Well in the 13 districts...now 12, of panem at least.

controlled by the capitol, these districts help the captiol function correctly.

until..

the 13th district rebelled and was 'destroyed' in the first civil war of panem.

now, the remaining 12 districts must fight it out in a bloody battle called the hunger games,

forcing 2 tributes from each district to participate.

the capitol considers it as punishment of what is considered as "the dark days."

You are then one of those tributes picked from the reaping.

You train and go into the arena fighitng for your life.

the last thing you remember hearing is that day you were chosen for this crazy sacrifice.....
