Her father, Noi Phengasack, died when Mi Hyun turned 7. Because of this, her mother, Park Joo Eun, refuses to ever speak about him (since his death was a tragedy). 

When Mi Hyun turned 10, she moved to South Korea with her mom to start new lives. Since then, Mi Hyun found music as a distraction. Singing, piano, ukulele, guitar, flute, and violin were all a distraction for her. She eventually got into dancing too tho. Music being her life along with fine studies, Mi Hyun grew up just fine.
