Very good! It is the acronym for Asianfanfics.

Notice that the word Asianfanfics is a combination of two words or three, depends. Asian + fanfics or Asian + fan + fics. Here we can clearly see that this is a site for fics about Asian artists written by fans.

Remember that the main purpose of this site is to provide a place where fans can write, save and publish their fanfics featuring Asian artists.

Humans here in AFF, most of them, are fans first and we or I call them, AFFers. AFFers log in to this site to read stories about the artists that they like. Eventually, from being readers, they become fanfic writers as they pen their own stories.

Fans. Fics. Asians.

Now, if what you are looking for is not within this category, I am so sorry but you are in the wrong place. This is not AsianProFics. Or UniversalProVels.

Apparently, popularity has been a hot topic since the beginning of time. I am no expert but I think it is about marketing. How you sell yourself or how your novel sells itself to an audience. Know your target audience. What do they want? What do fans here in AFF want?

So, make a story about Oppa.

What about the packaging? How about the plot? Sadly, this element does not matter much but there is a simple equation some writers follow to make an 'AFF-feature-worthy' fic. It is the same equation asian dramas have. I know it's cliche but cliche sells. Of course, the audience would want something new and so you put a creative twist in your cliche plot.

What is the equation? You know it already! Boy meets girl, they break-up, and then they make-up. It's not it? Oh right, add a third party - a jealous ex, rich controlling parents or the manipulative company! No? I missed something? Yeah, throw in a lot of craziness: they first hate each other; he's popular, she's a nerd; she lives inside a dorm with a dozen hormone-crazed boys...etc.

Scrap the last part, the craziness part. No, leave it there. Set your own crazy story in the real world. Make us laugh, make us cry, make us...fall in love...in this reality.

Sit back and relax, wait for the subscriber count to go up, up, up! AFFers are easy to please, most of us.

In the end, it is your story. I don't get to tell you what to write or how.
