personality : Seulmi, as the oldest of the family, became a mother-figure at a young age after her mother was gone. Her eyes were opened at how life is hard earlier than expected so she became matured in terms of thinking compared than the others her age. She had wide understanding about the world before her therefore she's an open-minded person. She's really sweet, caring, responsible and kind-hearted like how a mother could be. She's very accomodating with people, especially to whom she considers dear to her. She never thinks twice at extending her helping hand when someone needs her assistance. She's always trying to be there for her friends when they need someone to talk to or to hold on with their problems. Having the most experiences and hardships among others, she tries to understand people. She's the one to go to whenever you need someone to listen to. She gives honest and sincere advices to those people who are torned between their choices. She's a loyal and a committed friend you can always count on.

She is also known to be calm and a laid-back type. When there is problem, she never easily panics. She is always cautious and will immediately find a way to solve that problem. Being a mother-figure, she must remain still and inanimate when there is problem in order not to startle the others and that everybody will calm whenever they see her laid-back and cool demeanor. She hates fights between their friends. If there's a fight among them, she will stand as the peacemaker. She will be the one to take control of their problem and talk them out of it. She's like a guardian who always brings harmonization that's why she earned the nickname "Guardian" from her friends. Even if she's kind-hearted, she also has her limits of being kind. She's not at all gullible and Seulmi will know if you just use her. She has her bad side too. If she gets angry, she can be really cold towards you and she will ignore you as long as possible.

Even though that one incident crushed her living dreams and passion into smithereens, it depressed her in some point but that didn't end her life just there. With the help of her friends, she was able to overcome the pain and move on. She's never the type to give up just like that. In her perception, in every obstacle we face, we must look at every brighter side of life.

history : Seulmi was born in Seoul, South Korea with her father, Han Seung Joon and mother, Lim Kyung Mi. She is the oldest among the 3 Han siblings. When Seulmi was born, the doctors detected that she have an ocular albinism. But somehow, it's not at all severe. Seulmi's mother, as a former ballet dancer who quit ballet just to be with her husband, wanted Seulmi to have the same career as her too and able to surpass the achievements she have made so she enrolled Seulmi in her former friend's ballet class free of charge. Seulmi didn't want to at first but somehow, she learned to like it just a little bit. Their family live an average life but that didn't stop them to live their life to the fullest. Even though they are not that rich, they learn to appreciate life by living harmoniously. But in just one twist of fate, everything changed after that terrible incident.

When Seulmi was in middle school, her mother was diagnosed with a rheumatic heart disease and soon after, the doctors apologized for the Han family's lost. It was one of the most painful memory that the family have but they don't have a choice but to accept it and move on. From that then on, Seulmi promised to her mother's grave that she will take interest in ballet and will be able to achieve what her mother had set for her. She became very passionate towards learning ballet and became one of the best ballerina in her mother's friend's class. Her mother's friend, Miyoung, see the future in her so she recommends Seulmi to ballet plays and eventually along with Miyoung, she moved to other schools in order to pursue her career and do ballet plays. From the ballet plays she does, that's where she met her special someone. She then considered to be the most sought-after ballerina at the age of 14.

As time goes by, Seulmi's sensitivity to light tends to increase. She even have a hard time not squinting her eyes when she is directed to sunlight or just a bright light from a bulb. Just as how fast she skyrocketed in her career, it was the same for her downfall. It was when she was  16 and she was doing an important ballet play that could grant her a scholarship in a russian arts school. When the spotlight was turned to her, her eyes hurt, like it was burning. She fell down, twisted her feet and shrieked from the pain. They went to the hospital after that and checked her condition. The doctor said she had sesamoiditis which is an inflammation of the bottom foot, just behind the large toe. The said injury could only be temporarily treated by changing lifestyle but the pain lasts forever. Because of the injury, she quit ballet.

She went back home from her hometown. She firstly went to some depression because she failed her mother's dreams for her and her dream for her own self as well but that depression didn't really take that long. Her father, her siblings and some of her dear friends comforted her and lifted her from her down spirit. She slowly went back to her usual self and able to open her mind and realize things she failed to realize before. Before she knew, she was able to move on and start a new life away from the ballet life she knew.

sibling : Han Ji Yool / 15 / student / alive / sweet, cheerful, obedient, quiet / They are also very close. Jiyool adores her sister very much since their mother's death. She always have respect towards her unnie and always follows and does what is asked of her.

Han Sae Eun / 10 / student / alive / talkative, kinda stubborn, kind-hearted, bubbly/ Sae Eun is the mood maker of the family and always make her sister entertained with her stories. Although she is quite stubborn, she still obeys Seulmi often.

friends :  Son Na Eun / 17 / ballet student / charming, lovely, upbeat, overprotective / they have been classmate in her mother's friend's class. They were both starting that time and they were always beside each other so they became instant friends.

Choi Sulli / 17 / ballet student / cold, snobbish but actually helpful and very kind / they worked together in a ballet play so they became instant friends also. They always help each other with the routine and choreo.

rival :  Hayoung / 17 / Hayoung is a very hardworking girl which has an ambitious dream and she will do anything just to reach that dream she wanted to achieve even though if she will step on other people. She secretly hates people who competes with her. She always does her best when performing, telling to the whole public that she isn't to be messed with.  / Hayoung had always kept an eye on Seulmi. Seulmi was supposed to be the lead character in a ballet play but the coordinators chose Seulmi over her. She was mad that Seulmi took the role on her. She didn't really express her frustrations but she was glaring at Seulmi all the time. Seulmi noticed this and heard the news but she just shrug it and ignored Hayoung's glares. She apologized after that but Hayoung just ignored her too.

misc characters : Lee "Chunji" Chanhee / 17 / ballet student / He is Seulmi's ex-boyfriend. They're both from Miyoung's class and they also partnered most in the ballet plays they performed from other cities.

why she left : She left because she needs to pursue her career as a ballerina. Miyoung, her mother's friend and also her ballet teacher casted her into various ballet plays in different schools and cities so it couldn't help her to just stay in Seoul.

return :  She came back to 27th Avenue in order to get out and forget her previous life as a ballerina and move on by starting anew again  with the help of her old friends and old home.

O1. why do you dance? :  Seulmi's mother, who is a former ballerina, wants her to pursue the same career as her too but firstly, she didn't want to. Eventually, she learned to like to somehow. But then, when her mother died because of rheumatic heart disease, she promised in front of her mother's grave that she will take more interest in ballet and that she will be sure to surpass the achievements she had made when she was a ballet dancer. From that then on, she became serious and passionate towards ballet.

O2. your boyfriend has asked you on a date but you have dance practice on that day? blow him off or not go practice? : I will accept my boyfriend's invite and not go to practice. I have practiced enough, I should live my social life too. It won't hurt if I will ditch practice for a day and have a good time with my boyfriend for just a little while. (:
