I can't believe it's been a year since I first joined AFF. So much has happened and yet so little.

A year ago,

I was just beginning my first fanfiction about my favorite bias that was intended to be a oneshot,

but now I have that oneshot turned full length story completed, two in process, one more on the way, and who know how many more yet to be discovered.

A year ago,
I didn't think anyone would read let alone subscribe to my stories,

but as of today, I have 304 loyal readers who always make me smile with their comments.

A year ago,

I could barely tell any of the idols apart,

now I can tell just by their voice.

A year ago,

I could barely sing along with my favorite songs,

and now I'm actually learning the language and culture.

A year ago,

the closest I got to Kpop idols was a poster,

but I've been to a CNBLUE concert and am about to see Hangeng.

A year ago,

I only knew about DBSK, BIGBANG, Super Junior, and SHINee,

never imagining so many more talented, amazing, dorky, incredible men would find their way into my heart.

Who I was last year honestly hasn't changed that much. I'm still quiet and shy, but maybe a little more confident. I'm still thoughtful and artistic, but maybe a bit of a better writer. I'm still that farm girl from rural ia, but I'm experiencing the world. I'm still nervous about my future, but I'm slowly finding my way.

I just wanted to reflect a little on my first AFF anniversary and also to say thank you. Thank you to all my unnies and dongsaengs (I don't think there are any oppas, but if there are, I apologize), for making it a great year for me at AFF. Thank you for standing by me and giving me your support and encouragement so generously and genuinely. Thank you for making me laugh, smile, and giggle like a maniac. Thank you for letting me a little part of your lives and hopefully making you smile or laugh too. Thank you for just being my Kpop sisters; people who understand my fangirl tendencies, will giggle and gush over our boys, and most importantly, form a family of support for ourselves and the idols we love that defies the boundaries of fandoms and countries.

Thank you for a wonderful year and I hope we continue on the same way for many years to come.
