to grow up. You are very matured and nice, you don't even put the link of the story here. I know AFF is not a 'gangster' site but if she still bashing you, you know you got us behind your back.. I will prepare all the we need! XD

I really don't understand how could she get offended by your comment? It was just a question... and if she's unwilling to listen to her readers' opinion she might as well block her comment box or something... readers are there to read your story and express themselves...

She needs to listen to comments and if the readers point our something off about her story then she should listen or else she would never improve. (^_^)... you did nothing wrong. She was the problem and not you.

The funny thing, I really did not have in mind first that it was a mistake. It could have had so many answers: like Taemin had a spare key; Minho actually forgot to pull the lock, he just thought to do it, etc. So it was more like "wow, how he did it?" And that's why it really was unpleasant to be treated like that suddenly.

I think you where just unlucky with the writer.. It has never happened to me though but i suppose it felt weird being told for only saying your not so mean opinion..
